Yoga on The Road Through India with Ida Blazek

Ida invites you to join her on a journey of personal discovery of magical India, that will feed your mind, body and spirit.   

Ida will be scheduling private pre and post consultations to evaluate your needs, strengths and weaknesses in order to make sure you get the best experience from this trip. 

September 7th: Arrive Delhi

    Day 1: Delhi
    Arrival Delhi by flight. Our representative will meet you at Delhi airport. A warm welcome you in Indian traditional way by flower Garlanding & Tilaka (“mark”) in Hinduism, generally made on the forehead, indicating a person's sectarian affiliation. It can be put in many forms as a sign of blessing, greeting or auspiciousness. The Tilak is usually made out of a red vermilion paste (kumkum) which is a mixture of turmeric, alum, iodine, camphor, etc.  
    As in India we say “Atthi Devo Bhava” which means “The guest is equivalent to God'. Flower garlanding is generally offered as a mark of respect and honour. They are offered to welcome the visitors or in honour to the Gods and Goddesses. You will be transferred to hotel. Upon arrival check in at hotel. No meal on day 1.

    Day 2: Delhi

                  6.00 – 7.00 Meditative postures, postures for beginners

                 7.00 - 7.30 Using breath as a tool to relax

                 7:30 – 8.00 Sun Salutations (intro)

    After Meditation, continue with the next session named UNLOCK THE POWER WITHIN.  After the session, you will start New Delhi & Old Delhi tour. Our representative will be waiting at the hotel lobby who will explain the day program and will introduce to the guide for Delhi sightseeing. 
    Day Old Delhi - A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India.  
    You will enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk. More evidence of the ancient times that once existed in old Delhi can be found out by winding through the labyrinthine lanes of Chandni Chowk in a rickshaw. The pleasure associated with the rickshaw ride your itinerary here is ultimate. The rickshaw pullers here take you on a ride through various routes, offering you a different experience altogether. 
    New Delhi - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Bangla Sahib spiritual place for Sikh religious, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, and the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.  
    Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

    Day 3:  Delhi-Agra

              6.00 – 6.50 Sun Salutations

               6.50 – 7.15  Shavasana

               7.15 – 8.00 Postures for good digestion

     After meditation continue with the next session named UNLOCK THE POWER WITHIN.  Later proceed for breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, drive to Agra. Arrive Agra and transfer to local restaurant for lunch.  
    After lunch, visit Agra fort - the rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded Peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms.  

     After sightseeing you will have free to time do shopping at local markets in Agra or at your leisure.

    Day 4: Agra-Jaipur

                6.00 – 7.00 Kriyas (jala neti, kapalabhati)

                7.00 – 7.30 Postures for lower back

                7:30 – 8.00 Karma Yoga

    After breakfast at hotel, you will visit magnificent Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. 
    Later check out from hotel and drive to Jaipur-the fabled “pink city” of the desert named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe through the nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The palaces and forts of the yesteryears, which were witnesses to the royal processions and splendors, are now living monuments. 
    Enroute visiting Abhaneri which is Abhaneri which is on the way to Jaipur.   Abhaneri, a small-town village, near Agra. The place is popular for the amazing 'Baoris' (step wells) and Harshat Mata Temple.  
    Continue drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and check in to hotel.  
    Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

    Day 5: Jaipur

                 6.00 – 7.00 Breathing Techniques, Tratak

                7.00 – 7.45  Balancing postures

                7:45 – 8.00 Shavasana

    After breakfast you will proceed to an excursion to Chokhi Dhani.  
    Chokhi Dhani is a concept capturing the vibrant spirit of Rajasthan and ensuring a perfect Rajasthani experience.  Inbound and native tourists have a desire to experience the unique Rajasthani culture. The real Rajasthan, the villages, the paintings, Bani Thani art, the wall decorations, Dipak wall, the fresh air, the evening performances, the enthusiasm, the 'manuhar' (a delicate request to eat till your heart’s desire), the traditions, the costumes and at last but not least the Feelings. 
    JAL MAHAL - The Jal Mahal was declared as a protected area by the government after which the entry to this wondrous Jal Mahal place has been restricted. Earlier there were boat rides to around the palace. However, it still makes an amazing location for a romantic evening stroll. The pathway outside the Jal Mahal. Tourists are free to spend as much time as they like and click as many pictures as they want.  
    HAWA MAHAL - The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-story structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.  
    Rest of the day is free for shopping.

    Day 6: Jaipur Resort

                6.00 – 7.00 Hip openers

               7.00 – 8.00 Breathing techniques, Om chanting

    After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and will check in at an Ayurveda Resort in Jaipur. 
    Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.  
    Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner. 

    Day 7: Jaipur Resort

                6:00 – 7.00 Postures for upper back, neck and shoulders

                7:00 – 7:45 Flow for deep relaxation

                7:45 – 8.00 Shavasana

    Day is at leisure for independent activities - vehicle at disposal for local use only. 
    Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner. 

    Day 8: Jaipur-Delhi

               6.00 – 6.50 Yoga Nidra

                6:50 – 7.30 Mantra chanting

    After breakfast, drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.  
    Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

    Day 9: Departure Day

    After breakfast, transfer to airport to board your onward flight. 
    End of trip.
