Cruise Group Terms and Conditions

·       This trip requires a valid passport to travel. Passports must have legal names, and expire no sooner than six AFTER the day that you return to the United States. For this particular trip, passports must expire after January 13, 2023. This trip involves an international flight that will require a full day of travel BEFORE THE CRUISE DEPARTS. Please be prepared to depart June 4, 2022 to arrive in Venice for your June 5, 2022 departure.

·       The final payment date for the trip is January 10, 2022. All balances must be paid by this date per Crayton World Travel Policy!

·       Refunds of subsequent payments after the initial deposit is made will result in cancellation of the cabin. Once a payment towards the trip is applied it is considered final! 

·       -All Cancellations will forfeit $50 of the $150 initial deposit. This includes cancellations that occur before the final payment and penalty dates, as well as cancellations related to the Covid 19 pandemic.

·       Any cancellation made after the final payment date on Jan 10, 2022 is in penalty. The traveler will forfeit the full deposit and an additional percentage of the total cruise fare. The amount of the penalty will be determined by the date of cancellation. Please see the chart below to see what the cancellation penalty is for the corresponding date of cancellation. If the cabin cancels before the penalty date, you will receive a full refund minus $50 of all payments made. Any cancellations made after you are in 100% penalty will have to be reimbursed via travel protection. Travel protection may not cover the cost of the $50 deposit retained by Crayton World Travel. Travel protection is non refundable. 

·       All cancellations and changes must be submitted in writing via email. No cancellations will be processed over phone or text message.

·    Crayton World Travel accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and discover payments. All payments must be made through the secured payment link in the invoice. Credit card payments are not allowed to be made over the phone. At this time Crayton World Travel does not accept zelle, cash app or bank transfers as payment for the trip as it is not a secure way to accept payment. This  policy is implemented to protects both the traveler as well as Crayton World Travel. Please do not screenshot or text pictures of your credit card to our cellphones or via email, as this is not secure. If another form of payment is required, they will be assessed on a case by case basis. All payments require a signature either electronically or via faxed credit card authorization.

·       All travelers must sign the waiver form before the deposit can be accepted! No exceptions!

·       All cancellations and changes must be submitted in writing via email or fax. No cancellations will be processed over phone or text message.

·       Changes to the trip including, but not limited to; name corrections, cabin occupancy, cabin mate or roommate changes, departure city deviations, departure or return dates, changes to hotel or cruise may require an admin fee and or cancellation of the cabin. In the event of such changes, there is a possibility that the cabin must be cancelled and rebooked under the rate, terms and conditions of the time of rebooking. Promotions, rates, availability and booked under the original reservation may not be available to new reservation. Travelers will be required to pay all fees, rate increases and fare changes necessary to make the change. Changes made after final payment date may result in cruise cancellation and/or loss of fare paid to the original reservation. Please communicate all changes as soon as possible to minimize fees and losses.

·       Pricing is based on double occupancy. All guest sharing a cabin are responsible for the full amount of the cabin. If one person cancels, that will affect the entire cabin. All promotions including the buy one get one free airfare, free at sea promotions will apply to the first two guest of the cabin only. If you are interested in traveling with a third or fourth guest, rates will have to be determined at the time of inquiry. Full deposit is required for all additional guests at the time of booking. Rates and availability can fluctuate until the reservation is deposited. Third and fourth guest may not have access to promotions. Adding a third or fourth guest to the cabin may result in loss of promotional items for the entire cabin! Double occupancy is recommended.

·       Single Cruisers are required to pay for the full cabin (based on double occupancy rate) minus some port fees, gratuities and port expenses. Promotional airfare will not apply to single cabin cruisers

·       Cruise line itinerary (including port of departure) is subject to change at the discretion of Norwegian Cruise Lines. Reasons can include, but are not limited to weather, force majeure, law changes in a country, terrorism, and rate of infection due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Compensation for such changes will be at the discretion of Norwegian Cruise Lines, not Crayton World Travel or cruise host.

·       Crayton World Travel is an intermediary between the vendor (Norwegian Cruise Lines) and the traveler. We have no ownership or investment in the the ship, airlines, transfer or excursion suppliers we do not assume liability for damages, changes, quality of service, or cancellations of any of the above.

