For centuries spiritual seekers have gone on walking, “sauntering”, pilgrimages for all kinds of reasons. To walk on holy ground, to seek the holy, to know themselves and their companions better. On this pilgrimage guided by The Rev. Karla Woggon we will primarily be walking along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in Wales. After flying from your home where the pilgrimage will begin we will meet in London and travel to Stonehenge to ground ourselves and prepare to walk as a group. We will walk around 50 miles along the Pembrokeshire path sometimes in silence, sometimes in conversation and have time each day for group & individual reflection, meditation, and sacred ritual. We will be walking 8 to 11 miles a day and staying in bed and breakfast type lodges. Our luggage will be transported for us. The group is limited to 9 people. One single room available.

 Itinerary
  • Friday, September 15th: Depart the US
  • Saturday, September 16th: Meet at London's Heathrow Airport. Travel from Airport to Cardiff in a luxury mini coach. Stop at Stonehenge. Overnight at Leonardo Cardiff hotel (or similar)

    • NOTE: Stonehenge is perhaps the world’s most famous prehistoric monument. It was built in several stages: the first monument was an early henge monument, built about 5,000 years ago, and the unique stone circle was erected in the late Neolithic period about 2500 BC.  
  • Sunday, September 17th: Morning walking tour of Cardiff 
    • Cardiff is a city proud of its culture, history and language which has undergone a fascinating journey over the last 2000 years. Cardiff’s rich culture has a diverse range of influences, from the Romans and Normans of antiquity to the industrial revolution and the coal industry 
    • Afternoon train/taxi transfer to St. David's, the start of our walk. Pembrokeshire coastal Path is a spectacular 186 mile long National Trail covering some of the most varied coastal scenery in Britain, stretching from St Dogmaels in the north to Amroth in the south. We will walk the middle section, about 50 miles 
    • 2 night stay at St David’s Cross Hotel 
  •  Monday, September 18th: Walk St Justinian's to Solva 10.7 mls
  • Tuesday, September 19th: Walk Solva to Broad Haven 11.1 mls 
    • 1 night stay at Anchor Guest House 
  • Wednesday, September 20th: Walk Broad Haven to Musselwick Sands 8.5 mls 
    • 2 night stay at Foxdale Guest House &/or the Clock House
  • Thursday, September 21st: Walk Musselwick Sands to St Ann's Head 8.8 mls 
  • Friday, September 22nd:  Walk St Ann's Head to Sandy Haven 9.3 mls (+ 2.9 miles if high tide at Dale )
    • 1 night stay at Ty Waterfront 
  • Saturday, September 23rd: Depart Milford Haven - private transfer to Salisbury, with a stop at Avebury
    • NOTE: Avebury henge and stone circles are one of the greatest marvels of prehistoric Britain. Built and much altered during the Neolithic period, roughly between 2850 BC and 2200 BC, the henge survives as a huge circular bank and ditch, encircling an area that includes part of Avebury village. Within the henge is the largest stone circle in Britain - originally of about 100 stones - which in turn encloses two smaller stone circles. 
    • 1 night stay at Sarum College, Salisbury Cathedral Close (or similar)
  • Sunday, September 24th: Private transfer from Salisbury to London Heathrow Airport to meet departing flights.
    • NOTE: Flights should not depart before 11:30am.

She is an avid backpacker & sea kayaker and served as a spiritual guide for Pilgrimages in the mountains of NC, the Rocky Mountains, the Camino de Santiago, Jerusalem, and France.

Cancellation policy:

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and the following cancellation charges on the balance will apply if Participants cancel holidays:

More than 50 days’ notice = deposit only

  • 51 - 43 days’ notice = 25%
  • 42 - 29 days’ notice = 50%
  • 28 days’ notice or less = 100%

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. These cancellations charges will be implemented in all cases. We also reserve the right to deduct from any refund due: provider cancellation charges incurred to Celtic Trails, card/bank charges and Walk Pack/postage costs incurred.
