In Her Footsteps: Legacy Bus Trip

In Her Footsteps is more than a day trip. It is a commemorative birthday journey honoring what would have been Martha Mainor’s 101st birthday and celebrating a tradition of fellowship, community, and giving that she helped create.

Martha enjoyed traveling to Ohio’s Amish Country and visiting many of the places and communities that made these trips special. These outings were about more than shopping and good food. They created opportunities for people to spend time together, build relationships, enjoy fellowship, and support fundraising connected to the November Fellowship at Shiloh Baptist Church.

On November 21, we will retrace that tradition with a full day in Ohio’s Amish Country, enjoying some of the foods, markets, shops, and experiences that made these trips memorable.

Why This Trip

This trip is being created to honor Martha Mainor not simply by remembering her, but by continuing something she valued.

In Her Footsteps will also mark the beginning of a legacy fundraising trip in Martha Mainor’s name connected to fellowship efforts at Shiloh Baptist Church. The goal is for her legacy of bringing people together to continue through future trips that combine fellowship, memories, community, and giving.

Trip Price: $85 per person
Departure Location: 5500 Scovill Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44104

Please arrive by 6:00 AM for check-in and boarding.

Boarding should be completed by 6:20 AM.

The motorcoach will depart promptly at 6:30 AM.

Estimated Return: Approximately 6:30 PM

Return time is approximate and may vary depending on traffic, weather, group movement, and the amount of time spent at each stop.

• Lunch at Der Dutchman of Walnut Creek
• Coblentz Chocolate Company
• Walnut Creek Marketplace / Flea Market

The itinerary and order of stops may be adjusted when necessary to accommodate timing, traffic, operating hours, or other circumstances.

Your $85 trip price includes:

• Round-trip motorcoach transportation from Cleveland to Ohio Amish Country
• Transportation between scheduled itinerary stops
• Lunch at Der Dutchman of Walnut Creek
• Scheduled visit to Heini’s Cheese Chalet
• To-Go Cheese tasting experience
• Visits to all scheduled Amish Country stops
• A full day of fellowship, shopping, food, memories, and Ohio Amish Country experiences

What’s Not Included

The trip price does not include:

• Personal shopping purchases
• Purchases at Sugar Valley Meats
• Purchases at Heini’s Cheese Chalet beyond the included allowance
• Purchases at Hillcrest Orchard
• Purchases at Coblentz Chocolate Company
• Purchases at Walnut Creek Marketplace
• Additional food, snacks, beverages, desserts, or specialty items outside of the included lunch
• Any optional purchases or personal expenses incurred during the trip

Guests should bring their preferred form of payment for personal purchases.

Pricing & Payment Schedule

The total trip price is $85 per person.

A $30 deposit is due no later than September 21, 2026.

The deposit is applied toward your total trip balance.

The remaining balance is due October 19, 2026.

Your reservation is not considered complete until the required payment has been submitted through TravelJoy.

Because transportation, meals, and other trip arrangements must be confirmed in advance, please pay close attention to all payment deadlines.

Cancellation, Refund & Transfer Policy

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Due to advance commitments for motorcoach transportation, meals, reservations, group arrangements, and other trip-related expenses, all payments made for the In Her Footsteps Legacy Bus Trip are nonrefundable and nontransferable to another Ventures Away Travel trip or future travel credit.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations, illness, schedule conflicts, late arrival, failure to appear, missed transportation, voluntary departure from the trip, or unused portions of the itinerary.

Transferring Your Seat

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your seat to another person rather than forfeiting it.

The original registered traveler is responsible for:

Locating the replacement traveler.
Making any private financial arrangements with that individual.
Providing Ventures Away Travel with the replacement traveler's full name and required contact information.
Ensuring the replacement traveler receives all trip information and agrees to these terms and conditions.

Ventures Away Travel does not facilitate, guarantee, collect, reimburse, or resolve payments between individuals involved in a private seat transfer. Any payment dispute between the original traveler and replacement traveler is solely between those parties.

A seat transfer is not considered complete until Ventures Away Travel has received and acknowledged the replacement traveler's information.

Transfer requests should be submitted as early as possible and may be subject to any deadlines required by the motorcoach company, restaurant, or other suppliers.
