Flexible Payment Plan

Once your $250 per-person nonrefundable deposit has been submitted, you may make payments in the amounts and frequency that work best for you. There is no required monthly payment amount.

We simply ask that your reservation be paid in full no later than Wednesday, November 3, 2027.

You may pay weekly, biweekly, monthly, or make larger payments at your convenience. Please remember that any remaining balance must be paid by the final-payment deadline to prevent your reservation from being canceled.

    Day 1 — Friday, February 11, 2028

    Akwaaba—Welcome to Ghana! 🇬🇭

    Your unforgettable Ghana experience begins the moment you arrive in Accra! After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you will be welcomed by our local representatives and escorted to your private, air-conditioned group transportation.

    Upon arrival at the hotel, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and participate in a trip-orientation session. Interested travelers will also have an opportunity to meet with local dressmakers who can take measurements for custom-made Ghanaian clothing.

    This evening, we will come together for a special welcome cultural dinner—the perfect introduction to Ghana’s warm hospitality, flavorful cuisine, and vibrant traditions!

    Day 2 — Saturday, February 12, 2028

    After breakfast, get ready to explore Accra, Ghana’s colorful and energetic capital city!

    Our guided sightseeing experience will introduce us to the city’s history, culture, art, and journey to independence. Scheduled highlights include:

    Day 3 — Sunday, February 13, 2028

    Assin Manso and the Cape Coast Castle Experience 🖤

    After breakfast, we will check out of our Accra hotel and travel to Assin Manso, one of Ghana’s most meaningful historical sites.

    We will visit Donkor Nsuo, known as the Slave River, which served as the final transit and bathing place for many enslaved Africans before they were taken to the coast. This sacred location is also the final resting place of two ancestors whose remains were returned from the United States and Jamaica and reinterred in Ghana.

    After lunch, we will continue to Cape Coast Castle for a powerful guided experience through its historic slave dungeons. We will learn about the transatlantic slave trade, the conditions endured by enslaved Africans, and the lasting impact of this history throughout the African diaspora.

    This will be an emotional, educational, and unforgettable day of remembrance and reflection.

    Day 4 — Monday, February 14, 2028

    Cook, Create and Celebrate Ghanaian Culture 🎨🍽️

    Today is all about hands-on cultural fun!

    We will visit Global Mamas for a Ghanaian cooking class in Auntie Esi’s kitchen. Learn about traditional ingredients and cooking techniques as we help prepare local favorites such as jollof rice and fried plantains. Afterward, we will sit down and enjoy the delicious meal we helped create!

    Next, experience the colorful art of African batik during a hands-on workshop led by a skilled local artisan. Learn traditional wax and dye techniques as you create your own unique fabric design.

    Each participant will take home two yards of handmade batik fabric—a wonderful souvenir that can be transformed into clothing, accessories, or home décor.

    Day 5 — Tuesday, February 15, 2028

    Return to Accra and Relax in Luxury ✨

    After breakfast, we will check out of our beach resort and travel back to Accra.

    Upon arrival, settle into the beautiful five-star Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel. Take time to relax, enjoy the hotel amenities, or begin exploring the surrounding area before dinner.

    Day 6 — Wednesday, February 16, 2028

    Traditional Naming Ceremony and Cedi Beads Experience ❤️💛💚

    Prepare for one of the most meaningful experiences of our Ghana journey!

    We will travel to Torgorme Village, located along the beautiful Volta River. Upon arrival, we will pay a courtesy call to the village chief and elders and receive a warm welcome featuring traditional drumming and dancing.

    Our group will participate in a traditional naming ceremony, where each traveler will receive a Ghanaian name and a special gift recognizing their connection to the local community.

    After lunch, we will visit the Cedi Beads Factory to learn about the cultural importance of bead-making to the Krobo people. Watch talented artisans transform recycled glass into beautiful beads through traditional crushing, molding, firing, polishing, and stringing techniques.

    You will even have an opportunity to create your own bead to take home!

    Day 7 — Thursday, February 17, 2028

    A Day to Relax, Explore or Add an Optional Experience 🌍

    After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure! Relax at the hotel, explore Accra independently, shop for last-minute treasures, or choose an optional cultural experience.

    Optional Drumming and Dancing Workshop

    Feel the rhythm of Ghana during an interactive workshop at the Accra Arts Centre. Learn traditional drumming patterns using instruments such as the djembe and kpanlogo drums, followed by an energetic lesson featuring popular Ghanaian dances.

    Optional Shea Butter Museum Experience

    Discover how shea nuts are transformed into rich, nourishing shea butter using traditional methods. Participate in a hands-on workshop, enjoy local refreshments, and receive shea butter products to take home.

    Optional experiences are available for an additional cost and require advance registration. Regular transportation and guide services are not included during the leisure portion of the day.

    Tonight, we will come together one final time for our farewell dinner and celebrate the wonderful memories we have created in Ghana!

    Day 8 — Friday, February 18, 2028

    Farewell Ghana—Until We Meet Again! ✈️

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, finish packing, and take advantage of any available time for last-minute shopping.

    After checking out, our group will transfer to the airport for our return flight home. We may be leaving Ghana, but we will carry its history, culture, people, and unforgettable memories with us forever.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellation and Change Policy

Please read the following cancellation and change terms carefully before registering and submitting payment.

Cancellation Terms

All cancellations must be submitted to Escobar Escapes in writing.

• All deposits and any supplier deposits already paid are nonrefundable.

• For cancellations received before November 13, 2027, any applicable deposits and nonrefundable supplier charges will be forfeited. Any remaining refund will be subject to the supplier’s terms and the recoverability of funds already paid.

• Cancellations received from November 13 through December 12, 2027, will be subject to a penalty of 75% of the total land-package price.

• Cancellations received on or after December 13, 2027, will be 100% nonrefundable.

• No refunds will be issued for unused accommodations, meals, transportation, sightseeing, tours, or other services once the trip has begun.

• Airfare is not included in the land package. Any independently purchased airfare will be subject to the airline’s separate cancellation and refund policies.

Changes and Amendments

• Changes requested on or before October 14, 2027, may be permitted without a supplier administrative fee; however, any price difference or third-party supplier fee will apply.

• Changes requested from October 15 through December 12, 2027, will be subject to a $150 supplier administrative fee, plus any applicable rate increases or supplier charges.

• No changes or amendments will be permitted on or after December 13, 2027.

• Name changes related to airfare are subject to the airline’s rules, availability, and applicable fees. Some airline tickets may require cancellation and rebooking at the current fare.

Important Group Information

This package is based on a minimum of 10 paying adult travelers. If the group falls below the required minimum, the package may be repriced, revised, or converted to an individual travel arrangement based on current availability and rates.

Escobar Escapes strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel protection. Travel protection may help protect your investment in the event of an eligible cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergency, baggage delay, or other covered event.

By registering and submitting payment, each traveler acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted the cancellation and change policy.

Your accommodations include:

Rooms will be comfortably appointed and assigned by each hotel. Bedding may consist of one shared bed or two separate beds based on the travelers’ request and hotel availability.

The price is per person and requires two paying travelers in the room. Roommates must register separately and list one another as roommates. If one traveler cancels, the remaining traveler may be responsible for the single-occupancy price unless another roommate is secured.

Specific room categories, views, layouts, and bedding requests are subject to hotel availability and are not guaranteed.

Insurance Price

• Traveler’s age
• State of residence
• Total trip cost
• Selected insurance plan and coverage

Coverage May Include

Depending on the policy selected, travel protection may provide benefits for:

• Trip cancellation for eligible covered reasons
• Trip interruption
• Emergency medical treatment while traveling
• Emergency travel assistance
• Baggage loss
• Baggage delay
• Certain pre-existing medical conditions when eligibility requirements are met
• Optional Cancel for Any Reason coverage, which may reimburse approximately 50%–80% of eligible prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs, depending on the policy purchased

Travel protection benefits, exclusions, eligibility requirements, reimbursement limits, and covered reasons vary by policy. Travelers should carefully review the complete policy documents before purchasing.

Travel protection must be purchased separately and is not automatically added to your reservation. Certain benefits, including coverage for qualifying pre-existing medical conditions, may require the policy to be purchased within a specified period following the initial trip deposit.

By declining travel protection, travelers understand that they may be responsible for nonrefundable trip expenses, cancellation penalties, medical costs, transportation costs, and other losses not covered by Escobar Escapes or the travel suppliers.

Passport and Ghana Visa Requirements

The following information applies to travelers using a United States passport. Travelers using a passport issued by another country must verify their individual entry requirements with the appropriate Ghanaian embassy or consulate.

Passport Requirements

Each traveler must have a valid passport to enter Ghana.

Your passport must:

• Be valid for at least six months beyond the scheduled return date of the trip
• Have at least one blank visa or entry-stamp page
• Be in good physical condition
• Display the traveler’s full legal name exactly as it appears on all airline and travel reservations

Travelers without a passport should apply as soon as possible. Passport application and renewal fees are not included in the trip price.

Ghana Tourist Visa

United States passport holders must obtain an approved Ghana tourist visa before traveling. A traveler without the required visa may be denied boarding or refused entry into Ghana.

Ghana currently offers an electronic visa application process. Travelers can complete the application, upload the required documents, pay the visa fee, and receive the approved e-visa electronically. The approved visa should be saved digitally and printed for travel.

Apply only through the official Ghana Immigration Service e-Visa portal.

The current trip proposal lists the published tourist visa fee as approximately $260 per traveler. Visa fees, requirements, and processing times are subject to change and must be confirmed on the official application website before applying.

The application may require:

• A valid passport
• A recent color passport-style photograph
• Travel dates and purpose of travel
• Ghana accommodation information
• Flight or transportation details
• An invitation or supporting letter
• A valid email address
• A debit or credit card for the visa fee
• Additional supporting documents requested by Ghana Immigration

The local tour supplier is expected to provide the applicable supporting or invitation letter for the group.

Because the process is electronic, travelers generally upload a copy of their passport and supporting documents online. Travelers should not mail or surrender their physical passport unless Ghana Immigration or an authorized Ghanaian embassy specifically instructs them to do so.

Yellow Fever Requirement

Proof of yellow-fever vaccination is required for travelers nine months of age or older. Each traveler must carry the official International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis—commonly called the “yellow card”—and present it upon arrival in Ghana.

The cost of the vaccination is not included in the package price.

Important Reminder

Passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements can change at any time. Each traveler is responsible for obtaining the correct documents and verifying the latest requirements before departure. Visa approval is determined solely by the Ghanaian government and cannot be guaranteed by Escobar Escapes or its travel suppliers.

Double Occupancy

Single Occupancy

$5,411 per person

This price includes the additional $1,157 single-room supplement and provides one traveler with a private hotel room.

Deposit

A $250 per-person nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your space.

Your reservation is not confirmed until your registration form has been completed and your deposit has been successfully processed.

Payment Plan

After submitting the initial deposit, travelers may make flexible payments toward the remaining balance.

• Double occupancy balance after deposit: $4,004 per person
• Single occupancy balance after deposit: $5,161 per person
• Final payment deadline: Wednesday, November 3, 2027

All reservations must be paid in full by the final-payment deadline. Reservations with an unpaid balance after the deadline may be canceled, and all previously submitted payments may be forfeited according to the cancellation policy.

Important Pricing Information

• Prices are per person and quoted in U.S. dollars.

• Airfare, travel protection, visa fees, vaccinations, optional activities, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included.

• Double-occupancy travelers must provide their roommate’s name.

• If a roommate cancels and a replacement is not secured, the remaining traveler may be responsible for the single-occupancy price.

• Prices and availability are subject to change until the reservation and deposit are confirmed.

• The package is based on the required minimum number of paying travelers. If the group minimum is not met, the package may be repriced, revised, or canceled.