·       All flights booked through Norwegian Cruise Lines will remain unassigned and un-ticketed until 45 days before cruise departure. Norwegian Cruise Lines will assign flights at their own discretion. Crayton World has no control over the assigned airline, layover duration and location, seats, and travel companionship. If you are very selective about your flights, it is highly suggested that you book your own flight. Change requests made after flights are assigned may result in fees, penalties or cancellations. Upgrades to ticket class, and seating may result in additional fees, and or cancellations.

·       Crayton World Travel assumes no responsibility to violations to cruise or airline code of conduct. If violations to codes of conduct or laws are committed, knowingly or unknowingly the violator is subject to arrest and/or removal from the aircraft, and/or ship and associated activities as well as banishment from future travels with the cruise line and/or aircraft carrier. Removal from the aircraft and/or ship due to violations to the law or code of conduct will result in the traveler being responsible for their own transportation home at their own expense. In the event of such violations no refunds will be offered for remaining or un travelled portions of the trip. Norwegian Cruise Lines, the aircraft provider and Crayton World Travel will not provide refunds, or legal expenses to traveler in the event of such violations. Most travel protection plans offer no assistance to those who violate laws or codes of conduct. Violations can include but are not limited to; fighting, arguing, foul or perverse language, public intoxication, drug purchase or use, littering, trespassing, theft, inappropriate attire, spitting, public restroom use, under age alcohol consumption, in-appropriate swimming or diving, weapon posessession, vandalism, and insubordination to international personnel. Please govern yourself accordingly! *Please note that laws and penalties may vary according to the country*

Important Things to Know Regarding this Cruise

·       All “Free at Sea” selections (open bar, specialty dining, wifi, and $50 shore excursion credits) are promotional items that may include or exclude certain menu items, spirited brands, bottles of wine or champagne. Certain websites including many popular social media and streaming sites may not be usable under wifi conditions. Shore excursion credits may exclude certain activities. Items that are not included in the promotion will result in charges to the traveler’s bill at the end of the cruise. Please be sure that the food and beverages consumed is covered under the promotion before you order it, or accept willingness to pay for it. Please note, that Norwegian will not compensate or refund wifi purchases in the event of poor service.

·       Alcohol, souvenirs and items purchased abroad may require declaration and taxes to be paid on them upon return to the United States. Please note, that alcohol purchased during port stops are usually held until the end of the cruise and returned to you upon disembarkation and is usually not permitted to on board. Norwegian may allow a small amount of beer or wine to be brought on board with you during initial embarkation. Bottles of wine that are not sold at restaurants (even if purchased on board) and are consumed at restaurants may require a “corking fee”. Please make sure that you are aware of such fees before consuming the alcohol at the table.

·       Norwegian Cruise Lines usually prohibits food not sold or given on the ship. This may include leftovers from a restaurant that you visited while at the port, snacks, souvenirs, packaged goods, wedding and celebration cakes and bottled water. Items may be confiscated and thrown away without compensation. This is at the sole discretion of the cruise line personnel and security.

·       Most rooms do not contain refrigerators. If travelers require medication that must be refrigerated, they are usually stored by Norwegian Cruise Lines in their medical facility. Please communicate such needs to Crayton World Travel and Norwegian Cruise Lines before bringing it on board.

·       Crayton World Travel will indicate allergies and dietary restrictions to Norwegian Cruise Lines upon notification, however please be vigilant to reiterate such restrictions to waitstaff, and or chef before ordering and consuming them. Crayton World Travel will not assume liability for items that are consumed that may be hazardous to your health.

·       In the event of an extreme fuel surcharge, Norwegian has the right to increase the fare of the cruise. Travelers will be responsible for this fare increase. Fuel sur charges are rare, but can occur with a very short warning. Please be prepared to incur such an expense.

Cancellation Penalty Schedule

January 10-February 9, 2022- will result in a 25% cruise penalty of total fare, plus additional $50 of the deposit.

February 10- March 9, 2022 will result in a 50% cruise penalty of total fare, plus additional $50 of the deposit.

March 10- April 4, 2022 - will result in $75% cruise penalty of total cruise fare, plus additional $50 of the deposit.

Any cancellations made after April 4,  2022 will result in the cruise being in 100%  penalty and no refunds will be issued. 

Again NO REFUNDS will be issued after April 4, 2022!

Refunds and penalties include the deposit, cruise fare, airfare, taxes, gratuities, and promotional fees.

Are flights included in the rate?

