Your Itinerary
 

 

Day 1:  Arrive in Greece

Check in to the President Hotel Athens / Wyndham Grand Athens or Similar

Traveling is exhilarating, but let’s be honest—it can be exhausting, especially when we’re leaping far ahead in time zones! Jet lag is real, and adjusting to a new rhythm takes a bit of patience. That’s why we’ll be giving ourselves a full day to decompress, settle in, and shake off that travel fatigue. It’s all about starting our adventure on the right foot, well-rested and ready to fully embrace everything Greece has to offer! Your hotel stay is included in your vacation package.

Upon arrival at Athens Airport meet with our travel representative and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Meal is not included on this day.

 

Day 2: Optional Tour - Athens City

 

Breakfast is at hotel.

Optional Athens City Tour at an additional cost.

Today you may take the Optional tour to enjoy the Athens city, which will give you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis, visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum. After that, return to the hotel. Free afternoon.

You can choose to spend time on your own to enjoy Athens  or spend the day relaxing.

Day 3: Athens to Mykonos

Breakfast in the hotel. Early in the morning you will be transferred to Piraeus port. Embarkation on your ferry and sail off to Mykonos Island. Upon arrival in Mykonos transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Check in to the Paola`s Town Boutique Hotel or Similar.


Breakfast will be provided.

Overnight: Mykonos

 

 

Day 4: Mykonos

Breakfast in the hotel. Take the day free at leisure in some of the many cosmopolitan sandy beaches of the island, shopping or discovering the famous for its white washed houses and vivid night life, Mykonos Town. Optional choice to explore the island of Mykonos or visit the near by islands of Tinos and Delos with one of the plenty tours provided.

Breakfast will be provided.

Overnight: Mykonos

 

 

Day 5: Mykonos to Santorini

Breakfast in the hotel. Check out and transfer to Mykonos port. Ferry embarkation and sail off to Santorini Island. Upon arrival in Santorini transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Check in to the Splendour Resort Santorini or Similar.

 

Breakfast will be provided.

Day 6: OPTIONAL TOUR - (Sunset on Board) Santorini Volcano Cruise

Optional tour of Santorini Volcano Cruise at an additional cost.

Today you may take the Optional excursion. Start from the main port of Santorini Athinios port. The bus will pick you up from the nearest pick up point close to your location where one of our guide will guide you in one of our boats. The tour will start at 10:15. Our first destination will be the famous volcano of Santorini! After 20 minutes sailing, we will reach NeaKameni’s jetty. If you are interested to be guided at the volcano, you need to pay required entrance fee. You will stay at the volcanic island for 1.5 hr and in the end you will embark again to our boat for the next stop. Our next stop will be the island of PaleaKameni where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. We will stop there for 30 min at a distance of 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nicholaos’ beach.

Next stop is the island of Thirassia. Thirassia is a miniature of what Santorini used to be several years ago. Today is a virgin island, still untouched by tourism and modern life style. We will stay there for 2 hours, so as to explore this picturesque and traditional village as well as to taste the authentic Santorinian cuisine. In the end of our tour, the disembarkation will be in the magical port of Oia. From there, you can either climb the 200 landings of the port or by using the local donkeys and pay the fee. After reaching the top of the village, you will have the chance to explore the unique alleys, discover its rich market as well as to enjoy the most breathtaking sunset of your life! After the sunset, you will head for the spot that our buses will be waiting you to take you back to your place.


You can choose to spend time on your own to enjoy Athens  or spend the day relaxing.

Overnight: Santorini

 

Day 7: Santorini - Departure (JTR)

Breakfast in the hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

After a short 30min boat ride to Delos island, you will meet there your guide. You will have a 2-hour walking tour through the ancient ruins, with plenty of information about the history of Greek mythology. You have 1-hour free time on the island to explore yourself the site after you return to Mykonos by boat again.
 
The ancient island of Delos is a very extensive and rich archaeological site that combines ancient art, history, and architecture with a unique location in the center of the Greek Cycladic islands. Since 1990 it is a Unesco World Heritage site. This sacred island of the ancient Greek world was the birthplace of Apollo – the god of the sun and daylight, and his twin sister Artemis – the goddess of the moon and the night light. Delos was an important cosmopolitan Hellenistic settlement and after its declaration as a free port became a center point of commercial activity in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. Rich merchants and ship owners assigned artists and craftsmen to build luxurious houses richly decorated with frescoes and mosaic floors of outstanding beauty.

Caldera – Oia (Volcano–Hot Springs–Thirassia–Oia–Sunset)- Daily (Santorini)

It departs from the main port of Athinios (Thira) at approx..09:45 hrs with a traditional wooden sailing boat.
 
After a short trip of 20 minutes, it reaches the small port of Nea Kameni, where the active volcano is. Your time there is for about 1 hour and 15 minutes where you can walk up and visit this wild landscape with the different volcanic rocks and the active craters of the volcano, where there is still smoke coming out and keenly smells sulfur.

To continue, the boat will depart for the island of Palaia Kameni, where the hot springs are located. Inside the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, the water temperature is 30-35 degrees Celcius but it constantly mixes with seawater. The boat stays for about 30 minutes, enough time since there is no beach, but you have to climb down a ladder of the boat into the sea and swim a distance of about 30 meters to the interior of the small bay, where the mud baths are. You need to be able to swim this distance & back. Swimming is your own responsibility.

Thirassia, Fisherman Island, free time for lunch (not included) or swimming (1,5h).
Oia - After Thirassia, sail back to the port where you started and take a bus (included) to Oia After arriving at Oia, walk approx.. (5-10 minutes) to reach the top of the village; free time to enjoy the most beautiful sunset. Please be back in time for the bus. (Guide will not be with you in Oia)

Return from Oia by bus after sunset (included) and drop off at the nearest drop-off point.
