1. Is this trip only for pickleball players? 

No. This experience is designed for travelers who enjoy active experiences, great food, beautiful scenery, and time on the water. Floating pickleball will be available on select days. Water toys will also be available for those who do not wish to participate in pickleball.

2. When is my deposit charged?

Payment and profile information is collected to select your cabin of choice, and your credit card will be charged after we coordinate with the charter company.

Deposits are non refundable and travel protection is recommended.

A travel protection option is available at time of deposit, but you are welcome to purchase your own plan.

3. Can I book solo?

Cabins are priced and reserved based on double occupancy. Solo travelers are welcome; however, the single occupancy rate is the same as the double occupancy rate.

4. Are beverages included?

Water and regular coffee are included for all guests throughout the charter.

Drink packages are optional and must be confirmed by final payment. Drink packages are priced per person and outlined in the booking section.

Guests who do not purchase a beverage package may purchase drinks individually onboard à la carte.

À la carte beverage purchases are charged by cabin and settled onboard at the end of the charter. Payment may be made by credit card or cash (euros).

5. What does a typical day look like?

Every day in Croatia feels a little different, but most days follow a relaxed rhythm. Enjoy breakfast onboard while cruising to the next island, stop for swimming or water activities in secluded coves, then head ashore to explore historic towns, local culture, and curated experiences. Floating pickleball will be available on select days depending on conditions and the itinerary.

Meals are a combination of onboard dining and local experiences ashore. Some dinners are included and are outlined within the itinerary, while other evenings allow free time to enjoy Croatia’s incredible local restaurants at your own pace.

There is plenty of flexibility to stay active or simply slow down and enjoy the Adriatic at your own pace.

6. Do I have to participate in all included excursions and activities?

Not at all. While the included experiences are planned for the group as a whole and help create the overall flow of the itinerary, participation is always optional.

If a particular activity is not your style, you are welcome to enjoy free time and explore independently. For example, if the group is doing an e bike experience, you may prefer to relax onboard, swim in the Adriatic, hike, explore the destination on your own, or simply enjoy a slower pace.

Please note that included group experiences are not refundable if unused, but our goal is for everyone to enjoy Croatia in a way that feels right for them.

7. How is a private yacht charter different than a cruise?

Think of this as the opposite of a traditional cruise experience.

With only 30 guests onboard and a crew of 11 to 12, a private yacht charter offers a more personal, relaxed, and immersive way to experience Croatia. Instead of large ports, crowds, and rigid schedules, you’ll enjoy smaller harbors, swim stops in secluded coves, and more time connecting with the destination and each other.

Days are designed around the group experience and may include island exploration, curated excursions, onboard relaxation, swimming, floating pickleball on select days, and dinners ashore. There is also flexibility to enjoy downtime or explore independently.

One question we often receive is about seasickness. While everyone experiences the water differently, the Adriatic Sea is generally known for being calmer than many larger oceans. In addition, this yacht stays relatively close to shore and frequently docks in protected areas and islands, which often creates a smoother experience than traditional open ocean cruising.

It feels less like being on a cruise ship and more like traveling through Croatia with a private group of friends.

8. What is premium docking and why is this important to our yacht charter?

Premium docking is one of the biggest advantages of this style of travel and something that makes a private yacht charter feel very different from a traditional cruise.

Instead of docking in large commercial ports outside the city or tendering long distances ashore, premium docking allows our yacht to secure preferred locations closer to the heart of many destinations whenever available.

That means more time enjoying Croatia and less time getting there. Step off the yacht and walk directly into historic towns, waterfront promenades, restaurants, cafés, and evening activities without lengthy transfers.

It also creates a more relaxed experience overall. You can easily return to the yacht throughout the day, enjoy sunset views from onboard, and experience destinations in the early morning or evening after larger crowds have dispersed.

This is one of those details guests often don’t think about beforehand but consistently mention afterward as one of their favorite parts of the experience.

9. What’s Included?

Your Croatia Yacht & Coastal Adventure has been thoughtfully designed so that many of the major trip expenses and experiences are already included.

Included in your charter experience:

• Airport arrival transfer from Dubrovnik Airport to the pre cruise hotel
• One pre cruise hotel night in Dubrovnik
• Transfer from hotel in Dubrovnik to your yacht
• 8 nights aboard the private chartered luxury yacht, M/S Aretha
• Departure transfer to Split Airport on disembarkation day
• Daily breakfast onboard
• Lunches onboard as outlined in the itinerary
• Select included dinners as outlined in the itinerary
• Coffee, tea, and water onboard
• Premium docking locations throughout the itinerary
• Daily swim stops and use of onboard water toys (weather and conditions permitting)
• Floating pickleball experiences on select days (weather and itinerary permitting)
• Included excursions and sightseeing experiences as outlined in the itinerary
• Services of your onboard captain, crew, and Cruise Manager
• Daily cabin housekeeping

• VAT and fuel (based on normal operating conditions)

10. What other expenses should I plan for?

Your yacht charter includes many of the major trip expenses and experiences, but there are a few additional costs to plan for.

Potential additional expenses may include:

• Airfare into Dubrovnik and home from Split

• Optional drink packages or beverages purchased à la carte onboard

• Some dinners and meals not listed as included in the itinerary

• Crew and Cruise Manager gratuities (Suggested gratuities: EUR 300 per person for crew, EUR 75 per person for cruise manager)

• Personal purchases and souvenirs

Drink package information, pricing, and onboard massage offerings will be provided prior to final payment so you can decide what, if anything, you would like to add.

Most guests find that once in Croatia, daily spending is very manageable since accommodations, yacht transportation between islands, many meals, and included experiences are already taken care of.
