Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Akwaaba! Welcome to Accra (December 26th, 2023)

    • Akwaaba! You’re finally here! We’ll whisk you away from Kotaka International Airport (ACC) after your arrival into the city and take you to your accommodations, Fiesta Residence. After you get settled into your new digs, we’ll introduce you to the rest of your tour guides for the week. As a group, we’ll all head to our welcome dinner and kick off our new journey together.

 
  • Day 2: Time to Explore the Real Accra (December 27th, 2023) 

    • The best way to get to know a destination is by gaining a bit of its history. Today, we’ll be taking you on a tour that gives you a deep dive into Accra’s roots. We’ll immediately immerse ourselves in the local culture by trekking through the city to visit historical landmarks, sampling traditional foods, learning about the people and getting our first taste of Ghanaian hospitality, visiting the world-famous Makola market, getting some custom-made clothes from a local tailor, and stopping at Independence Square to take in the amazing view.

 
  • Day 3: Afrofuture Turn Uppppp or Free Day (December 28th, 2023)

    • Enjoy the greatness that is the Afrofuture Festival where creativity, music, and Africa's diverse culture combine for an epic day or if Afrofuture is not your jam, enjoy a free day to rest at the hotel or jump into your own adventure 

      • Afrofuture ticket NOT included 

  • Day 4: Cape Coast Day Trip (December 29th 2023)

    • Enjoying the coastal scenery traveling from Accra to Cape Coast. Tour the Cape Coast Slave Castle, a traditional naming ceremony to welcome you back home, and an oceanside lunch

 
  • Day 5: Cooking Class (December 30th 2023) 

    • Enjoy a real Ghanaian home cooking experience with a private cooking lesson with local Chef Sam. At the end of the class, you will get to sit down and enjoy the meal you have prepared! On the menu is red red & jollof rice.  

  • Day 6: NYE in Accra (December 31st 2023)

    • Enjoy a morning of leisure and prepare yourself for an evening of greatness to bring in 2024 how you see fit - whether that's relaxing on the beach, partying it up at a club, or experiencing a delightful dinner.

        • Dinner & club entry is NOT included in the pricing

  • Day 7: New Year's Day Vibe at Labadi Beach (January 1st, 2024)
    • Happy New Year! Whenever you decide to get up, enjoy yourself with the locals at Labadi Beach with beach parties, food, and all the good vibes to start your 2024 off right.
  • Day 8: Wli Waterfalls/Goodbye Dinner or Free Day (January 2nd, 2024)
    • Last but not least, time to visit the Volta region to take in the Wli Waterfalls. Although this is a 4.5-hour drive with a 40-minute hike, TRUST US, it'll be worth it! After we arrive back in Accra we will enjoy a goodbye dinner to wrap up this epic trip. If the Wli Waterfall doesn't sound appealing, you can opt-out and enjoy your time in Accra doing whatever. 
  • Day 9: Time to Go Home (January 3rd, 2024)
    • And that's a wrap! Time to say goodbye for now! Breakfast and check out of the hotel. Transfer to Kokota International Airport in Accra and head home.
 

Awuni Tour Terms and Conditions:

 
Guest/Traveler Postponements or Cancellation:
In the event that circumstances require you to postpone or cancel your trip, written notification must be promptly sent to the travel agent, upon receipt of such notice, Awuni Tours will use its best efforts to mitigate the costs and other impacts of the postponement or cancellation.
 
In the event you elect to postpone the travel, Awuni Tours will retain all funds theretofore received from you and will credit these funds, less the amount of costs incurred by Awuni Tours as a consequence of the postponement, in a replacement tour arranged by the travel agent with Awuni Tours, so long as the replacement tour commences within three months of the scheduled starting date of the postponed tour. If the postponed trip will not commence within three months, Awuni Tours will consider the trip canceled and process it according to the paragraph below.
If you elect to cancel your travel, Awuni Tours will within ten days of notification return all funds theretofore received from you, less 1) a cancellation fee of no more than 8.5% of the quoted tour fare for the costs incurred by Awuni Tours in preparing for your trip, plus 2) any costs incurred as a consequence of its cancellation, such as hotel deposits. If there are non-returned funds, and itemized list of the non-returned funds will be provided within the same time period. Delay in giving notice of the trip postponement or cancellation will diminish the ability of Awuni Tours to mitigate the resultant costs.
 
Liability
Neither Awuni Tours nor any person or agent acting for, through or on behalf of Awuni Tours shall, in the absence of its or their recklessness, gross negligence, or intentially harmful acts, be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from any cause whatsoever and, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, shall specifically not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in its brochure or other literature, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, theft, injury or death.
 
Photography
All photographs taken using Awuni Tours photographic or video equipment is copyrighted property of Awuni Tours and may be posted on our website or used in advertising. You have full rights to use any photo that you request from your tour, but Awuni Tours retains the copyright. 
Age Limits
The minimum age limit for tours is between 3 and 15 years old, depending on the tour. If age is misrepresented, Awuni Tours reserves the right to terminate the tour without compensation. The maximum age is 78 years in good health.
Travel Insurance
Awuni Tours highly recommends guests/travelers obtain travel insurance for their own protection and that of their dependents/traveling companions for the duration of their trip to Africa. Travel insurance is solely the responsibility of the guests/travelers and should include adequate comprehensive travel and medical insurance including, but not limited to, coverage for the following possibilities: cancellation and curtailment of the tour, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, accident, llness, reparation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods to cover themselves, as well as anyone in their party

We are sublimeXcursions and are excited to help you with your travel. The following terms & conditions (the "Agreement") describe what you can expect from us. The terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to sublimeXcursions and the term "you" refers to the individual who signs this agreement.

The addressee of this notice will be the only recipient of this agreement.  It is the sole responsibility of the addressee to inform all other parties traveling of the contents of this agreement.  By signing this agreement, you the booking passenger acknowledges that you are advised of, reviewed, and hereby accept these terms and conditions and agreement for travel related services.

Payment schedules are set forth by individual suppliers and are due on the date specified.  Failure to pay on time can result in automatic cancellation and can lead to the forfeiture of prior payments.  Failure to remit deposits, monthly and balance due payments in a timely basis will automatically put your booking at risk of cancellation.  Please contact us in advance of your payment due date if you will be unable to meet your obligation.  Without  limitation, passenger(s) voluntarily hold sublimeXcursions LLC harmless for cancellation of any booking for either late payment or declination of credit card,  All major credit cards are accepted unless otherwise noted by suppliers.

Revisions, cancellations and refund policies vary by supplier.  Supplier cancellation fees can be up to 100%  of the trip cost.  No-shows are nonrefundable.  Refund restrictions and policies for unused travel or vacation components vary and are subject to applicable rules for each supplier.  Insurance premiums, airfare and some supplier fees are nonrefundable.  Please inquire about supplier refund policies at the time of booking.  Other restrictions may apply.  Travel insurance should be purchased which will cover cancel for covered reasons as outlined in the insurance policy.  Insurance policies vary with differing exclusions (such as pre-existing medical conditions, work related issues, etc.).

 
sublimeXcursions LLC charges a $100 cancellation fee. This fee is payable at the time of the cancellation request and the vacation will not be canceled until the fee is paid.
