
Day 1: December 27, 2026 - Arrive in Accra
Arrive at Kotoka Airport.
You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for a welcome briefing, drink and check- in.
Later in the evening we will have a welcome dinner, with delicious local flavors, soulful music, and wonderful company.

Day 2: December 28, 2026 - Accra sightseeing/Afrofuture Festival**



The big day awaits us! This morning, take a tour of the century-old capital of Ghana, Accra. Start the day with a visit to the DuBois Centre for Pan-African culture, a house where Dr. Dubois lived and died.
Then take a drive/walking tour of the colonial section of Accra (Jamestown). Drive through the main street of the colonial section of the city and view the Ussher and James Forts were built by the Dutch (1650) and British (1673) respectively and also the Light House which used to guide ships to the Accra Harbour in colonial days.
Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and museum, a monument dedicated to Ghana’s first post-independence President.
Visit the Independence Arch and then continue to visit Osu Christiansborg Castle.
The excitement builds as we enjoy our lunch prior to heading to Afrofuture.
The lineup has not yet been published, however, if it is half as good as the previous lineups, we are in for a real treat.
The El Wak Stadium in Accra will be buzzing and a hive of activity as we await our attendance Afrofuture festival. Time to party and enjoy the exceptional musical talent in Africa enjoy Ghana’s best artists from a wide range of music that includes Highlife, Hiplife, Ragga, and many more. Our best DJs from all over the country and continent will also be on hand to ensure we keep moving to the beat. A captivating experience in the heart of West Africa, we can also enjoy the many artists, fashion outlets, and traditional cuisine all around us during an epic day in Ghana’s capital. Our night is not over as the festival draws to a close as we are just starting, we can choose to head into Osu to continue our celebrations long into the night.
Depart Accra via the forest belt to Kumasi, the seat of the Ashanti Empire, which was built on a similar basis as the Dahomey Empire, i.e., through wars. Upon arrival visit the Cultural A center that features the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum and various studios of brass makers, potters, drum carvers, and batik makers. Then take a tour of the Ashanti craft villages to observe craftsmen at work and purchase souvenir gift items. These villages are Ahwiaa, where woodcarvers produce Ashanti stools, fertility dolls & walking sticks, etc. Ntonso, where Adinkra cloth is processed, and Bonwire, where kente cloth is woven. Kente, a very colorful fabric is usually worn on festive and very important occasions like marriage ceremonies, child naming, etc.
Day 4: December 30, 2026-Kumasi

Day 5: December 31, 2026- Cape Coast Castle, And Naming Ceremony
**ALL WHITE IS REQUIRED FOR THE NAMING CEREMONY**

Breakfast , then visit the Elmina Castle, the oldest European monument in Ghana built in 1482 by the Portuguese. First established as a trade settlement, the castle later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic Slave Trade. The Dutch seized the fort from the Portuguese in 1637 and took over all of the Portuguese Gold Coast in 1642. The slave trade continued under the Dutch until 1814. In 1871, the fort became a possession of the British Empire. Both the Elmina and Cape Coast Castles have been designated as UNESCO Heritage Sites. After this tour, take a short walk around the colorful fishing harbor to see the fish market and traditional dugout canoes the local people use for their livelihoods.
After lunch visits the Cape Coast Castle, and take a tour of the infamous slave dungeons, built-in 1653 by the Swedes and later taken over by the Britishers. This castle also houses the West African Historical Museum.
The guide will take us through the governor’s quarters, condemned cells, and the ‘Door of Return. We will also have a traditional naming ceremony at a village.
Day 6: January 01, 2027- Kakum National Park - Accra

This morning drives further north of Cape Coast to the Kakum National Park a tropical rainforest in the heart of the Attandaso reserve for an adventurous and breathes taking walk on the ‘Canopy Walkway. It is composed of 350 meters of the suspended bridge and six platforms at a height of 60 meters (100ft).
We take a return trip back to Accra.

Day 7: January 02, 2027-Free day/Evening departure
Spend the day at leisure, packing, or doing your last-minute shopping for a late evening departure from Accra back home.

All visitors to Ghana must be in possession of a valid passport or legal travel documents.

All travelers above nine (9) months coming into or transiting through Ghana are required to have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever*
