WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

• Weather: October is warm and tropical, with average temperatures around 85°F. Don’t forget your sunscreen and swimwear!
• Currency: The Dominican Peso is the local currency, but US dollars are widely accepted. Bring some cash for small purchases or tips.
• Time Zone: The DR follows Atlantic Standard Time (AST), so plan accordingly for any time differences.
• Local Culture: Expect vibrant music, welcoming locals, and lively markets. Don’t miss out on trying traditional dishes like Sancocho or Mofongo!

TRAVEL INFORMATION

• Passport Requirements: A valid passport is required for entry into the Dominican Republic. Make sure it’s up to date!
• Flights: Plan to arrive at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). We can assist with booking your flights if needed.
• Vaccinations: No specific vaccines are required, but routine vaccines are recommended. Check with your healthcare provider.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• A Non-Refundable Deposit of $99 per person is required to initiate your booking and reserve your spot.
• Your reservation is confirmed once the DEPOSIT is processed, which may take up to 48 hours. Until then, all prices are subject to change.
• The Final Payment is September 1, 2025. If the full payment is not received by this date, your booking may be subject to automatic cancellation without any refund. We are not responsible for missed payment dates or deadlines. 

• We offer flexible payment plans upon request, allowing installment payments leading up to the final payment date. Payments are required by the 21st of each month, and you will receive automatic payment reminders. 

• All payments will be processed via our secure payments platform, which protects of your payment information. Please note that payments made through Jot form are final and binding. 

• Each traveler is responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary travel documents to enter their destination. Passports must be valid at least six months beyond your return date. 

• Depending on your nationality, you may require a visa to enter certain destinations. You are responsible for verifying and secure any necessary visas prior to travel. Meli's Charm LLC, Travels, will not be liable for denied entry due to incomplete documentation. 

• Meli's Charm LLC, Travels, is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trip. We advise travelers to keep personal valuables secure at all times. 

• While we do our best to partner with reliable vendors and service providers, Meli's Charm LLC, Travels, is not responsible for the actions, or failures of airlines, hotels, transportation providers, or other third-party suppliers. Any claims for service interruptions should be directed to the service provider. 

• Participation in any optional activities, excursions, or events is voluntary. Meli's Charm LLC, Travels, assumes no responsibility for any accidents, injuries or incidents that may occur during these activities. 

• Submitting your booking form does not guarantee your reservation. Your booking is only confirmed once the non-refundable deposit has been processed, which may take up to 48 hours. 

• Until your deposit is confirmed, all prices are subject to change.  

CANCELLATIONS

• The $99 per person deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Cancellations made before July 1, 2025, will be eligible for a refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable deposit. 

• Cancellations after July 1, 2025 will not be refund after. However, you will receive a 100% travel credit that can be applied to a future trip with Meli's Charm LLC, Travels. 

• Name changes are permitted up to 30 days before departure for a $50 administrative fee. After this date, name changes are not permitted. 

• Please arrive on time, including missed flights or late check-ins, to avoid forfeiture of all payments without a refund or credit. Failure to do so will result forfeiture of payments without refund or credit. 

CHANGES & MODIFICATIONS

• Meli's Charm LLC, Travels, reserves the right to modify the itinerary, accommodations, or activities in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as weather, hotel conditions, or operational challenges. If such changes are necessary, we will provide equal or upgraded alternatives whenever possible at no additional cost to you.

• Should unforeseen changes occur after booking, we will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests, but all changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
