Carnival Firenze®

If you're wondering what to expect from Fun Italian Style? Grab your movie star sunglasses and throw on a scarf — just for style — as you make your entrance at Piazza Duomo, named for Florence's iconic domed cathedral. To get a taste for onboard flavor and flair, check out spots like the elegant three-course Michelangelo and Medici Restaurants, traditional Italian foods, cocktails and more at Il Viaggio, plus Italian street food spot La Strada Grill. You're even going to find an Italian market, Il Mercato, featuring faves like sauced-up meatballs, sandwiches with inspiration from Italy and beyond, plus sausages and salads. And since we're always authentic… most of the time, you can enjoy the fusion-y goodness of Mexican-Italian Tomodoro plus Guy's Burger Joint, which now features classics and burgers with Italian twists.

For refreshment served up in a glass, look to cocktail bar Amari, frozen drinks with a bit of attitude at RococóFrizzante with its three specialties (bubbly drinks, snacks and coffee!), plus classic Italian cocktails and martinis with surprising and fashionable twists (and live music too!) at Moda Bar and Lounge. Even more spots for entertainment include the classic-theater vibe of Teatro Rosso featuring Playlist Productions shows, and Tuscan Lounge paying tribute to Florence's iconic home region. Let's not forget Terrazza staterooms — we could never! — which give you a stylish, comfy place to unwind from all the fun… near a private deck featuring exclusive amenities like all-day lounging at Terrazza Moda home to great views, drinks, entertainment, whirlpools and more.

While we're excited about the Italian side of this ship, it's not the whole story. Carnival has some true fan-favorites we knew folks would be asking for. That's why Carnival Firenze also includes familiar flavors like Bonsai Teppanyaki and Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. Places to celebrate absolutely anything (or just nothing!) include Piano Bar 88 and Serenity Bar, while you can seriously kick back at Cloud 9 Spa and Serenity Adult-Only Retreat. Kids are going to love Camp OceanCircle “C”® and Club O2® — each one is perfectly designed for a different age group. And if active/splashy fun is your thing, that's honestly a great thing and we can tell you're going to be spending time at WaterWorks and SportSquare, home to a ropes course, jogging track, mini golf course and outdoor fitness center.

St. Maarten

Explore two colorful nations on one exotic island on one vacation. Split down the middle centuries ago by two European powers, this 37-mile isle offers cosmopolitan culture, international shopping, and world-class cuisine with a laid-back Caribbean atmosphere. Cruise to St. Maarten and you’ll find the island’s natural attributes are equally fine: the rugged coastline shelters silky crescents of sand framed by green undulating hills. Enjoy the laidback vibe of the beach or put on your hiking shoes and explore ruins of historic forts. One thing’s for sure — when you cruise to St. Maarten you’ll come home with amazing memories that will last a lifetime.

