Insurance is based on 13% of the trip cost total and will cover preexisting medical conditions if purchased within 21 days from the time of deposit. Travel Guard insurance can still be added to the reservation up until 90 days prior to the start of their purchased services with AmaWaterways but will not cover preexisting medical conditions. For an additional $80 per person on top of the standard travel protection guests can purchase our cancel for any reason insurance. This can only be done at the time of their cruise deposit. This is also known as our Travel Waiver Plus and is only available with AmaWaterways. This must be added with the Travel Guard insurance and cannot be purchased separately. The AmaWaterways Travel Waiver Plus allows them to cancel for any reason up to 31 days prior to their schedule purchased services and would receive a future cruise credit in the amount of their penalty. This credit would be attached to their client profile with AmaWaterways and good for 2 years from the date of cancellation towards a future cruise.
