Travel Through Greece And Discover The Land Where Gods Were Born

This 8-day classic group tour visits three of the most iconic locations in Greece. Starting with two nights in historical Athens, you will head for the idyllic islands of Mykonos and Santorini for good food and plenty of sun.

Athens, Greece’s capital, is packed with important historical sites. Start your stay with an extensive tour of the Acropolis, which overlooks Athens from a rocky hill. It is crowned by the Parthenon, the temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. Then, spend the rest of your day exploring the city at your leisure.

The following day your group will board the ferry to Mykonos. A tour of this unspoiled island reveals whitewashed buildings, stunning beaches, and sweeping views. You will visit several local churches as you explore the narrow streets of Choros and neighboring villages.

The following day is yours at leisure to keep exploring or simply relax on the beach.

When you arrive in Santorini, you will be thrilled to see that it looks much like the postcards promise. While you are here, you will see the famous blue-domed houses and the village of Oia and stop for lunch at a local vineyard.

Finish the day in Fira for a fantastic sunset. Your next day is at leisure to do as you wish. Transfer back to Athens by fast ferry the following day for a fabulous farewell dinner with your group in the lively Plaka neighborhood.

You will return to the airport the following morning for your onward travels.

Mykonos at Leisure

Breakfast at the hotel. The day will be at leisure to explore the island at your own pace.

Optional tour: Mykonian Spiti Farm Barbeque. (additional cost)
The Mykonian Spiti farm barbeque is a unique experience that will start at 5 pm from the hotel, where the bus will pick us up and drive us to the farm. We will drive across the center of the island that unites the city (Hora) of Mykonos with the village of Ano Mera. Once we arrive at the Mykonian Farm, we will be greeted by the Farm's superintendent, who will welcome us with traditional treats, such as the famous Greek Delights (loukoumi) and dried figs. Then, we will sit and relax on a traditional stone-built couch sipping raki while learning the history of the island's farming, livestock, and crops. Afterward, he will guide us through the farm, showing us how the organic and the animal farming operates. All our farm animals (pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, and our proud donkey "Konstantis") will also be there to greet and meet us. Depending on the season, you can cut and savor products from the vegetable garden. For those visitors who wish to get involved with farming tasks, the superintendent will provide you with the right tools and instructions as you go along.

Immediately after the farming tour begins the Hellenic barbeque experience, which is filled with gastronomic delights that will make your stomach rumble throughout the procedure. Our experienced grill man will start the fire, and a variety of the highest quality Hellenic meat will be there to consume at the "feast." All participants will take turns in learning the Hellenic practices of Barbequing, constantly guided by our grill man.

During the whole procedure, you will also learn to make necessary side dishes, such as the famous Horiatiki Salad, which of course will consist of ingredients straight from our farm, the well-known tzatziki sauce, with fresh cucumbers directly picked from our garden and also a fresh Mykonian sausage omelet will be cooked on the spot, with eggs that you will pick directly from our coop. All necessary equipment for the barbeque will be provided for all participants. The "junketing" and the consumption of meat, wines, drinks are free of charge with no limit on quantity and time duration and will be served under our shady pavilion perfectly located on our farm. Ensure that your outfit is casual, as there is little room for a "formal dress code" on the farm.

After this experience ends, there will be a photo session with guests and staff; at the end, you will transfer to your hotel.
