OCTOBER 15, 2022

DAY 01:           ARRIVAL IN BANGKKOK

Upon arrival at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport group will meet guide and then transfer to the hotel by private vehicle and English speaking guide. Check in to the hotel

 

This evening group will be taken on an evening food tour by tuk tuk

Meet with the guide at the meeting point either at 19:00 or 19:30. After the sun sets, take a trip to the meeting point in town, and be met and be greeted by the local food guide. Then take off via Bangkok’s iconic 3-wheel, Tuk Tuk, for a ride to visit the best local eateries around the city. Bangkok is claimed to be the city that never stops eating.
Be taken beyond tourist zones for the most enjoyable midnight eating adventure. Take a ride and make various stops at places to taste a variety of amazingly delicious foods including the local favourite Northern Thai Food (Isan Food), the town’s Best Pad Thai, the best kept-secret Guay Tiew Kua Gai, and the popular home-style Thai snack. There is also a chance to sip a chilled Thai beer or a non-alcoholic drink at a secret, hidden bar. Between the bites, visit old-town landmarks like magnificent temples for a night time perspective of iconic sights of Bangkok (Wat Pho). This is a great chance to discover the side of Bangkok unknown to many tourists. After the tour finishes, be dropped off at the hotel by tuk tuk between 11-11:30 pm

OCTOBER 16, 2022

DAY 02:           BANGKKOK – HALF DAY TOURING  (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and today group will enjoy a half day Grand Palace & Thonburi Klong with Wat Arun by boat tour. You will be picked up at approx. 8:00 am. We will take you on a boat ride along the bustling Chao Phraya River and the quiet klongs (canals). Be taken back in time to a more traditional way of life, far removed from Bangkok’s modern skyscrapers. Stop at Wat Arun, the “Temple of Dawn”, one of Bangkok’s must-visit attractions. Disembark at Tha Chang pier to visit the incomparable Grand Palace, of course, the number one must-see landmark in this City of Angels. Be awed by its majestic throne halls and mysterious Emerald Buddha. Return to the hotel around 12 noon.

Free time in afternoon & evening.

Please note: Dress code for temple visit - For ladies, mini-skirts, and short skirts (shorter than knees) cannot be worn as outer garments because we will visit Buddhist temple during the tour. Shirts or tops that cover your shoulders are required to enter the temple

 


OCTOBER 17, 2022

DAY 03:           BANGKKOK – FULL DAY FLOATING MARKET & ANCIENT LIFESTYLE  (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel and today group will be taken on a full day tour to the floating markets

At approx. 7:00 am. Experience a more traditional side of Thailand with an insightful excursion to the capital’s outskirts. Drive away from Bangkok, watching the city’s towering high rises and busy streets fade into the distance.
After just an hour’s drive arrive in the Samut Songkhram province. Venture to a rural railway market, where vendors set up stalls along the train tracks. One of the most unique Bangkok markets to visit, watch as they quickly pack up as trains arrive and then unload and carry on business after the trains have departed. Continue through the countryside to Damnoen Saduak. Although one of the most touristy of the Bangkok markets to visit, Damnoen Saduak offers great photo opportunities and a unique chance to experience this traditional style of marketplace. See boats laden with fresh fruit, traditional snacks and other items being sold on the canals. Imagine a time, not too long ago, when residents would paddle up to these floating stalls to buy their daily wares. (*Note: Depending on the day, there may be the option of visiting less-touristy Tha Kha floating market.) For a closer look, hop aboard a paddle boat and explore the labyrinth of canals. Pass by houses and small villages set upon the water’s edge and see the ways of life of the people in this part of rural Thailand. Return to the floating market for lunch. Enjoy people watching while dining on delicious local dishes. Continue through the remarkable waterways by long-tail boat, stopping to visit a local Buddhist temple not on the tourist trail and continuing onwards to the King Rama II Memorial Park. Explore the ornate Thai-style pavilions of the park and learn about the former, beloved King. For visits falling on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the end of the tour will be spiced up with an exploration of the weekend floating market at Amphawa. After this insightful day in the Thai countryside, return to Bangkok full of fabulous memories. Return around 5:0 pm. Lunch included

 

OCTOBER 18, 2022

DAY 04:           BANGKKOK – CHIANG MAI BY AIR (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and then check out. Group will be transferred to Suvarnabhumi Airport by private vehicle and English speaking guide and will check in for onward flight to Chiang Mai (Flight not included)

Upon arrival at Chiang Mai Airport group will meet guide and then transfer to the hotel by private vehicle and English speaking guide. Check in to the hotel.

This evening group will be taken to Evening Khantoke Dinner and Show. You will be picked up at approx.. 7:00 pm. Come enjoy an evening out in a truly Northern style setting at a traditional Khantoke Dinner, one of a must-do-and-enjoy dining experience once you are in Chiang Mai. At dinner, your meal will be served on special, low, circular tables called toke presenting various kinds of delicious Northern Thai dishes. During the meal, you will feel more relaxed with gracious Northern Thai folk dance and show all along. Return to hotel at 9:30 pm

You will be picked up (Time TBA) for Chiang Mai Oasis Spa Lanna Secret. Discover for yourself the soothing results of the Lanna Secrets treatment. As time-honored practices of Northern Thailand are employed, blocked energy pathways are reopened. Energy obstructions causing fatigue, weariness and muscular discomfort melt away. The relief begins as acupressure is applied during the Traditional Thai Massage. Then Thai Herbal Hot Compress follows, which dissolve soreness and further releases energy to the body. Finally, complete relief comes during an Aromatherapy Hot Oil Massage as the powerful effects of herbal essential oils fuse with massage therapy bringing you to the next level of relaxation.

