Cape Town is one of South Africa's three capital cities, serving as the seat of the Parliament of South Africa. It is the legislative capital of the country, the oldest city in the country, and the second largest (after the city Johannesburg). Colloquially named the Mother City, it is the largest city of the Western Cape province, and is managed by the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. The other two capitals are Pretoria, the executive capital, located in Gauteng, where the Presidency is based, and Bloemfontein, the judicial capital in the Free State, where the Supreme Court of Appeal is located.

Cape Town City Tour
No visit to Cape Town is complete without a half-day tour of this incredible city. After departing the hotel, you'll head for Table Mountain, enjoying the crisp air and clear visibility as you drive to the summit, weather permitting. Your guide will point out the highlights of one of the world's most famous views. The tour continues on, through the "Bo Kaap", also known as the Malay quarter. The architecture in this area is typical of what Cape Town was like 200 years ago. The drive continues past the President's official residence and the houses of parliament before going to signal hill to see the firing of the noon gun. The tour then will continue on a diamond tour to learn the history and master craftsman of these sparkling gems before returning you back to your hotel.
Cape Peninsula Tour
Enjoy this full day along the cape and coast. Depart the hotel and travel to Hout Bay. Once a fishing community, this town is now one of the most popular residential areas, with its harbor still having the charm of days gone by. Here you'll have a chance to join a half hour cruise to Seal Island or, for the not so adventurous, you can stroll along the fish market at "Mariners Wharf." The tour now continues over the famous Chapman's Peak drive (if open) with a 200-yard drop on one side of the coach and a 200-yard rise on the other. Next stop is Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, where Sir Francis Drake the Explorer once called it "the fairest Cape that he saw in the whole circumference of the Globe". Later, you'll pass the naval base of Simonstown, as the tour continues along the Indian Ocean, en route to see the Jackass penguin colony that has become well established at Boulders beach near Simonstown. The last stop of the day is at the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, home of some 3,500 species of Southern African fauna and flora.
Winelands Tour
Enjoy a full day exploring and experiencing the wines of South Africa. The first stop this morning is at Nelsons Creek Estate (an alternative estate used on Sundays). After a tour through their cellars, a chance to sample some of their local wines as well as a cheese tasting is available. A brief city tour of Paarl follows, before you make your way to Franschhoek with a photo stop at the Groot Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela was released in Feb 1990. This little village nestled amongst the mountains, can easily be mistaken as being in Switzerland. After a short tour of the little town, a second wine tasting will be done in Franschhoek followed by a lunch stop and perhaps the opportunity to try some of the fresh trout that Franschhoek is known for. After lunch the tour continues through to Stellenbosch. It is easy to understand why Simon van der Stel decided to settle a village amongst the mountains. The backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, the white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads, and the oak-lined streets and lanes all blend in to give this place a charm that will not be quickly forgotten. Time permitting, a third tour with wine tasting will be included, before your return to Cape Town.
