We've included some information below to help you get started for this trip on the CARNIVAL ELATION!

Carnival Elation was built to celebrate the muses who inspire the arts. Carnival guests like you can expect this ship to inspire you... to have tons of vacation fun. This ship will sail from Jacksonville, Florida to the beautiful Bahamas Islands and then arrive back to Jacksonville!

Not that Carnival Elation is going to have a hard time convincing you! As you head toward your destination, you'll find plenty of spots to visit for a tasty bite — options like the taco-'n-burrito goodness of BlueIguana Cantina, the burgers-'n-fries combo of Guy's Burger Joint, plus all the rotating goodness of Lido Restaurant. (Our suggestion: bring an appetite and try them all!) Carnival Elation also features places to enjoy a drink, from the mystical Alchemy Bar® to the friendly poolside rivals RedFrog Rum Bar® and BlueIguana Tequila Bar... and don’t forget everybody’s friend, the always-swinging Duke’s Piano Bar. There is also an adults only retreat deck, nightly comedy show and family games show events!

If being a kid is more your thing, we have plenty of ideas for how to spend your time. Activities that are age-appropriate, supervised — and of course, fun! — are available for the actual kids at one of three youth spaces in Seuss at Sea if you are bringing your children onboard. Then there's the video arcade... oh, and did we mention the slidey, splashy, squirty Carnival WaterWorks? We didn't, but we should have, because both of these are fun for all — all ages, that is!

The Sunshine State’s largest city has a redeveloped and revitalized downtown, full of upbeat shopping and lively restaurants, bisected by the scenic St. Johns River and its Southbank Riverwalk. Jacksonville is a gateway to the islands of the Bahamas but you’ll also have 20 miles of sandy beach life and endless acres of wildlife parks to enjoy before you board your Carnival cruise from Jacksonville.

  • Stroll the Jacksonville Riverwalk for views of the St. Johns River.
  • Watch for whales from Jacksonville Beach before departing on your Carnival cruise.
  • Visit St. Augustine, the oldest European settlement in the U.S.

Day 2: Fun Day at Sea

There are always lots of fun activities on board... or just lay back on a deck chair and do nothing at all!

Day 3: Nassau, The Bahamas

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Sightseeing, swimming and soaking up the island flavor — it's all yours for the taking on a Carnival cruise to Nassau, Bahamas. Boasting balmy breezes and jumping to a bouncy calypso beat, Nassau promises sizzling fun in the sun. The historic and cultural heart of The Bahamas is one of the world’s most popular cruise destinations — one million travelers board cruises to Nassau every year. Carnival guests come for fine beaches, shopping, water sports, and fun-filled attractions at the Atlantis Resort, connected to Nassau by a bridge to Paradise Island. Throw in a chance to swim with dolphins, or do a little slipping and sliding at a water park, and it's clear what makes Nassau a top spot for cruisers of all ages.

  • Shop the straw market for cute and kitschy crafts.
  • Pose for the classic ‘dolphin kiss’ during a private island swim with the dolphins.
  • Relax on the white sands of a private island.
  • Stroll 18th-century colonial streets and climb the sandstone Queen’s Staircase.

Day 4: Princess Cays, The Bahamas

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Cruise to Princess Cays and you’ll come ashore in Love Boat Marina — a sign that this private resort on the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas was designed to be classic cruising perfection. Make landfall and discover an island’s worth of vacation fun and amenities. You’ll find a BBQ pit already fired up for lunch, and a supervised kids’ area ready to receive the little ones. Somewhere among the palm trees you might spy the exclusive adult-only retreat. By now it’s clear that Princess Cays is good for more than just a beach day, but plan on fitting one in any way — this wouldn’t be a prime cruise destination without great things to do, and great ways to get wet, like swimming, kayaking, and sailing.

  • Rent a private beach bungalow and enjoy your stay in air-conditioned comfort.
  • Browse the shops for authentic, handmade Bahamian crafts.
  • Tour Princess Cays by dune buggy and sailboat to get the best views from all angles.
