Embark on an unforgettable journey from October 29 to November 6, 2025, as we savor eight nights and nine days of adventure in the vibrant heart of Oaxaca. Immerse yourself in the mystical splendor of Día de los Muertos, where the city pulses with life through colorful celebrations, heartfelt traditions, and vibrant parades that honor those who have passed.
 

We will visit much of what Oaxaca has to offer. Our itinerary also includes a visit to the awe-inspiring Monte Albán, where ancient history and breathtaking vistas captivate the imagination. In Teotitlán, discover the artistry of master weavers, crafting intricate textiles that tell stories passed down through generations. Marvel at the surreal and colorful alebrijes in San Martín Tilcajete, witnessing how creative minds bring mythical creatures to life. We wlii see petrified Waterfalls, Tule Tree, and see how mezcal is made.  Don't forget the amazing Silk Sancuary where you will witness how a silk scarf is made from worm to wrap.

Day of the Dead Experience-Immersive Cultural Tour Summary

 

Wednesday, October 29:  

- Arrive in Oaxaca, met by Deb at the airport.- Transfer to Hotel Trebol.

- Familiarize with surroundings. 5:45 PM. in lobby 

- 6:00 PM. Welcome Dinner at Tr3s 3istro 

 

Thursday, October 30:

- 9 AM. Oaxaca Tour: 2 hrs - city tour 

- 11;30 AM. (Lunch, Not included)

- 12:30 PM. Alebreje Workshop: 3 hrs - Let's craft spirit animals

- 4 PM. Barro Negro Tour:  2 hrs - black pottery demo

 

Friday, October 31:

- 9 AM. Mercado de Abastos:   4 hrs - Hot chocolate, Pan de Muertos, culture, photography.

                 Afternoon nap to be ready for the evening

- 9 PM. Cemetery Vigil: 4 hrs - Night tour, stories, "Día de Muertos" experience. Bring comfy shoes and warm clothes.

 

Saturday, November 1:

- 9:30 AM: Monte Alban Trek, 2 - 3 hrs - Explore Zapotec ruins and panoramic views. Bring comfy shoes, hat

-2:30 PM.:*Mystic Masquerade: Face Painting for Día de los Muertos*(At the hotel $20Optional)

- 4 PM: Muerteada Parade, 4 hrs - Día de Muertos parades, costumes, dance, culture. We will walk to the Parade. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light sweater

 

Sunday, November 2:

-9:00 AM: Petrified Waterfalls and Sip Mezcal, Sacred Tule Tree  10  hrs - Hierve el Agua, infinity pools, Mezcal Plantation, Dinner, (Not included) Tule Tree, Bring comfortable shoes, swimsuit, hat towel. 

 

Monday, November 3:

- 8:00 AM: Threads & Tastes of Teotitlán, 6 hrs - Zapotec cooking class, market visit, traditional chocolate and mole making, local weaving demonstration.

 

Tuesday, November 4:

- 9:00 AM: San Pedro Silk Crafting, 8 hrs - Sierra Madre journey, silk production, sericulture, artisan interaction, hands-on weaving experience.

 

Wednesday, November 5:

 Free Day, Your Day, Your Way 

- Options: Jardín Etnobotánico tour, Masajes Nativo Spa, Textile Museum, Mezcal tasting, Jalatlaco street art, San Domingo Church, Contemporary Art Museum, Mercado, Cultural Museum

Wednesday, November 6:

-11:00 AM Check out of Hotel Trebol

 

 
 
 

Cancellation policy:

This Travel Services Agreement (“Agreement”) and the Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) at https://somanyplacestravelco.com/termsandconditions become effective between So Many Places Travel Co(“Agency”) and you (including all travelers on the same booking) (“you” or “Traveler”) upon your signature (electronic or written) until terminated in writing by you or Agency.

 

GENERAL TERMS

 

Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Agreement have meanings set out in the Terms.

By clicking the submit button or signing below, you agree to pay for all our Services.

Planning fees, cancellation fees, change fees, and unused travel vouchers are NON-REFUNDABLE, whether or not you decide to book travel.

All such fees are separate from the fees for your travel.

 

CREDIT / DEBIT CARD PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION

 

By submitting your credit or debit card, you authorize the Agency (or our agents) to charge such card for Services as of the payment date agreed between us.

You authorize the Agency (or our agents) to credit any amounts that have been charged in error.

You are responsible for all amounts, including any associated costs of recovery:

If you close the credit or debit card account you provide to the Agency;

If you charge-back any fees that were validly charged under this Agreement;

If your credit or debit card expires; or

If you have provided an incorrect account number or have insufficient funds at any time (including declinations of validity charged amounts).

In any such event, you agree Agency is entitled to withhold all Services until you satisfy all payment deficiencies.

The agency has no obligation to refund any amounts previously paid by you as a result of suspension or termination of Services.

You confirm that:

You are authorized to act on behalf of you and all travelers on the same booking.

You are an authorized user of this credit or debit card; and

You will not dispute any payment of fees under this Agreement.