OCTOBER 19, 2022

DAY 05:           CHIANG MAI - TOURING (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel and today group will be taken on a half-day tour to Doi Suthep and While Hmong Village for a visit.

You will be picked up at approx. 8:00am. Venture away from the city centre of Chiang Mai for an insightful look at Thailand’s rich culture. Start with a visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Situated on a mountain rising high above the city, this sacred pagoda offers fabulous views of Chiang Mai and its surroundings. Walk up the stairs to see the exquisite gilded stupa and learn about Thai Buddhist beliefs. Then continue higher into the hills, traveling by songtaew, a local truck. Drive along rough dirt roads to the Chang Khien Coffee Research Project. Enjoy a fresh cup of locally-grown Arabica coffee and hear about the North’s flourishing coffee industry. It’s a short drive onwards to a village inhabited by the White Hmong hilltribe. Spend time exploring the village, meeting the inhabitants and learning about the traditions and customs of this unique ethnic group.
Following this insightful village visit, return to the songtaew and drive back to Chiang Mai. Return to the hotel around 1:00 pm and enjoy some free time at leisure.

 

Note: Upon entering any temples in Thailand, visitors must dress appropriately with their shoulders and knees covered

 

This evening group will be taken on a private Vespa Adventure Tour - Chiang Mai After Dark

You will be picked up at 6:00 pm. Start the night with a welcome drink and some tasty treats before taking a short walk downtown to soak up the early evening ambience in the park as locals unwind after work. Visit a variety of interesting neighbourhoods while zipping along the back streets on the Vespa to discover the diverse and delicious cuisine, nightlife and unique urban culture of the city. Embrace the famous Thai flavours while eating and drinking with the locals at well-known places. Experience the lively atmosphere of a colourful evening market. Enjoy a wonderful engaging food experience and create a famous local Thai speciality. Next head out and ride over the iron bridge to the riverside dining location to feast on some classic and traditional Thai dishes, accompanied by live music. Then hop back on the Vespas and ride through the city streets to the final pit stop. This live music bar showcases local talent and features some of the best musicians in town who jam to an enthusiastic crowd. Join us for a truly authentic Thai style night on the town to remember.

DAY 06:           CHIANG MAI – PHUKET BY AIR (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and then check out. Group will be transferred to back to the airport by private vehicle and English speaking guide and will check in for onward flight to Phuket (Flight not included)

Upon arrival at Phuket Airport group will meet guide and then transfer to the hotel by private vehicle and English speaking guide. Check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day and evening at your leisure.

OCTOBER 21, 2022

DAY 07:           PHUKET – SUNSET DINNER CRUISE (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel and then then spend the morning at your leisure.

 

You will be picked up at 13:30, cap off a day in the tropics with a memorable dinner cruise in Phuket. Transfer to the Yacht Haven Marina Pier and board in the June Bahtra. Designed to resemble a traditional junk-rigged schooner, the ship is the perfect vessel for a sunset excursion. Cruise onto the waters through Koh Naka Yai and take a short longtail boat disembark there to enjoy swimming and sunbathing on the white sandy beaches. Continue further to the Phang Nga Bay and reach a scenic spot in time for sunset and watch the sky change colours from blue to vibrant hues of oranges, pinks and reds. With an unobstructed view from the June Bahtra’s deck, admire the beauty of the southern seas while enjoying a homemade buffet dinner on board. Cruise back at the Yacht Haven Marina before being transferred back to the hotel around 8:00 pm

OCTOBER 22, 2022

DAY 08:           PHUKET – FULL DAY TOUR – PHI PHI ISLAND (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel and then then group will be picked up at approx. 8:00 am for a full day tour to Phi Phi Island. Escape to a quieter, more natural side of southern Thailand with this day trip from Phuket. Travel by speedboat across the Andaman Sea to the six scenic Phi Phi Islands. The journey to Phi Phi takes around 45 minutes, passing by spectacular limestone karsts that jut out from the blue seas. Sit back and relax, enjoying the views as the boat cruises closer to paradise. Pass by Maya Bay, arguably one of Thailand’s most beautiful places, just for sightseeing. The bay is so stunning, in fact, that it was used as the setting for the famous Hollywood movie ‘The Beach’. Continue around the islands, Phi Phi Lay Cove and Monkey Beach. Each of these stretches of island boasts swaying palm trees and white sands. There are also calm, clear waters brimming with fish for those who wish to discover Thailand’s underwater beauty. During the day, lunch will be served at Tonsai Bay. This southern stretch of Phi Phi Ley island offers sweeping views of the surrounding sea. The afternoon is spent cruising to Bamboo Island and possibly other island nearby, for more chances to snorkel and swim in the Andaman Sea.
After a spectacular day cruising the Phi Phi Islands, it is time to return to Phuket. Transfer back by boat and car, arriving at the hotel early this evening around 5:30pm. Rest of the evening is at your leisure.

It is strongly recommended that clients purchase cancellation insurance to protect themselves against cancellation due to illness prior to or during travel.
