If you’re in search of a different European experience, just head north to the intersection of yesterday and tomorrow. Old meets new and tradition meets innovation on this cool tour of Scandinavia and its most exciting hot spots. With two-night stays in the capital cities of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, you’ll wake up to Copenhagen’s rush hour of designer-clad cyclists, Oslo’s stunning skyline “starchitecture,” Stockholm’s trendy galleries and gastro pubs, and Helsinki’s electrifying design scene. Within these hipster hubs, you’ll follow ancient Viking trails and the narrowest of cobblestone streets to the palaces and museums that hold the most fascinating historical stories—and the indoor and outdoor markets that carry the most intriguing snacks and souvenirs. The cool factor is illuminated on a breezy overnight cruise across the Baltic Sea from Stockholm to Helsinki.

This tour offers enhanced free time so you can explore or relax as you please, or choose exciting options available for purchase at MyGlobus. Angie Brandt of Both Worlds Travel will be in attendance and will suggest dinner reservations for our group and separately, and offer one or two special activities for our clients to consider separate from the larger group. An optional post trip to Tallinn, Estonia is also in the works and will be priced separately.

Itinerary:
- June 17: Welcome to Copenhagen! Angie from Both Worlds Travel will be anxious to greet you! At 6 pm, meet our Tour Director and travel companions for a welcome dinner at the hotel. We recommend arriving in Europe on June 15 or 16 to make the most of your vacation. No matter what you decide, it is best to plan for arrival to Copenhagen no later than 16 June 2023 (a pre-night hotel stay with special contracted rate is available).
- June 18: Copenhagen Guided sightseeing includes the royal reception rooms in Christiansborg Palace. Christiansborg Palace commands the scene on the islet of Slotsholmen with an 800 year-long history as Denmark's seat of power in central Copenhagen. This magnificent site houses the Danish Parliament, Prime Minister’s office, and Denmark’s Supreme Court and is home to visiting Danish monarchs with its resplendent royal reception rooms, chapel, and royal stables. Enjoy a free afternoon before visiting Tivoli Gardens.
- June 19: Travel Day Copenhagen - Elsinore - Gothenburg, Sweden to Oslo, Norway Take the Elsinore Ferry crossing to Helsingborg, Sweden for a stop at Gothenburg’s indoor market hall where you can find spices, coffee, cheese, fruit, and other delicacies from around the world in its 40 shops and eateries. Continue on to Oslo.
- June 20: Oslo Guided sightseeing includes a walk through Frogner Park containing over 200 sculptures in granite, bronze, and wrought iron, along with fountains and bridges comprising the life’s work of legendary sculptor Guztav Vigeland. Visit the stately Oslo City Hall, with its red-brick architecture, soaring towers, and 49 bells. Here, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place each year.
- June 21: Travel Day Oslo - Stockholm, Sweden A myriad of small lakes and little villages dot the Scandinavian landscapes from Oslo to Stockholm. You’ll enjoy serene natural beauty and lush green views along the way from Norway to Sweden.
- June 22: Stockholm Guided walking tour of the Old Town to visit the City Hall and the Vasa Ship Museum where you’ll cruise back through maritime days to see the historic Vasa – the Swedish war ship which capsized and sank on her maiden voyage off Stockholm in 1628. After 333 years on the seabed, the mighty warship and remarkable relics were salvaged to carry visitors on a fascinating voyage through history. Today, the Vasa is the world's best-preserved 17th-century ship and one of the most sought-after museum experiences in Scandinavia.
- June 23: Travel Night Stockholm to Helsinki, Finland Free time this morning with overnight sailing by starlight cruise with dinner to Helsinki, Finland - this is a special opportunity and Both Worlds Travel is very excited about it! Pack a small overnight bag as you will not have access to your luggage.
- June 24: Helsinki Guided sightseeing of Finland’s southern capital of Helsinki is poised on the peninsula in the Gulf of Finland, where striking architecture and Nordic cuisine delight visitors. Stroll the open-air market for traditional fare and see the beautiful cathedral and Sibelius Monument in this historic and picturesque setting.
- June 25: Helsinki Enjoy a free day, followed by a farewell dinner tonight at your hotel. Consider an *optional excursion* to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia on the Gulf of Finland to cross another Country off your list! Tallinn is a coastal gem on the Baltic Sea that combines an exciting mix of old and new with promenades and pristine beaches. Take in the ancient architecture and modern cityscapes, including the Old Town - one of the best-preserved medieval merchant districts in the world. Tallinn is an overlooked destination and worthy of the visit. Globus offers an option excursion and Both Worlds Travel is pricing out a post-tour trip to Tallinn for our guests which will be priced separately.
- June 26: Helsinki Globus Tour ends. Continue on to Tallinn, Estonia, another European country, or travel home.
Important Notes:
Price is per passenger based on double occupancy and does not include airfare or travel insurance. At the time of reservation, a non-refundable, non-transferable, per person, per trip deposit is required.
Initial group space held is 10 passengers and can be increased based on demand, so tell your friends and family and make this a great getaway with your nearest and dearest.
Full payment authorization is required by March 13, 2023. If not authorized on time, your reservation and all services on the reservation, may be cancelled and the deposit will be forfeited. Other expenses purchased separately from this tour may be impacted based on the vendor's cancellation policies.
After the Final Payment Date, any change to a participant’s name, trip date, or itinerary after the final payment date is treated as a full cancellation and new reservation. All guests traveling internationally are required to have a passport. Passports should be valid for six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip, with a minimum of three (3) blank pages for stamps and/or visas.

Kids are welcome on this tour, however, BWT believes children aged 12+ are the best fit.
