IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Visa Requirements for Brazil (U.S. Citizens)
    Proof of Funds (Minimum $2,000 USD) 
    • Requirement: Although, tourist are not always asked, please be prepared to show proof of at least $2,000 USD in available funds (e.g., last 3 bank statements or 6 pay stubs).
    • Why: As of April 2025, travelers from the U.S., Canada, and Australia need an e-visa for Brazil, and a key requirement for this visa is showing proof of sufficient funds, typically at least $2,000 USD in available funds via recent bank statements or pay stubs, or by having a sponsor. This financial proof demonstrates you can support yourself during your stay, alongside other documents like a valid passport and return ticket.  
  • How to Show Proof of Funds: 
    • Bank Statements: Last 3 months showing an average balance of $2,000 USD
    • Pay Stubs: Last 6 months
