Terms & Conditions

The Travel Curio and is excited to help you with your travel. The following terms & conditions (the "Agreement") describe what you can expect from us. The terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to The Travel Curio and the term "you" refers to the individual/group who signs this agreement.

DEPOSIT: A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit, per person per Tour is due to the Travel Curio on behalf of The Experience Dubai 2027 tour. If the booking is made 60 days or less prior to departure, full payment is due at the time of booking.

REFUNDS: Deposits and the Travel Curio's group service fees, if applicable, are non-refundable. Because of contractual agreements with suppliers, refunds are not available for this tour. Thus it is highly recommended you purchase travel insurance

PAYMENTS: The Travel Curio is pleased to offer monthly payments as an option. Upon confirmation of your booking, a payment schedule will be sent to you. You are required to keep your reservations current per the invoicing schedule. Life happens – if for any reason you are unable to make the payment, please email us at info@thetravelcurio.com to discuss options. All late payment requests must be approved by management. Any reservation exceeding 60 days without payment is considered in cancellation status. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.

If after cancellation you would like to reinstate the booking, you will need to pay a reinstatement fee of $150 plus submit any past due amounts within 24 hours of the request. Note: reinstatement contingent upon tour and accommodation availability.  Additional fees may apply and will be communicated to you prior to invoicing the fee.

PRICES:  All prices listed are per person based upon shared twin/double room occupancy unless otherwise clearly specified. Single occupancy, when available, are stated in the quote. Prices do not include items of a personal nature such as laundry, water, beverages, food (other than at all-inclusive resorts or where clearly specified), passport and visa fees, insurance, and foreign port taxes unless specifically indicated in the package inclusions. Prices are correct at the time of quote; however, as classes of service may have limited capacity, tour package prices and availability will change accordingly. In case of human or computer error, The Travel Curio reserves the right to re-invoice for the correct price or service. A full refund, minus suppliers’ conditions, will be made to passengers who choose not to pay an increase, provided The Travel Curio receives a written cancellation within five days of the price increase notification.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS: Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents and MUST CHECK with the respective consulate(s) or visa agency to determine whether any visas or passports are required. Passports are required to be valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. Some countries require a full blank “VISA” page in the passport for stamping purposes. Any information provided on travel description pertains to US citizens only. Non-US citizens should check with the respective consulate of the country(s) to be visited for current entry requirements. We strongly suggest all cruise passengers to have a valid passport in their possession while cruising. Travelers are responsible for providing their name as it appears on their passport (or other government issued ID when traveling in the US only), date of birth, and gender. Any change in name will result in a $150 administrative fee plus supplier(s) fees.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:  Provided full payment is received no later than your Final Payment Due date, travel documents and travel instructions will be sent via email and/or mail 30 days or earlier prior to travel. If paper documents are requested when e-documents are available, documents will be delivered via USPS approximately 14-21 days prior, and a fee of $40 will apply. A complete street address is required (no PO boxes). Travelers must ensure that names are correctly listed.

CHILDREN: The age limit for this trip is 21.

TRAVELERS NEEDING ASSISTANCE

In order to fully enjoy your The Travel Curio tour and The Cousins’ Trip, we recommend that you select a trip suitable to your physical capabilities. Tour participants requiring any form of assistance, including travelers with physical disabilities, sight, hearing or mobility impairments, are required to notify The Travel Curio prior to booking a tour. The Travel Curio will review the tour requirements with you to determine the level of assistance you may need and to ensure that the trip you have selected is suitable for you. Please be aware that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside of US borders. Any participant requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and fully responsible for providing the assistance. The Travel Curio, tour managers, guides, drivers or other tour, hotel, transfers or ship personnel are not able to provide individual services such as assisting with walking, pushing a wheelchair or helping with getting off and on motor coaches, cruise ships and other vehicles. In order to participate in escorted tours, passengers must be able to understand and follow instructions given by the Tour Director at all times, both for the successful operation of the tour and as well as for their own personal safety and the safety of other participants. The Travel Curio reserves the right to reject participation or remove any individual from a tour in the event that notification was not provided and/or when, in our sole judgment, continued participation would significantly hinder the services to be provided to all guests. Expenses, including cancellation fees and/or costs for alternate travel plans or to return home, will be the responsibility of the passenger. All unused services are non-refundable. Tours are fast paced, often requiring lengthy walks, including over uneven terrain. In the interests of group harmony, clients should be able to maintain the pace of the tour. Clients with special needs may be better served independently. The Travel Curio may be able to suggest touring options based upon specific requirements or alternative vacations/tours.

TOURS WITHIN THE USA: Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (the ADA), The Travel Curio seeks to accommodate disabled travelers to the extent possible and consistent with the specific tour itinerary. However, you may find that certain tour features may not be accessible to the extent that you require a wheelchair, scooter, or other special equipment to participate. We cannot provide individual assistance to travelers with wheelchairs or other mobility devices. We regret that some itineraries cannot accommodate wheelchairs or motorized scooters. Passengers are required to advise The Travel Curio of their accessibility requirements prior to booking in order for The Travel Curio to thoughtfully access and determine if reasonable accommodations are available. The Travel Curio will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of our tour participants but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor responsible for any denial of services by hotels, air carriers, transportation companies, restaurant, sightseeing companies or other independent contractors.

WHEELCHAIRS & WALKERS: It many instances, the ability to use a wheelchair or walker may be limited. Please consult with the Travel Curio prior to booking.

INTERNATIONAL TOURS: Hotels, transportation providers, sea and river cruises outside of the United States are not required to comply with ADA requirements and therefore may not have ramps, wide entryways or elevators/lifts to accommodate disabled passengers or devices such as wheelchairs, walkers and motorized scooters. Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs, walkers and motorized scooters may not be taken aboard motor coaches, river cruises or other forms of transportation.

SERVICE ANIMALS: Service animals cannot be accommodated on international escorted tours. Passengers on USA escorted tours who require a service dog because of a disability should check with The Travel Curio prior to booking a tour. In addition, pets in general are not allowed on tours. The Travel Curio may be able to provide resources for pet-friendly travel.
