 Cancellation policy:
Carnival's cancellation policy has 4 stages. Certain factors will determine what stage comes into effect. The stages are as follows: 
 
Stage 1: If cancelled within 60 days prior to sail date there will be a penalty of the deposit amount. 
Stage 2: If cancelled within 45 days prior to sail date there will be a penalty of 50% of the total cruise fare.
Stage 3: If cancelled within 29 days prior to sail date there will be a penalty of 75% of the total cruise fare. 
Stage 4: If cancelled within 14 days prior to sail date there will be a penalty of 100% of the total cruise fare. 
Any optional charges (airfare, transportation, or packages) will be penalized based on what stage the booking was cancelled in.
Taxes, fees and port expenses, pre-paid gratuities are always refunded back to guest.
Cancellations are different for the Early Saver promotions. This promotion comes with a non-refundable deposit, and no name changes. Due to these restrictions if a cancellation occurs before final payment date then the non refundable deposit will be given as a FCC (Future Cruise Credit) minus $25 per person . The FCC must be used within 24 months of cancellation.
Name changes CANNOT be made after the penalty stage begins or after the final payment date. If a name change is requested before these times there MUST be an original guest still booked in the cabin, if there is not an original guest still booked then the cabin MUST be cancelled and rebooked at the prevailing rates at time of rebooking. If a name change is requested a penalty will apply.
