Rooted: A Winter Sanctuary is a sacred retreat for Black women to honor the quiet end of the year. Held at the luxurious, Black-owned Mansion at Noble Lane, this experience invites you to exhale, reflect, and return to your center. While the world races toward New Year’s resolutions, we will gather in stillness to rest deeply, reconnect with ourselves, and listen for what’s next.
Winter is not the start of something new; it is the pause before the emergence.
Let this be your time to remember what matters, release what no longer fits, and root yourself in clarity, care, and ancestral wisdom.
What was once an exclusive estate is now your personal escape in Pennsylvania’s Poconos Lake Region. The Mansion at Noble Lane is just a two-hour drive from New York City and a few minutes more from Philadelphia, but worlds away from stressful living.

Built as a Gilded Age Grand Dame for founders of the F.W. Woolworth Company, the opulent mansion on 22 lush acres is now a boutique bed and breakfast resort hotel where relaxation, rejuvenation and reconnecting with self, your mate or friends and family comes first. Enjoy a spa vacation, a romantic rendezvous or a girlfriends’ getaway. Or plan a corporate retreat, family reunion or wedding of a lifetime.
At The Mansion at Noble Lane, the possibilities are endless — just like our scenic views.

7:30 PM – Celebratory Welcome Dinner: Midwinter Elegance
On our first evening together, we gather in celebration; honoring the journey that brought each woman to this sanctuary. The dining room glows with golden candlelight, jewel-toned linens, and lush winter greenery. Soft music fills the air as champagne flutes are raised, marking the beginning of a weekend devoted to rest, reflection, and renewal.
A refined multi-course meal awaits, inspired by the richness of the season: roasted winter vegetables, decadent entrées, and desserts that linger like sweet memories. Between courses, we share a simple ritual: each guest offers one word for how she longs to feel during the retreat, placing it at her setting as a quiet reminder of her intention.
This night is both an arrival and a celebration; a moment to shed the weight of the year, step fully into the present, and toast to the beauty of sisterhood in winter’s embrace.

On our final night, we gather not to say goodbye, but to seal the warmth, wisdom, and connection we’ve cultivated. The tables are dressed in soft, neutral tones: cream linens, woven textures, and dried winter florals, evoking the quiet beauty of the season. A gentle glow from candles and twinkling lights creates a cocoon of peace, while the scent of comforting, gourmet dishes drifts through the air.
We share a soul-nourishing menu; each bite grounding us in gratitude. As the evening unfolds, we circle together for one last ritual: each woman speaks a single truth she’s carrying forward into the new year. In return, she receives a small token, a reminder of the sanctuary she carries within.
This night is a blessing for the road ahead, a gentle return to the world, and a promise to keep tending the roots we’ve grown together.
