Welcome to Ghana 2024!

 
Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. It spans the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, sharing borders with the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, and Togo in the east.  Join us in 2024 for a visit to this magnificent Country full of history and culture.  Be prepared for a trip that you will never forget!  We will get the chance to Stand at the “door of no return” in Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site where thousands of captive slaves passed through on their journeys to the Americas.  We will experience the traditional naming ceremony where we will shed our "given" names for blessed names from our ancestors.  We will walk the rope bridges in the canopy of Kakum National Park and party on a rooftop terrace at an ACCRA Nightclub.     All resort accommodations, private ground transportation, breakfasts and tours are included in this package.  You will be responsible for obtaining your airline tickets from your destination to Kotoka International Airport.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1 (ACCRA) 
    When you walk out of the airport in Accra, you will be greeted with a smile by our Tour Guide, who will escort you to a comfortable beachside hotel (Labadi Beach Resort : Click here for video of resort https://youtu.be/9v6iRO1RrFA).  Dependent on your arrival time, you may have time for our Welcome Dinner; your first traditional Ghanaian meal to prepare you for the days ahead.
 

 

  • Day 2 ( Eastern Region Tour) 

    After breakfast this morning you will get to experience :

    Aburi Botanical Gardens
    We will take an hour drive to Asemena waterfalls.  Asenema Waterfall is one of the hidden gems in the rainforest of the Akuapem Hills, outside of Accra, and north of Aburi.  We will return to ACCRA to spend the night. 
 
 
  • Day 3 (ACCRA) 
  • After breakfast this morning you will get to experience :  
         *W.E.B Du Bois center
          *Art center(Drumming and African dance)
          *Visit the Jamestown ( The oldest part of Accra)
          *Independence square
          *Nightlife experience ( Live band)  We are asking the Group to wear a version of Purple to represent "Royalty".
 
 
  • Day 4 (KUMASI) 
  • After breakfast this morning, we will begin our journey to Kumasi which is a 5 hour drive.  There will be a rest stop on the way.

        *Visit Yaa Asantewaa Shrine upon arrival 
        *Continue to Manhyia Palace

  • Day 5 (Kumasi) 
  • *Enjoy our breakfast, wear all white in the morning.
    *Visit Bonwire Kente Village ( learn how to weave the original kente cloth and the history behind it)
    *Continue to Adanwomase for our Traditional Naming Ceremony ( All white). Donations can be made to the chiefs ( Optional)
    *Visit Ntonso Adinkra Village ( learn about the Adinkra symbols and it’s meaning)
    *Have a lunch break 
    *End our day at Okomfo Ankoye Sword Site( Mystery about a sword planted over 350 years now) 
    *Go back to our hotel.
 
  • Day 6 (Cape Coast)
  • *Leave early morning at 8am for the drive from Kumasi to Cape Coast
    *Our first stop takes 3hours drive, Assin Manso Slave River and market.
    *End our day at Cape Coast Slave dungeons ( Door of No Return)

  • Day 7 (Cape Coast) 
  • Enjoy breakfast and have a relaxing day morning.
    *Visit Kakum National Park ( Hiking and Canopy walk) 
    *Stay-over in Cape coast 
    *Bonfire night( isn’t confirmed yet)
 
 
  • Day 8 (Cape Coast) 
 
  • Today is departure day!  Then you will say your goodbyes to our Ghana team and fly off with new memories.
    Fly out to USA depending on the time.

Cancellation policy:

If your plans change, your right to a refund is limited and subject to each specific Vendors cancellation policy.   You must submit in writing to cancel your reservation.  Allow a minimum of 30 Business days for processing for refunds if it is determined that any are due to you and they will be returned to the payment method used at the time of the booking.  To avoid cancellation penalties, you should consider purchasing one of the optional travel protection plans. Without travel protection, if you must cancel your reservation, make any changes to departure date, or reduce the number in the party, you will be assessed a $50 per person cancellation penalty plus any applicable airline, hotel or other supplier charges. Hotel cancellation polices are established by the hotel. Please note that there are no refunds for cancellations made 7 days or less prior to departure for air-inclusive vacations or less than 48 hours prior to departure for hotel only vacations. Most air carriers consider a name change to be a cancellation; to avoid penalties for name changes, full and complete names are required at time of booking.

Travel Insurance which covers the tour package.  Coverage includes trip cancellation due to covered reasons (Not just because you change your mind), trip interruption, travel delay, baggage coverage, emergency transportation, emergency medical coverage.  Plan charge includes costs of insurance benefits and assistance services. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, your plan excludes losses due to that condition unless you qualify for a waiver under the terms of your plan.  Claim must be filed with the insurance company for possible reimbursement.
