Itinerary:

Day To Day Itinerary - This itinerary is for reference and planning purposes only. Although we will strive to ensure that your final day-to-day activities are as closely aligned to those laid out herein, the final itinerary is subject to availability and other factors which may limit or prohibit certain excursions or activities at the time of travel.

  • DAY 1 - Bus + assistance Transfers included. Lunch & Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Hotel Mayorazgo or similar | Meals: L/D
  • DAY 2 - Breakfast in the hotel. Half-day morning city tour of Madrid: Royal Palace ( 4 hrs ) Sightseeing + Royal Palace Private guided city tour On this part panoramic and part walking tour we will see some of the most emblematic sites in Madrid panoramically and we will visit the old part of the town known as Madrid of the Habsburgs (the Dynasty from the XV to XVIII century), where Madrid became the capital of a huge Empire. We will see the charming corner of the downtown area seeing places such as the Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa and more… We will also have a guided visit inside the Royal Palace, rebuilt in XVIIIth century, which is the former Royal residence which today remains in use for important official ceremonies Overnight in Hotel Mayorazgo or similar | Meals: B/ L/ D
  • DAY 3 - Breakfast in the hotel. Half-day morning city tour of Toledo: Cathedral, St. Tomé and Sta María la Blanca ( 5 hrs ) AM guided city tour Toledo, the former capital of Spain and the main Royal Residence in the middle ages is known as the City of Three Cultures, as here during the XIII century Muslims, Jews and Christians lived peacefully together and created a flourishing and great cultural and monumental center. We will enjoy walking along its narrow streets where history can be felt in the air. On the guided visit we will visit inside the Cathedral and St Tome Church (where El Greco famous masterpiece “The Burial of the Count Orgaz” is to be seen plus the Synagogue Sta Maria la Blanca.   • DAY 4 - Breakfast in the hotel. Full-day tour of Avila: Cathedral & Sta Teresa // Segovia: Cathedral & Alcazar ( 8 hrs ) – Lunch in a local restaurant.  AVILA is the capital of Castile-Leon and is a truly unique city. The remarkably preserved twelfth-century medieval wall that surrounds the city is a marvelous site both up close and from a distance as one approaches the city. We will walk the principal parts of the historical center and visit the Cathedral, which is integrated into the city wall that formed part of the city`s defensive fortifications- We will also visit the Church of St Teresa, Santa Teresa was a nun that was canonized in 1622 by Pope Gregory XV and see many other architectural and historical treasures. SEGOVIA The city of Segovia has rightly considered one of the most beautiful in the world owing to its architecture and configuration. The city enjoys a privileged location, 1000 meters above sea level in a green belt formed by the Eresma and Clamores Rivers. Famed for its emblematic Roman Aqueduct, Segovia is an inspiring place to visit. On our guided walking tour during which we will walk the central historic areas we will visit inside the splendid Cathedral, the last Gothic temple built in Spain and visit the nearby Alcazar (a twelfth-century royal place that was once a one of the favorite residences for several Castilian kings in the middle ages, undoubtedly partially owing to its spectacular location on a hill overlooking the river and surroundings.   • DAY 5 - Breakfast in the hotel. Cooking class with lunch included: On the last day before departure, we will have a special gastronomic experience with a market visit and cooking class. We will have a guided visit to a central food market in Madrid where we will purchase the fresh ingredients that will be prepared for lunch today. We will have a private hands-on cooking class with a personable and experienced Spanish chef (NB: English speaking assistance included as the chef will likely be English and Spanish speaking). Lunch will be made up of the dishes that he and you will prepare. Overnight in Hotel Mayorazgo or similar | Meals: B/ L/ D
  • DAY 6 - Following breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport at the appropriate time depending on your flight.
