Cruise and paint Norway June 18 - 28, 2027 on a watercolor workshop cruise with instructor Al Kline.

Experience Norway like never before with our watercolor workshops at sea. Partnering with Windstar Cruises, this unique Norway watercolor cruise itinerary takes you through dramatic fjords, charming Nordic villages, cascading waterfalls, and some of the most breathtaking scenery in Scandinavia. From travel sketching in colorful coastal towns to painting the ever-changing light of the Norwegian fjords, this journey is designed to inspire creativity at every turn. Enjoy a balance of immersive destination experiences and small-group classroom-style instruction onboard with artist Andrea Patton, all while sailing aboard an intimate small ship designed to access ports larger ships simply cannot reach.

*This workshop is for intermediate to advanced painters and travel sketchers.

Deposit & Final Payment:

To secure your spot on the workshop, a two-part deposit is required: 1) 15% of the total cruise fare due directly to the cruise line, and 2) a $1,250.00 USD non-refundable deposit to secure your place in the workshop. Part 1 of the deposit is fully refundable until January 19, 2027, minus a $150 processing fee.
 
Final payment deadlines will be outlined in your Windstar and Paint By Destination booking confirmation.

About The Watercolor Workshop

Watercolor workshops will be half-day sessions, for up to three hours per day. These are not full day workshops. Instruction will take place onboard in a dedicated classroom space. These workshops are designed to compliment the travel experience, not take over the day. There will be no painting or instruction during the guided excursions, as our sessions will be scheduled before or after.

This fee covers participation in the onboard and on-location watercolor workshop and includes:

  • Professional instruction and guidance from the artist

  • All planning and logistical coordination

  • Required local permits and painting licenses in ports and cities

  • Support staff and on-site coordination throughout the workshop

  • Access to designated painting areas, both onboard and ashore and more
