Day 1: Friday

Arrive to our accommodation and get settled in. After we’ve freshened up, we will head out to dinner.

Day 2: Saturday

Wake up to relaxing breakfast before we head out to our tasting at Early Mountain Vineyards. Early Mountain Vineyards was a finalist Wine Enthusiast’s annual Best American Winery Awards in 2018. Tasting is $10.  

Next, we’ll take a drive to Barboursville Vineyards. Decide on whether you want to participate in Barboursville’s free tasting option, or if you want to experience their older vintages tasting which includes small food pairing for $20. The most popular and famous award-winning wine at Barboursville Vineyards is their Octagon wine. It is comprised of a beautiful blend of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. After the tasting we will explore the vineyards historic grounds filled with picturesque ruins that include Thomas Jefferson-designed manor house.

Our final tasting will be at Horton Vineyards where we will taste “old world” Virginia wines. According to the Washingtonian, “Horton is responsible for introducing many for the grape varieties that now grow in Virginia from the obscure Rkatsiteli to the ubiquitous Viognier.” Their tasting is $6. 

After we finish with our tasting for the day we will head to Michie Tavern for short self-guided tour and southern food that would’ve been served 200 years ago.

Day 3: Sunday

Sleep in a bit after our previous day of indulgence. Verita Vineyards and Winery will be our first tasting of the day. Vertia's guided exploration of their wines encompasses their current releases. From young, crisp white wines to aged, full-bodied reds you will definitely find something you will enjoy. Tastings will include 6-10 wines and are $10 per person.

Next, we will journey to Pippin Hill Farm. Known for their farm to table dining experience and the best views of the Monticello Wine Travel, and of course their award-winning wines. Enjoying sipping their signature Sauvignon Blancs, crisp Blanc de Blancs, barrel fermented Chardonnays, Cabernet Francs and other varietals. Tasting Fee is $10 per person.

Our final tasting will be at Blenheim Vineyards, designed and owned by musician Dave Matthews. With two vineyard sites growing Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the goal at Blenheim is to make high quality wines that reflect the climate, soil, and beauty of the surrounding piedmont landscape. Tastings are $5 per person.

After having our fill of this weekend tasting and touring, we will make the journey back home.

• Monthly Payments: After your initial deposit we will set up a Monthly Payment plan of equal amounts due on the 1st of each month through the full pay date. You may full pay your account at anytime.

Located in the center of Charlottesville, adjacent to the historic downtown Pedestrian Mall, the Omni Charlottesville Hotel blends the area’s unique history with modern luxury. Relax in their seven-story glassed in atrium lobby or unwind in your room featuring a host of amenities designed to make your visit unforgettable.

The hotel provides amenities that includes a casual American restaurant and bar. There's also a heated indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor pool and a gym. Breakfast is available.

All payments to Be Relaxed Destinations/Wine Lovers Group are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Be Relaxed Destinations/Wine Lovers Group has contractual agreements with hotels and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices competitive and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.

Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Therefore, we recommend Travel Protection that helps provide coverage for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Delay, Medical Expenses and more.

Prices are subject to change without notice. Please make your reservations today at this price to be locked in.

If you decide to make monthly payments, then you must make the payment on time to keep your reservations current. Your invoice will clearly note your payment plan. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Unexpected circumstances can occur. A sudden health emergency for you or an immediate family member before or during your trip could spoil your vacation. Trip Insurance is therefore highly recommended.
