Journeys That Fit invites you to experience an amazing 7-night cruise from Chalon-Sur-Saône to Arles via five additional enticing ports through what is called the 'Valley of Gastronomy'.   You'll start in the Burgundy region with lots of butter, cheese (some famously odorous), and hearty dinners such as the classic beef bourguignon from their infamous 'white cows'.   In Provence, you'll think you've migrated to the Mediterranean while enjoying fragrances of lavender and tastes of olive oil, fish at one of Lyon's many Michelin Star restaurants. While you’ll get more than a taste of Burgundy and Provence during this itinerary, the essence of these destinations will linger on your palate – and in your heart – for a lifetime!

YOUR SHIP - AmaCello
This 144-passenger ship features spacious staterooms, and in keeping with the French theme, most staterooms feature a French balcony (floor to ceiling sliding doors), as well as amenities that include entertainment-on-demand, air conditioning and an in-room safe.  The glorious sun deck offers a soothing whirlpool, giant chess set and recliners from which to drink up the extraordinary scenery.  A fitness room, sauna and massage room are also available for your enjoyment on board this incredible river ship.

    • Get acquainted with Geneva, the gateway to the Swiss Alps, on your guided walking tour. With traditions in both watchmaking and chocolate making, this beautiful city has a rich history, which you will glimpse during your excursion.  Also, venture south to the “Pearl of the French Alps,” Annecy, home to beautiful castles, and then to Chillon Castle, a picture-perfect medieval island fortress.  End your tour in stunning Dijon!

 

  • Barcelona, Spain  June 23 - 26
  • Hotel - NH Collection Barcelona,  ONLY $250 p/p available only through us and with extremely limited quantity!   After promotional rooms reserved price changes to $1170 p/p.   Price includes hotel, city tours, daily breakfast & ground transfer between ship & hotel.
    • Enjoy the highlights of Nimes, a delightful town with one of the finest collections of Roman buildings in France before boarding the high-speed train.   Alternative trip to Chateauneuf du Pape is possible too.   In Barcelona, tour the cobblestoned lanes of the Gothic Quarter in the medieval city center and Las Ramblas. Visit Montjuïc Hill and see some imaginative architectural creations, highlights of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Works of Antoni Gaudi,” including La Sagrada Familia. Enjoy an excursion to the mountain Montserrat, which is home to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat.  
 
AIRARE
330 days or less prior to departure you may reserve air through AmaWaterways for a deposit of $350 p/p for economy and $600 p/p for business/first.    Final ticketing will occur within 75-90 days of travel, once the cruise is paid in full.    Seat assignments are available for premium economy or above after deposit.   Economy would need to purchase the tickets to assign seats.   Ground transfers to/from the ship are included when booking with Ama's air department without deviations to standard arrival and departure dates.

    • $400 AmaWaterways deposit, 50% non-refundable, but 100% may be transferred to future sailing.

  • Solo Travelers - if a traveling companion is not registered in your cabin by final payment, then 200% of p/p price is due.

Step 2:  Indicate the number of travelers in your cabin (1 or 2), then select cabin category and enter each traveler's contact information.  

Step 3:  Review your selection and associated pricing, enter your credit card details and electronically sign the credit card authorization form.

We'll email a detailed questionnaire to collect additional needed information for this exciting sailing.

Cancellation charges are per-person, based upon cancellation date, as follows:
(i)  90-120 days before sailing:  $400
(ii) 60-89 days prior to sailing:   35%  of reservations except air
(iii) 30-59 days prior to sailing:  50% of reservations except air
(iv)  7-29 days prior to sailing:  80% of reservations except air
(v)   6 days prior to sailing:  100% of reservations except air
(vi)  Inside 24 hrs prior to sailing:  100% airfare
