Rainbow Getaways is going to Egypt!
Join Rainbow Getaways on an incredible adult-only journey across Egypt and Jordan in October 2024. We'll explore ancient wonders, marvel at colossal structures, and have a memorable Nile Cruise.
Travel to Egypt and Jordan is at the top of many bucket lists, and while the two countries present additional hurdles for the LGBTQ+ community, Rainbow Getaways has partnered with renowned Egypt and Beyond to create an itinerary that will allow us to feel confident and comfortable to enjoy and explore our destination.
Between October 9th and 19th, 2024, this small group bucket list vacation will take us across Egypt to probe ancient history. During our 11-night journey, we will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, Alexandria, cruise the Nile, Abu Simbel, and many others. We will stay in hotels that are welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community, and as a group, we'll visit sites dating over 4,000 years.
After our time in Egypt, you'll have the option to continue on to Jordan for an extended tour to Petra and the Dead Sea in Jordan between October 19 and 22nd, 2024.

Itinerary:
- October 09, 2024: Arrive in Cairo, Egypt and transfer to our hotel
- October 10, 2024: Private guided tour to visit the Giza Pyramids and the legendary Sphinx (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
- October 11, 2024: Private guided tours of Saqqara, the Citadel, Mosque of Mohammed Ali, and explore the Khan El Khalili Bazaar (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
- October 12, 2024: Transfer to Alexandria and partake in private guided tours of Pompey's Pillar, Catacomb of Kom El Shukafa, the Royal Jewelry Museum, and Qait Bey Fort (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
- October 13, 2024: Private guided tour of the New Biblioteca Alexandrina (Breakfast Included)
- October 14, 2024: Private guided tours of Luxor and Karnak Temples; after the tours, we'll embark on our four-night Nile River Cruise (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included)
- October 15, 2024: Private guided tours of the Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Optional Early Morning Hot Air Balloon over Luxor. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included)
- October 16, 2024: Private guided tours of Edfu, the Temple of Horus, Kom Ombo, and the Temple of Sobek (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included)
- October 17, 2024: Private guided tours of High Dam and the Temple of Philae, and enjoy a Felucca Ride around the Elephantine Islands (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included)
- October 18, 2024: Private guided tour of Abu Simbel and transfer to Cairo (Breakfast Included)
- October 19, 2024: Depart for home or Optional Jordan Extention - Transfer to Ammand (Breakfast Included)
- October 20, 2024: Optional Jordan Extention - Private tours to visit the lost Nabteans city of Petra, SIQ, and hundreds of ancient temples, royal tombs, Roman theaters, and houses. After the tour, transfer to the Dead Sea (Breakfast Included)
- October 21, 2024: Optional Jordan Extention - Free day to enjoy a swim and relax at the Dead Sea (Breakfast Included)
- October 22, 2024: Optional Jordan Extention - Depart for home (Breakfast Included)

- Meet and greet assistance upon arrival and departure
- All entrance fees for sights mentioned in the itinerary
- 21 meals (10 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 4 dinners)

- Domestic air between Cairo/Luxor and Aswan/Cairo
- Roundtrip land transfer between Cairo and Alexandria

- Meet and greet assistance upon arrival and departure
- Local English-speaking guide in Petra
- All entrance fees for sights mentioned in the itinerary
- Breakfast each morning in Jordan
- Transfers and sightseeing in late-model air-conditioned vehicle

Traveling to Egypt and Jordan requires a passport valid for at least six months after returning home and an approved Visa for each country.
