FAQ:
How much deposit is required per booking?
Deposits are 20% - 25% of your voyage fare (not taxes and fees), and they are due at the time of booking. However, if you're booking less than 120 days prior to your voyage start date, full voyage fare would be required.
When is my final payment due?
Final payment is due 120 days prior to your voyage start date - or at time of booking within 120 days of voyage start date.
Do you offer voyage financing options?
Virgin Voyages has partnered with Uplift to provide Sailors with a flexible, pay-over-time financing option, making travel both more accessible and affordable. With Uplift, Sailors have the ability to make monthly payments on their voyage. Email keepitmovingtravelers@gmail.com for more information.
Are you able to accommodate my dietary requests and/or food allergies?
The expansive food and beverage offerings should be able to accommodate most dietary needs and requests, but be sure to ask the Sailor Services Crew regarding any specific requests or allergy concerns. Please note, Virgin Voyages IS NOT an allergen-free kitchen.
Can I book connecting cabins?
Yes, there are a limited number of adjoining cabins so be sure to book early.
Can I bring alcohol on board?
Sailors are welcome to bring two (2) 750mL bottles of wine per cabin in carry-on bags (sorry, no liquor or beer please). Please note, any alcohol in your checked luggage will be collected pre-sailing and returned once your voyage is complete. You are also welcome to bring specialty liquors from a port of call on board. Simply hand them to the security team as you board, and they will hold them until your final night.
Can I bring water or soft drinks on board?
Outside water or soft drinks in boxes and cans are permitted in hand luggage only. There won't be unnecessary single-use plastics, including straws, water bottles, shopping bags, food packaging, stirrers and takeaway cups ship wide. Unlimited sparkling water, non-pressed juices, soda, sachet tea and drip coffee will be included.
Can I bring food on board?
With more than 20+ delicious options available, there's no need to bring food on board. However, if you have a necessary item or dietary supplement you must bring on board, feel free to contact out Sailor Services Crew for special clearance.
Can I choose a specific cabin, or will one be assigned to me?
In an effort to make your booking experience as seamless as possible, our web-based booking allows Sailors to choose a specific cabin category. We will then assign the best cabin available based on the selected criteria. However, if you wish to choose a more specific cabin or suite, you can reach out to our Sailor Services Crew or your travel agent for help.
What documents are required to sail?
While Sailors are free to voyage at will, some global rules for travel still apply. US Citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months after the voyage end date. Non-US citizens with a valid passport will require the necessary visa (if they apply) to travel back into the US after the voyage has completed. Please visit https://travel.state.gov for more information.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking will only be permitted in a designated smoking room and on the top deck outdoor area. Smoking is not allowed on any cabin terraces. Smoking of any kind outside of designated areas (even with a "vape" device) will result in a $1000 fee, is a material breach of your ticket contract, and may result in you being disembarked at the next port with no refund. Any repatriating fees will be charged to your onboard account.
What's the earliest recommended flight departure after my voyage?
We recommend booking a flight out of MIA with a departure time no earlier than 12 PM.
