Relax onboard the Carnival Sunshine, participate in daily fitness classes, enjoy spa treatments, or explore the beaches & rich cultural history of Freeport, Nassau & Bimini, Bahamas. 

Your well-deserved retreat begins long before departure. Enhance your health and wellness by taking advantage of the Energy Angel Wellness Experience. Adult travelers are eligible for a comprehensive Nutrition Assessment, a personalized nutrition plan, and one(1) month of nutrition and fitness coaching (app is included). Get to know your coaches & fellow travelers by utilizing a private vacation app. Before departure, the app will serve as digital access to the itinerary, an information hub, and a place to connect.

Fitness classes are included with your package but aren’t required.  If you need to fully escape during the retreat, simply relax in your room, explore the ship, get a spa treatment, and skip the fitness classes. This retreat is designed to enhance your overall health and wellness.

Itinerary:

Day 1:

Arrive at Norfolk, VA’s Port to board the Carnival Sunshine- which departs at 5:00 p.m.

Get settled, explore the ship & enjoy an Energy Angel welcome reception.

Day 2:

Fun Day at Sea.  It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment, food, and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.  We’ll start the retreat day with an early morning session of Ab Attack & Tai Chi.

Day 3:

Freeport 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Work up a sweat with HIIT & Sculpt and Kickboxing on the ultimate white-sand beach of Freeport. The crystalline-water daydream comes to life. The action is sizzling in Freeport, the resort center of Grand Bahama Island. You’ll find plenty of razzle-dazzle entertainment, from a casino to music clubs to barefoot beach bars. If that’s the Bahamas you’ve come for, great! But if you’re looking for the Bahamas with the seductive, palm-fringed beaches, gentle turquoise seas, and nature at its most vivid… Freeport has that, too.

Day 4: 

Nassau 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Sightseeing, swimming, and soaking up the island flavor!   Boasting balmy breezes and jumping to a bouncy calypso beat, Nassau promises sizzling fun in the sun. The historic and cultural heart of The Bahamas is one of the world’s most popular cruise destinations — one million travelers board cruises to Nassau every year. Carnival guests come for fine beaches, shopping, water sports, and fun-filled attractions at the Atlantis Resort, connected to Nassau by a bridge to Paradise Island. Throw in a chance to swim with dolphins or do a little slipping and sliding at a water park, and it's clear what makes Nassau a top spot for cruisers of all ages. 

Day 5: 

Bimini 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Soak up some sun & dance on the beach!  Join the Energy Angel crew for an upbeat dance fitness party.  Start your day by dancing with music from around the world.  The best reggaeton, salsa, merengue, cumbia, afro-beats, urban, and more.  After a bit of dance fitness, slow things down with Tai Chi.  Are there words more fun to say than “I’m cruising to Bimini!”? The name rolls off the tongue delightfully, for sure… but the whole phrase means you’re in for a beautiful, uniquely chill time in this island chain. The center of the action is Alice Town, though “action” is relative when it comes to these westernmost islands of The Bahamas. The local aesthetics, however, will take your breath away — and fishing, diving, and relaxing on a beach are a few of the choice activities for experiencing the naturally azure waters surrounding Bimini, which are great to enjoy from a distance or up close! 

Day 6:

Fun Day at Sea

After all the delicious food you’ve enjoyed by now, you’ll appreciate our Ab Attack class.  No port visit today! It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.  Don’t forget to pack something white for our epic Energy Angel Wellness Retreat Farewell White Party onboard the ship for our final night!

Day 7:

Arrive in Norfolk at 8:00 a.m.
