Insurance:

It is strongly recommended that clients purchase cancellation insurance to protect themselves against cancellation. Based on Escape & Travel's current cancellation policies the passenger may incur up to 100% cancellation penalties and should protect themselves with cancellation insurance. Escape & Travel requires all clients who choose to decline travel insurance to complete a waiver before making their final payment.

Insurance MUST be purchased within 7 days of individual deposits. In most cases the premium is non-refundable.

Passport & Visa Information:

Please ensure you have the correct documentation with you ready for check-in, security clearance and the boarding gates. For international travel, government regulations require all travelers over 16 years old to be in possession of a valid (return) air ticket, a passport and visa and health documentation (if required). Travelers without the necessary documents will not be allowed to board to avoid flouting immigration rules. Customers traveling to international destinations must ensure that their passports are signed on the space provided at the bottom of the page that lists contact details. This is a requirement from various Immigration Authorities which you must adhere to.

Please note that visitors who wish to travel to South Africa must have a machine-readable passport that is valid for at least 6 months after their intended return date from South Africa. Visitors MUST have sufficient blank pages in their passport. These pages must be completely blank, this is a requirement. This blank page does not include the page reserved for Observations, Amendments or Endorsements.

Non-South African passport holders must have at least one completely unused visa page for entry or departure endorsements by South African Immigration Service in their passport. Government regulations prohibit airlines from boarding travelers without the required blank visa pages, even if you hold a valid ticket and a valid passport. Please note that if you are traveling to other countries, you will need additional blank pages.

Traveling with Children to South Africa

Recently (May 2024), the requirements have changed for traveling with children to South Africa. For more details, please visit the relevant information page.

Further documentation may be required by airlines, please check with them individually.

II. VISAS

Visa requirements applicable to this quotation are as follows: At the time of this quotation, there is no visa requirement to South Africa for US citizens. Clients are required to have two consecutive blank pages in their passport for South African arrival documents or they will be denied travel. For Zimbabwe and Zambia, a univisa can be purchased.

*Applies to US passport holders only. Please make sure that all destinations to be visited or transited are verified with the applicable consulate(s) for entry requirements prior to departure, together with requirements for anyone traveling on non-US passports.

Health Information:

I. It is the traveler’s responsibility to check with their local travel medical professional for advice on any recommended vaccinations and health precautions for their trip.

II. Travelling with medicines: Some countries have restrictions on traveling with medicines (prescriptions and/or nonprescription). It is the travelers’ responsibility to check these requirements.

Change policy

At Escape & Travel, we recognize that unforeseen circumstances may necessitate changes to your travel arrangements. Should you require a transfer or name change on your reservation, please be advised of the following policy: A non-refundable change fee of $250 will be applied. Only one name change or transfer is permitted per reservation, and all changes must be completed before the final payment is due. This policy applies exclusively to the land portion of your travel package, as name changes on airfare are not allowed.

 Cancellation and Refund policy:

Having travel protection is the best way to possibly secure a refund. Please note that all deposits and payments are non-refundable. Therefore, we strongly recommend purchasing travel protection to assist with potential refunds.
