The following benefits are provided by Vacation Express and are not insurance benefits.
Cancellations:
You can cancel for any reason a minimum of 24 hours prior to original scheduled departure time as indicated in your travel documents or no later than noon the day prior to departure for hotel-only bookings. When you purchase the VPP, all applicable cancellation charges [does not include change fees or reduced deposit plan fees] as per your Terms and Conditions contract will be refunded in the form of Vacation Express future travel certificates, known as a VPP Voucher, less the VPP plan cost.
VPP Voucher Information:
- Vouchers are issued in the original names of the passengers on the booking at the time of cancellation.
- The vouchers are non-transferable and name changes will not be accepted.
- Passengers have one year from original date of travel to rebook and travel using their voucher toward another package to any Vacation Express destination.
- VPP can be repurchased when rebooking your vacation with the original VPP voucher.
- Under no circumstances does the VPP allow for a full or partial cash refund, nor can it be extended.

[This added coverage also satisfies the coverage requirements for Costa Rica.] This optional add-on provides increased coverage and must be purchased with an insurance plan and is not available as a stand-alone plan. The supplement for VPP can be added to your insurance plan until your final payment date. The supplement for VPP+ can be added within 7 days of deposit date or before final payment is due, whichever occurs first.
For VPP and VPP+ the cost is an additional $20 per person [all ages]. Benefits are:
- Increase in Trip Delay from $300 to $2000
- Increase in Emergency Medical Expense/Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains from $25,000 to $50,000
For travelers seeking higher limits, consider purchasing VPP with Supplemental Upgrade, VPP+ with Supplemental Upgrade, GPP with Supplemental Upgrade or GPP+ with Supplemental Upgrade.
