Arrive in Accra and enjoy a seamless airport transfer to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, kick off your Detty December experience with VIP access to a local Detty December concert (attendance dependent on flight arrival time). This evening sets the tone for the week ahead with music, energy, and celebration.

Begin the day with breakfast before heading out for an optional cultural visit to Jamestown Community and the Arts Centre, one of Accra’s oldest and most creative neighborhoods, known for its history, art, and local craftsmanship.
Later, guests may choose to attend AfroFuture Festival (Day 2) as an optional add-on, immersing themselves in one of Ghana’s most iconic global music and culture festivals.

Day 3 is dedicated to exploring Accra’s most important historical and cultural landmarks. Enjoy a guided city tour including Independence Square & Black Star Gate, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, W.E.B. Du Bois Center for Pan-African Culture, and the Arts Centre.
Later, participate in a traditional drumming and dancing class, offering hands-on cultural immersion. The evening continues with nightlife, live music, or a concert experience at Zen Gardens (optional).

Roommate Policy (Double Occupancy Bookings)
Guests selecting the double-occupancy option without a confirmed roommate will be placed in our roommate-matching pool. While we will make every effort to pair travelers, roommate matching is not guaranteed.
If a suitable match cannot be made, or if a matched roommate cancels at any time, the guest will be financially responsible for the single occupancy rate.
To avoid additional costs, we strongly recommend booking with a confirmed roommate at the time of reservation.
All travelers to Ghana must possess a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity beyond the trip end date, two full pages, and a valid Ghanaian entry visa issued by a Ghanaian diplomatic mission, consulate, or authorized visa-issuing authority prior to travel.

• First-time visitors are not eligible for visas valid longer than one year
• Travelers may be required to show proof of onward or return travel
• Travelers may be required to provide evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of their stay
Applicants traveling for tourism will apply for a tourist visa. Requirements and processing times vary by nationality, and travelers are responsible for completing their visa process in advance. Cost of $100+ is the responsibility of the traveler.
Important: Travelers are strongly advised to ensure all required documents are secured before departure. Entry may be denied if documentation is incomplete. Entry requirements are subject to change, and travelers are responsible for ensuring compliance prior to travel.
Ghana is classified as a Yellow Fever risk country.
All travelers aged 9 months and older, including those transiting through Ghana, are required to present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate upon entry.
• The vaccine must be administered at least 10 days prior to travel
• The vaccination certificate must be valid (not exceeding 10 years, if applicable)
• Health officials conduct strict checks at all ports of entry
Travelers who are medically unable to receive the vaccine must present a doctor-issued medical waiver.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all visa, passport, and vaccination requirements prior to departure. Failure to meet entry requirements may result in denied boarding or entry, and no refunds will be issued for missed travel due to incomplete documentation.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.
Monthly payments will be due on the same calendar day each month, beginning 30 days after your deposit is submitted, and continuing until the balance is paid in full.
All payments made toward Detty December Ghana 2027 are non-refundable and non-transferable, including the $600 deposit. This is due to contractual agreements and upfront commitments made with hotels, transportation providers, and vendors on your behalf.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your investment and cover non-refundable payments in the event of illness, emergencies, trip delays, or cancellations, depending on the policy purchased.
Failure to submit required payments by the stated due dates may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of all funds paid to date.