  • Experience the thrill of racing the famous 12-meter race boats.
  • Shop the duty-free stores along the Philipsburg waterfront.
  • Swing to calypso sounds at a barefoot beach bar.
  • Hike through the ruins of French and Dutch forts overlooking the sparkling Caribbean Sea.
 Antigua
Discover your own slice of paradise — the white-sand kind — when you sail on cruises to Antigua. Here, legend has it, there’s actually a beach for every day of the year. (Leap years will have to share a little.) When you cruise to Antigua, located right in the heart of the Caribbean, you can’t help but notice relics of the island’s British colonial past — high tea is an afternoon ritual and cricket is the local passion, but this independent nation’s sunny island vibe reigns supreme. Cruises to Antigua are a great way to immerse yourself in all of it — the charming English culture and the irresistible Caribbean sunshine. Best of all? A Carnival cruise to Antigua makes it all a breeze. Got all that, chap?
  • Swim in the clear, warm seas off one of the island’s 365 beaches.
  • Enjoy the opportunity to swim with majestic stingrays at Antigua's famed Stingray Village.
  • Take a tour of historic English Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard National Park.
  • Marvel at the Antigua rainforest by taking a canopy tour.
St. Lucia
Take a walk through St. Lucia’s landscapes of magenta bougainvillea tumbling from mossy peaks, and listen to birdsong filling the air. This is just a slice of island life that awaits on cruises to St. Lucia. With some of the Caribbean’s most dramatic scenery — from the velvety twin peaks of the Pitons to the shimmering white-sand beaches — independent St. Lucia speaks with a decidedly French lilt. Climb green-mantled mountains and snorkel in jade seas on your sun-filled Carnival cruise to St. Lucia.
  • Visit the Sulphur Springs for a warm mud bath in a hot mineral pool at the bottom of the springs
  • Spend a relaxing afternoon on the beaches of Pigeon Island.
  • Shop in the colorful Central Market of the capital city.
  • Enjoy a fun cruise along St. Lucia’s coastline to experience the magnificent Pitons.
Grenada
Cruises to Grenada are ideal for those with a taste for nature and robust flavors. Known as the “Isle of Spice,” Grenada definitely leaves a flavor in your memories after a visit. There’s a reason for this, too… and it’s more than just the island’s role as one of the world’s most important producers of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and allspice. Meshed somewhere in the tropical air, the winding rivers and the fertile soil — a result of the island’s volcanic origins — is a life energy of a distinctly south Caribbean sort. On your Carnival cruise to Grenada, you’ll notice it at the beaches, hear it in the reggae and calypso, and taste it in rich local delicacies… like a dish known as “oildown” (breadfruit and fresh fish). Treat your palate — and all of your senses — to the magic of cruises to Grenada.
  • Discover the historic Fort George combined with a relaxing time at Aquarium Beach Club.
  • See birds, monkeys and more play in the treetops at Grand Etang National Park, situated in a rainforest.
  • Enjoy a day of snorkeling, swimming, sailing, and lobster ‘n’ champagne lunch.
  • Visit the narrow streets — and amazing views — of Carenage. This little harbor offers great shopping, restaurants and bars.
Martinique
You might guess from the name that Martinique has a little French in it. But you might be surprised to learn that this far-flung island is more than just a Francophile — it’s technically part of France. Pretty cool for a southern Caribbean gem, oui? The food consists not only of the French influences, but a hearty helping of the local staples like seafood and tropical fruits and vegetables. The big can’t-miss is a curry called “colombo,” the peak of local cuisine. The island’s actual peak comes in the form of Mont Pelée, standing 4,500 feet above sea level. There’s variety on this island, from forests to savannas to beaches. Speaking of beaches, you’ll find white-sand beaches on Martinique’s south end, with black-sand beaches to the north.
  • Visit the Clement House Plantation — one of the most famous plantation homes in the Caribbean — and see the historic house, gardens, sugar cane and banana fields.
  • Check out Balata Gardens near Fort de France. See over 3,000 varieties of tropical plants from around the world.
  • The adventurous can hike into the primeval splendor of Martinique's tropical rainforest.
Trinidad & Tobago (The Cruise will be in Trinidad on Carnival Monday)
Trinidad’s the kind of place where different cultures mix in a way you can actually feel — in the food, the music, and the everyday buzz of the streets. In Port of Spain, Independence Square puts you right in the middle of the city’s energy, with historic gems like the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception just steps away. Then shift gears at Woodford Square or unwind in the wide-open greenery of Queen’s Park Savannah. Along the northern coast, you’re surrounded by lush green hills that rise high above the island. The highest peaks — El Cerro del Aripo and El Tucuche — tower more than 900 meters above sea level, offering sweeping views. Not far away, you can explore winding mangroves in the Caroni wetlands, where vibrant birdlife — including the striking Scarlet Ibis — fills the landscape. It’s not flashy or overdone — just a place to slow down and explore at your own pace.

Dominica
Cruises to Dominica are full of nature’s best, and they feature some of the Caribbean’s most vivid waterfalls, hot springs, mountains and streams... all bubbling with life. Thrill to the sweeping grandeur of this verdant island, where wispy clouds swirl around velvety mountains and the air is alive with birdcall. On your Carnival cruise to Dominica, go wild in the lush terrain on a rainforest hike or a go native in a waterfall pool. You’ll spot flora and fauna of every brilliant rainbow color on cruises to Dominica, from the iridescent peacocks in Papillote Gardens to giant ferns along jungle trails.
  • Hike to the sparkling waterfall pool of tall Middleham Falls, set deep in a rainforest.
  • Shop for straw and coconut crafts in Dominica’s Old Market Plaza, in Roseau.
  • Float through the treetops on the Rain Forest Aerial Tram.
Guadeloupe
Of all the Lesser Antiles, Guadeloupe is among the greatest… and it’s about as fun as it is French. And yes, it’s totally French. The island group also has the title of largest European Union territory in North America. (Now you know!) Guadeloupe’s size gives you many opportunities to explore and see why the island group is called “Pearl of the French Caribbean.” As the name might suggest, Grande-Terre is one of the biggest islands of the pearl, and Sainte-Anne is the most popular resort town you’ll find anywhere in Guadeloupe. Not far away you’ll find Fleur d ’Epée, a fort whose elevation provides superior views of the island… and some of its islandy neighbors. And for our final installment of Local Fun You Can’t Pronounce, Cascades des Ecrevisses in Guadeloupe National Park proves that a splashy natural wading pool — complete with waterfall — is actually a universal language.
  • Take a dip at the Cascades des Ecrevisses in Guadeloupe National Park
  • Explore the shops and beaches in the resort town of Sainte Anne
