Itinerary (Arrival at Athens Airport; Departure from Santorini Airport)

 
DAY 1- Athens - Arrival (ATH)

 

Upon arrival at Athens Airport meet with our representative and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 - Athens City Tour

 

Breakfast is at hotel.

Optional Athens City Tour at an additional cost.

Today you take will enjoy the Athens city tour, which will give you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex-Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis, visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis Museum. After that, return to the hotel. Free afternoon.

 DAY 3 -Athens - Mykonos

 

Breakfast in the hotel. Early in the morning you will be transferred to Piraeus port. Embarkation on your ferry and sail off to Mykonos Island. Upon arrival in Mykonos transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.

 DAY 4 - Mykonos

 

Breakfast in the hotel. Take the day free at leisure in some of the many cosmopolitan sandy beaches of the island, shopping or discovering the famous for its whitewashed houses and vivid night life, Mykonos Town. Optional choice to explore the island of Mykonos or visit the nearby islands of Tinos and Delos with one of the plenty tours provided.

DAY 5 - Mykonos - Santorini

 

Breakfast in the hotel. Check out and transfer to Mykonos port. Ferry embarkation and sail off to Santorini Island. Upon arrival in Santorini transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.

DAY 6 - OPTIONAL TOUR - (Sunset on Board) Santorini Volcano Cruise - ($130 PER PERSON)

Optional tour of Santorini Volcano Cruise at an additional cost.

Today you may take the Optional excursion. Start from the main port of Santorini Athinios port. The bus will pick you up from the nearest pick-up point close to your location where one of our guides will guide you in one of our boats. The tour will start at 10:15. Our first destination will be the famous volcano of Santorini! After 20 minutes sailing, we will reach NeaKameni’s jetty. If you are interested to be guided at the volcano, you need to pay required entrance fee. You will stay at the volcanic island for 1.5 hr and in the end you will embark again to our boat for the next stop. Our next stop will be the island of PaleaKameni where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. We will stop there for 30 min at a distance of 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nicholaos’ beach.

Next stop is the island of Thirassia. Thirassia is a miniature of what Santorini used to be several years ago. Today is a virgin island, still untouched by tourism and modern lifestyle. We will stay there for 2 hours, so as to explore this picturesque and traditional village as well as to taste the authentic Santorinian cuisine. In the end of our tour, the disembarkation will be in the magical port of Oia. From there, you can either climb the 200 landings of the port or by using the local donkeys and pay the fee. After reaching the top of the village, you will have the chance to explore the unique alleys, discover its rich market as well as to enjoy the most breathtaking sunset of your life! After the sunset, you will head for the spot that our buses will be waiting you to take you back to your place.

 DAY 7- Santorini - Departure (JTR)

Travel Notes

Traveling abroad require a passport valid for six months beyond travel dates. For this tour, your passport should not expire before April 19, 2025. The group flight will leave the United States on Oct. 18, 2024, and arrive in Bali on Oct. 19, 2024. Check-in to the hotel is Oct. 19, 2024. If you are purchasing your own flight, you should make note of these dates and plan your flight and airport transfer accordingly.

The excursion stars from the designated pick-up points, from where will be driven to Athinios port in order to embark on the traditional boat. The first stop of your adventure is the volcano of Santorini in Nea Kameni Island, where you will have the opportunity to climb on the top of the volcano, see and take photos of the active crater and walk on its rims. The next destination is Palia Kameni where you will dive and swim in the hot springs created by the underwater powers of the volcano. Sailing above the underwater craters from Palia Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor close to the island, and you will have the time to ship with your wine. In the north cape of Santorini, you will admire the magical view of Oia village with its small famous white houses! The end of the excursion comes on sunset time. The boat sets sails and the sun dives to the sea.
