Day 1      TRAVEL TO NEW YORK
Arrive in Rochester and transfer to your hotel. Tonight, your Tour Manager hosts a welcome dinner. Meal: D

 

Day 2      SONNENBERG GARDENS AND BELHURST CASTLE 

This morning, visit Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park. One of the nation’s most extensively preserved Victoria-era country estates.  This 50-acre site features a historic mansion, greenhouse and both formal and informal gardens. Then it’s off to Geneva overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake at the heart of the Finger Lakes region. Here, you will visit the spectacular Belhurst Castle and enjoy a delicious lunch served in this truly beautiful and unique atmosphere. Later, you will arrive at Turning Stone Casino Resort, your home for the next two nights. Meals: B, L

Day 3      COOPERSTOWN'S BASEBALL HALL OF FAME AND THE ONEIDA NATION:  

Travel today to Cooperstown, home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Discover one-of-a-kind artifacts and get lost in sweeping exhibitions that explore pivotal moments in the game and its impact far beyond the field. Learn about the players that have been immortalized here and have inspired generations as pioneers and builders of baseball’s dynasties. Hear the stories that explore the game on the field, its legendary contributors and baseball’s impact of American culture. Also stop at the Shako:wi Cultural Center for a look into the history of the Oneida nation. Later, continue back to the resort. Meals: B, D


Day 4     ADIRONDACK EXPERIENCE AND THE CHAPMAN MUSEUM  

This morning travel into Adirondack Park to Blue Mountain Lake. Here, visit the Adirondack Experience with its more than 20 buildings overlooking scenic Blue Mountain Lake. Step into the rich history of the region as you browse the museum, row an authentic guide boat, break up a logjam or even climb a classic ADK fire tower. Then stop at the Chapman Historical Museum featuring historical artifacts depicting life in Glens Falls during the late 19th century. Meals: B, D

Day 5   LAKE GEORGE LUNCH CRUISE AND SARATOGA SPRINGS

The day begins on the water with a narrated lunch cruise on beautiful Lake George. Experience the lake’s best views as you sail north past the Lake George Club to see the stately Sagamore Hotel. Sail past Dome Island, a wildlife refuge and Speaker Heck Island, where bald eagles have nested for years. Relax and enjoy the rich autumn colors and fabulous scenery. Then we are off to tour the historic town of Saratoga Springs. Here, a local guide joins you for a tour of this unique upstate town. See the Historic Saratoga Springs Race Track, once a stomping ground of New York’s rich and famous, along with the homes district and Spa Park. Meals: B, L

Day 6   LAKE PLACID AND BEAUTIFUL ADIRONDACK PARK 
Travel north into Adirondack Park to scenic Lake Placid. Here, a local guide will take you through the home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, Lake Placid. After an included lunch, travel through Adirondack Park for beautiful scenery on your way to the High Peaks region. There are breathtaking views of New York State’s highest mountains in autumn color. Day 7   1000 ISLAND CRUISE AND SINGER CASTLE
Enjoy a leisurely narrated cruise through the 1000 Islands region of the St. Lawrence River while your guide shares historic, environmental and seaway facts. A stop is made at Dark Island for a one-hour walking tour of Singer Castle. Originally built as a hunting lodge by the president of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, Commodore Bourne, the castle became a religious retreat before being opened to public tours and is rumored to be haunted. This afternoon, visit the Antique Boat Museum where its collection evokes the nostalgia of days gone by along the St. Lawrence Seaway. Tonight, your Tour Manager hosts a farewell dinner. Meals: B,  
 
Day 8    RETURN HOME

This morning a group transfer to the Syracuse Hancock International Airport for flights out after 12:00 p.m.   Meal: B

Air itineraries will not be available until 15 to 21 days before departure.  Air seats are assigned by the airline for the entire group.  Seat changes can only be attempted upon receipt of tickets and documents at which time availability may be limited.  If specific seat assignments are vital to your reservation, we recommend you book individual air reservations rather than booking air with the group.

TRAVELERS WITH PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS
 

This active program requires you to be in reasonably good health, free from infectious disease, to be able to load and unload from buses and other modes of transportation independently, and to travel without preventing delay or requiring the assistance of fellow travelers or tour director.  Travelers should be able to tolerate handle very high altitudes.

The tour requires a considerable amount of walking over longer distances, unpaved and uneven surfaces or cobblestones, and potentially up steep inclines and stairs.  You must have the ability to tolerate potentially varying climates and higher altitudes.  Travelers requiring any form of assistance, including travelers with physical disabilities, sight, hearing or mobility impairments, are required to notify Relaxed Escapes before booking the tour.   We, along with the Tour Operator will review the requirements with you to determine the level of assistance you may need to ensure the tour is suitable for you.  If you require mobility and/or health assistance, you must be accompanied by a companion who is capable of, and responsible for assisting you at your own expense.  Our tour operator will make reasonable efforts to serve travelers with mobility limitations but is not responsible for any denial of services by suppliers or venues we may visit.  The Tour Operator's tour managers, tour directors, guides, drivers, or other tour, hotel, transfer or ship personnel are not able to provide individual services such as assisting with walking, pushing a wheelchair,  carrying a buffet food tray, or assisting with getting on or off the motor coach or other vehicles.

While portage service is provided for one (1) checked bag during the tour, you are responsible for retrieving your bag at the airport baggage claim and getting it out to the motor coach waiting for us at the airport. In addition, you are responsible for handling your own carry-on bag throughout the tour.

Hotels, transportation providers, sea and river cruise operators outside of the United States are not required to comply with ADA requirements, and may not have ramps, wide entryways, handicap-accessible hotel rooms, or elevators/lifts to accommodate disabled passengers or devices such as wheelchairs, walkers and motorized scooters.  If you need special assistance, contact Relaxed Escapes before making your reservation to discuss if your needs can be accommodated.

All cancellations or traveler-requested changes will incur a $75 per person cancelation/ change fee payable to Relaxed Escapes in addition to the tour operator's cancellation fees.
