Please read carefully before booking. By reserving your spot on Detty December Ghana 2027, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions set forth by A Journey With Purpose LLC (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “the Host”).
1. Booking & Payments

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than August 31, 2027.
-
Monthly payment plans are available and required to maintain an active booking.
-
Monthly payments are due every 30 days on the same calendar date the deposit was submitted.
-
Failure to make scheduled payments may result in cancellation without refund.
-
If booking double occupancy, it is your responsibility to ensure your roommate remains current on payments. Failure by a roommate may result in reassignment or single occupancy charges.
2. Pricing & Inclusions
Prices are per person and based on the package selected (land-only or flight-inclusive).
Included items are listed on the booking page and may include accommodations, ground transportation, excursions, meals, events, and hosting services. Any item not explicitly listed as included is excluded.
3. Flights (If Applicable)
For flight-inclusive packages:

Airfare pricing is estimated and subject to change due to airline availability, fuel surcharges, taxes, and market fluctuations.

Exact flight details will be announced between February–March 2027.

Flights are economy class unless otherwise specified.
-
Once airline tickets are issued, flights are non-refundable and subject to airline change policies.
-
If flight costs increase prior to ticketing, passengers are responsible for any fare difference.
4. Optional Add-Ons
Optional excursions, events, travel insurance, and upgrades are offered separately and must be paid in full prior to the trip.
All add-ons are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.
5. Cancellations & Refunds

All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, including the deposit.

No refunds will be issued for:

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.

If the trip is canceled by the Host due to force majeure or insufficient participation, refunds (if any) will exclude non-recoverable supplier costs and administrative fees.
6. Travel Requirements (VERY IMPORTANT)
All travelers are solely responsible for meeting entry requirements.

Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the trip end date

Passport must have at least two (2) blank visa pages

Visa requirements for Ghana must be met prior to travel

Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into Ghana
-
No refunds will be issued for failure to meet travel requirements
Accessibility & Mobility Disclaimer (International Travel)
This is an international group trip that includes activities requiring a moderate level of physical mobility, including walking, standing for extended periods, navigating stairs, uneven terrain, historic sites, and venues that may not be wheelchair accessible.
Guests acknowledge that:

Accessibility standards in Ghana may differ from those in the United States

Many historic sites, transportation vehicles, accommodations, and venues may not be accessible to individuals with mobility limitations
-
ADA standards do not apply to international destinations or third-party suppliers operating outside the United States
A Journey With Purpose LLC does not guarantee accessibility accommodations and is not responsible for the inability of foreign suppliers, venues, or sites to accommodate mobility limitations or disabilities.
By booking this trip, you confirm that you are physically capable of participating in the itinerary as designed. Inability to participate in activities due to mobility or accessibility limitations does not qualify for a refund.
Guests with mobility concerns or special needs are strongly encouraged to contact the host prior to booking to determine whether this trip is a suitable fit.
7. Room Assignments & Roommate Policy

Room assignments (1 king or 2 double beds) are based on hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Guests booking double occupancy without a confirmed roommate may request roommate matching; however, roommate matching is not guaranteed.
-
Roommate matching will not be finalized until both guests have paid at least seventy-five percent (75%) of their total trip balance.
-
If a roommate match cannot be made, or if a matched roommate cancels, defaults on payments, or withdraws from the trip for any reason, the remaining guest agrees to assume responsibility for the single occupancy rate.

No refunds will be issued due to roommate cancellations, mismatches, or reassignment.
8. Conduct & Group Policy
This is a hosted, curated co-ed group experience. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful of fellow travelers, the host, local guides, vendors, and the communities visited.
By booking this trip, you agree to the following:

Guests must follow all instructions provided by the host, local guides, and vendors to ensure safety, logistics, and group coordination.

Punctuality is required for all scheduled activities, transfers, and excursions. Late arrivals may result in missed activities, and no refunds will be issued for missed services.

Disruptive, aggressive, intoxicated, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior toward other guests, staff, or locals will not be tolerated.
-
Harassment, verbal abuse, physical altercations, or threatening behavior of any kind will result in immediate removal from the trip without refund.
-
Illegal drug use, possession of illegal substances, or illegal activity under Ghanaian law is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the group and possible involvement of local authorities.

Excessive intoxication that impacts group safety, logistics, or the experience of others may result in removal from activities or the trip entirely, without refund.

Guests are responsible for their personal behavior during nightlife events, free time, and optional activities.
-
The host reserves the right to deny participation in any activity if a guest’s behavior is deemed unsafe or disruptive.
If a guest is removed from the trip for violation of this policy:

All remaining services will be forfeited
-
No refunds will be issued
-
The guest will be responsible for any additional costs incurred (including transportation or accommodation changes)
9. Itinerary Changes
The Host reserves the right to modify accommodations, transportation, or itinerary details due to weather, safety, supplier availability, or operational needs. No refunds will be issued for minor adjustments.
10. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against cancellation, medical emergencies, delays, or interruptions.
11. Photo & Media Release
By participating, you grant A Journey With Purpose LLC permission to use photos and videos taken during the trip for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.
12. Chargebacks, Disputes & Payment Authorization
By submitting payment, you authorize A Journey With Purpose LLC to charge your payment method for all agreed-upon charges.
You expressly agree that:

All payments are final and non-refundable

Initiating a chargeback or dispute constitutes a breach of these Terms

Chargebacks for dissatisfaction, personal circumstances, or unused services are not permitted
Chargeback Consequences
If a chargeback is initiated:

Your booking may be canceled immediately
-
You will be responsible for disputed amounts, chargeback fees, and administrative costs
-
The Company will submit these Terms, invoices, and correspondence as evidence
You voluntarily waive your right to dispute charges related to this booking.
13. Limitation of Liability
A Journey With Purpose LLC acts solely as a travel coordinator and intermediary and is not responsible for acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, including airlines, hotels, and tour operators.
We are not liable for injury, illness, delays, cancellations, loss, or damage arising from travel or supplier actions.
14. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or natural disasters. Supplier policies will govern refunds or credits.
15. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State in which A Journey With Purpose LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in that jurisdiction.
16. Acknowledgment & Acceptance
By booking this trip, you confirm and acknowledge that:

You have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions outlined herein

You agree to all payment, cancellation, refund, and liability policies

You accept full responsibility for meeting all passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements

You understand and acknowledge that all payments are voluntary, non-refundable, and non-transferable
-
You acknowledge that this is an international trip and that accessibility standards may differ from those in the United States, and that ADA standards do not apply to foreign destinations or third-party suppliers

You confirm that you are physically capable of participating in the itinerary as designed and understand that inability to participate due to mobility or accessibility limitations does not qualify for a refund
-
You agree to comply with the Group Policy & Conduct, including behavioral expectations, punctuality, and safety requirements

You understand that violation of the Group Policy & Conduct may result in removal from the trip without refund

You acknowledge that A Journey With Purpose LLC acts solely as a travel coordinator and intermediary and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers
