Day 1: December 27, 2026 - Arrival at Kotoka International Airport
Local guides greet you with a warm Akwaaba (welcome). Transfer to your hotel in Accra and check in.
This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner by the pool with live highlife music, setting the tone for your adventure. Later, those interested can explore Accra’s nightlife with a visit to a few local cocktail bars.

Day 2: December 28, 2026 - AfroFuture Festival
After breakfast, shop at the Accra Art Centre, a lively market filled with crafts, fabrics, and artwork. Guides can even arrange for custom outfits to be sewn before departure. Following lunch, head to the AfroFuture Festival (tickets not included; we can assist with purchasing once released).
Past lineups have featured incredible artists and DJs, promising an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and style at El Wak Stadium. As the festival concludes, those who wish can continue the night in Osu, Accra’s vibrant nightlife district.

Day 3: December 29, 2026 - Accra City Tour and AfroFuture Festival Day 2
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then embark on an Accra city tour. Visit the National Museum, Independence Square, and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Stop for lunch featuring West African favorites, including the famous Jollof Rice.
In the afternoon, explore Jamestown and Ussher Town, Accra’s oldest districts. Walk past colonial landmarks, the lighthouse, and the Brazilian stone houses. Meet local youth involved in boxing programs, with the chance to visit a gym or catch a local match.
This evening, return to AfroFuture Festival for a second night of music and cultural celebration.

Day 4: December 30, 2026 - DuBois Centre, Pan-African History and Aburi Hills
After breakfast, visit TK Beads to see traditional bead-making, then tour the DuBois Center, honoring Pan-Africanist scholar W.E.B. Du Bois.
Continue to the scenic Akuapem Hills for panoramic views and a visit to the Aburi Botanical Gardens (est. 1890). Explore lush gardens and learn about their medicinal plants. Stop at the Aburi Craft Village to see artisans creating drums, sculptures, and crafts. Return to Accra for dinner, with the option to explore the city’s nightlife.

Day 5: December 31, 2026 - Cape Coast & New Year's Eve
After breakfast, journey south toward Cape Coast. Stop at Assin Manso, an important site on the slave trade route, where enslaved Africans took their final baths at the Slave River.
Continue to Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site and powerful reminder of history. Tour the dungeons and museum for a deeper understanding of Ghana’s past.

Day 6: January 1, 2027 - Kakum National Park, Traditional Naming Ceremony
Start the year with an adventure at Kakum National Park. Walk the famous canopy bridges high above the rainforest, then learn about the park’s wildlife.
Next, visit the International Stingless Bee Project, tasting honey and learning about sustainable farming practices.
In the afternoon, take part in a moving Traditional Naming Ceremony in a local village. Guided by chiefs and elders, you’ll receive your own African name in a powerful cultural rite filled with drumming and dance.

Day 7: January 2, 2027 - Cooking Class & Batik Workshop
Begin the day at a local market, shopping for ingredients with a Ghanaian chef.
Then enjoy a hands-on cooking class, preparing dishes like Red Red, Groundnut Soup, Fufu, and Jollof Rice.
In the afternoon, take part in a batik-making workshop with Global Mamas, a women’s cooperative empowering local artisans. Create your own handmade fabric to take home as a keepsake.

Day 8: January 3, 2027 - Elmina Castle, and Accra for Departure
After breakfast, stop in Elmina to visit the Castle of St. George, built in 1482. Explore its history, the fishing harbor, and local boat-building traditions.
Return to Accra for a farewell dinner, then transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
