Sample 5-Day Itinerary

Here’s a sample 5-day itinerary for staying at RIU Palace Baja California in Los Cabos:

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

    •    Morning/Afternoon:
    •    Arrive at RIU Palace Baja California. Check-in and take time to explore the hotel’s all-inclusive amenities.
    •    Enjoy lunch at one of the hotel’s buffet restaurants.
    •    Afternoon:
    •    Relax at the infinity pool, sip a cocktail from the swim-up bar, and take in the stunning views of the ocean.
    •    Evening:
    •    Have a casual dinner at the Italian restaurant (Sofía).
    •    Attend the live entertainment at the hotel’s theater or stroll along the beach.

Day 2: Exploring Cabo San Lucas

    •    Morning:
    •    Take a water taxi or boat tour to El Arco, the famous rock formation at Land’s End.
    •    Stop by Lover’s Beach for some sunbathing and snorkeling.
    •    Afternoon:
    •    Head to Medano Beach for lunch and enjoy water activities like jet skiing or paddleboarding.
    •    Walk around the Marina Cabo San Lucas, where you can shop and take in the lively atmosphere.

Day 3: Adventure and Exploration

    •    Go on an ATV or off-road tour through the desert and along the coastline of Los Cabos. Alternatively, enjoy a camel safari.
    •    Afternoon:
    •    Return to the resort for a relaxing afternoon by the pool or at the beach.
    •    Opt for a light lunch at the poolside snack bar.
    •    Evening:
    •    Pamper yourself with a visit to the Renova Spa for a massage or facial.
    •    Dress up for a fancier dinner at the Krystal fusion restaurant.
    •    End the evening by visiting the hotel’s casino or watching live shows.

Day 4: Day Trip to San José del Cabo

    •    Morning:
    •    Visit the charming town of San José del Cabo. Explore the Art District and see the Mission San José del   Cabo.
    •    Afternoon:
    •    Have lunch at a local Mexican restaurant in San José del Cabo, then explore the local shops and galleries.
    •    Visit the Wirikuta Botanical Cactus Garden or check out a local tequila tasting.
    •    Evening:
    •    Return to the resort for dinner at the Mexican restaurant (Guacamole).
    •    Take a sunset walk along the beach.

Day 5: Relaxation and Departure

    •    Morning:
    •    Start your final day with breakfast on the terrace.
    •    Relax by the pool or take a morning swim at the beach.
    •    Afternoon:
    •    Do some last-minute shopping or souvenir hunting in the hotel’s stores.
    •    Pack up and check out before your departure.

Cancellation policy:

Vacation Protection Plan Plus [VPP+] with Pre-Departure Waiver

Pre-Departure Waiver and the following service are provided by Vacation Express and are not insurance benefits.

You can cancel your vacation for any reason and receive a refund in your original form of payment. VPP+ must be added to your booking within 7 days of deposit date or by final payment due date, whichever occurs first. Once purchased, your plan cost is non-refundable.

Cancellations:
You can cancel for any reason a minimum of 2 hours prior to original scheduled departure time as indicated in your travel documents or no later than 9AM local time the day of arrival for hotel-only bookings. When you purchase the VPP+, you will receive a refund for the full package price in the original form of payment less the VPP+ plan cost [does not include change fees or reduced deposit plan fees].

Change Fee Waiver:
A one-time change fee, per person will be waived prior to final payment due date. This applies only to Vacation Express change fees per our Terms and Conditions Contract. This does not include airline change fees where applicable. No changes can be made to bookings with non-refundable hotel rates. Re-issuing of airline tickets or hotel deviations while in-destination will incur a $75 per person change fee.
