“Walk slow, don’t rush. That place you have to reach is yourself”
~ José Ortega y Gasset (Spanish philosopher and essayist)
O'Cebreiro to Santiago - A journey for the mind, body & spirit
The Camino De Santiago or the Way of St. James is one of the most famous and historic pilgrimage routes in the world. Spanning over 800 kilometers and starting from different locations across Europe to ultimately lead to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, this trail has been a significant journey for hundreds of thousands of travelers for centuries.
Walking along the Camino De Santiago impacts not just your physical well-being but your mind, and your spirit too. The beauty, the history, the culture, and the opportunity to take in every moment will leave you feeling grateful, invigorated, and inspired upon completing the journey. The Camino is not just a trail physically, but a personal journey full of life and hope for all those who walk it.
The simplicity of walking from village to village on ancient paths worn by many before me, quiet days surrounded by the beauty created so intentionally by Mother Nature, and the weaving in and out of connections made with pilgrims and local people is what draws me back to the Camino de Santiago.
When asked to describe my experience of 40+ days of walking on the ancient pilgrimage, I always find myself telling people that you need to experience to fully understand. It was truly a journey that filled my heart and soul, challenged me and continues to be present in my everyday life.
Sharing this joy and the journey within is a passion project for me. I invite you to join this small group adventure and experience the magic of the Camino with me as your journey guide, walking the last 155kms of the Camino de Santiago as you fill your Pilgrim's Passport with unique stamps and receive your Compostela in Santiago. A truly remarkable adventure and accomplishment. The trip is an easy pace over 11 days through the villages, towns and forests of beautiful Galicia, Spain. The trip itself will be 16 days.
As your journey leader, I will offer daily support to help you get from village to village, whether it be to walk with you or support your wish to walk alone. Daily suggestions on what to stop and see along the way and meet-up points if you choose. I will also offer a supportive pre-Camino training plan, monthly group zoom meetings, 24/7 email or text support, tips for packing and what gear to take.
There is no need to worry about your luggage or where to spend the night. All of this is taken care of so you can enjoy every step at your own pace.
I have led groups in the past to the U.K, Europe, Nicaragua and Guatemala and travelled extensively solo, including last year's Camino. I consider myself an adventure traveller who gets the most joy from immersing myself in the local culture.
I hope you will join me on this incredible Journey.
