The L.W. Paul Living History Farm in Conway, South Carolina was founded by Larry Paul, a local businessman with strong ties to the farming community. The farm was built to depict what farming and domestic life was like for a Horry County family from 1900 to 1955, and it serves to educate present and future generations about agricultural life that is important in this area of the country. Affiliated with the Horry County Museum, the farm also preserves and protects objects and artifacts related to the culture and history of this time period of American agricultural life.
L.W. Paul Living History Farm has a gift shop with high-quality items including books, jams, toys, syrups made right on the farm, and more.
The oceanfront Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, which runs a little over a mile long, is the “heart of Myrtle Beach.” Between the scenic piers, ferris wheel, shops, and dinning there is fun for the whole family. The Boardwalk and Promenade have history dating back to the 1930’s when it was originally constructed. The city decided to do a $6.4 million dollar renovation in 2006. Construction was finished and the Boardwalk reopened to the public in 2010. Now spanning from Pier 14 in the north to Second Ave Pier in the south, this place has become one of the must sees when traveling to Myrtle Beach.
Forget something at home or just want a keepsake to remember this place by? No problem! Tsunami Surf Shop has everything you need from towels and sunscreen to beach toys for the kids. Gay Dolphin Gift Cove is the place to go for souvenirs for the whole family. This oceanfront store has been a staple on the pier for decades.
Other than fishing or just spending time by the water, the entertainment district of Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade offers a variety of fun things to do. The SkyWheel, a centerpiece of the district, stretches nearly three stories high with climate-controlled gondolas. During the fifteen-minute ride, you will get a beautiful panoramic view of the beach and Boardwalk.