Promotional International airfare is included for a limited amount of cabins that are booked and deposited before November 13, 2020. The airfare is a promotion provided by Norwegian out of certain US cities. Some cities include, New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Seattle, and Los Angeles. If you do not see your departing city listed on this list, please reach out to Crayton World travel to discuss availability as well as rates. After Norwegian's Air Promotion is expired, airfare will be available to book through Norwegian at an increased rate. You may also  opt to purchase your own flights. Please reach out to Crayton World Travel if you need assistance with flight purchases, please reach out to us. If your cabin was not purchased during the air travel promo, it does not include air.

What airport should I book my flights to?

Flights should be booked into Venice, Italy. The airport is called Venice Marco Polo (Aeroporto di Venezia Marco Polo) often abbreviated as VCE. The commute from the airport to the cruise port can take up to 1.5 hrs by public transportation and up to 45mins by car.

How do I get from the Airport to the cruise port?

Round trip transfers are available and included in the current cruise rate. Roundtrip transfers included transportation from the airport to the cruise port and vice versa.  If you are arriving the day of the cruise we recommend using  the transfer service that Norwegian Cruise Lines  offers as it is one of the lowest costing options available. 

Can I book a transfer through Norwegian if I am booking a pre  or post cruise hotel stay?

Yes you can, as long as you are booking your hotel stay through Norwegian Cruise Lines. If you are booking your hotel stay on your own, then transfers to the cruise ports from your self booked hotel are not available. You are permitted to book a one way transfer from the airport to the cruise port or from the cruise port to the airport.

If you are booking a pre night hotel stay through Norwegian cruise night,  the transfer will include a transfer from the hotel to the cruise port and then a transfer from the cruise port to the airport. If you are booking a pre night hotel stay, you will be responsible for getting from the airport to the hotel. 

If you are booking a post hotel stay through Norwegian Cruise lines transportation will be provided from the airport to the cruise port and then from the cruise port to the hotel. You will be responsible for booking your own transportation from the hotel to the airport.

What time do I need to be on the ship?

You are allowed to board up to 2 hours before sailing. You will need to be on the ship no later than 3pm. The ship departs at 5pm.

The average temperature is from 62 degrees to 75 degrees with minimal transportation. We recommend packing light water proof jacket, and a pair of closed toe walking shoes for cooler days.

Why do you recommend travel protection?

Travel is an investment and travel protection does just that. Most travel protection plans will provide trip cancellation as well as medical coverage. All plans vary. Please reach out to Crayton World directly if you are interested in additional coverage.

Why is the travel protection rate different for everyone including those in the same cabin?

Travel protection is based on the total cost of the trip PER PERSON. The difference in the rate is directly related to the air promotion. The current air promotion that Norwegian is sponsoring is buy one get one free and the airfare is attached to guest 1. While you may choose to split the cost of the airfare equally amongst everyone in the cabin, if one person cancels, the other person has to pay the full amount for the airfare, So for example. If the airfare is $800 for the cabin, the two occupants may choose to split the cost of the airfare amongst themselves at  $400 per person. However, if one person cancels, the airfare will still remain $800 for the cabin. Therefore guest 1's cruise fare is going to $800 more than what guest 2's airfare will be making the insurance cost more for person one, than person two. If you opt to purchase your travel protection through Norwegian Cruise Line, they will be reimbursing you based on the amount of the cruise fare of the assigned guest. So if you are guest number 2, even if you have decided to split the cost evenly Norwegian's travel protection policy will only compensate you for the rate of the cruise, minus the airfare. To eliminate this you may opt to purchase outside travel protection on your own. You may also replace the canceled roommate and work out a side arrangement where the new roommate gives you the cost of the airfare directly. Crayton World Travel will not be involved or collect any payments that are not being applied to the trip directly. 

What if I want to go but don't have a roommate?

You have two options, either sail by yourself and pay the single premium or inquire within to see if we have someone in a similar situation who would be willing to pair with you. The second option is not guaranteed, however we have several single cruisers who are currently looking for a roommate. 

What identification documents will I need for this cruise?

You will need a valid passport to sail. The passport must expire no sooner than 6 months after the travel is completed. Passports for this cruise should expire after January 13, 2023.

Can you explain the gratuity and service fee system?

Norwegian cruise lines implements a mandatory service fee policy for the staff of the ship. The gratuities are included in the cost of the cruise in the cart. While we do not recommend removing them, you do have the option to remove them and pay them on board at the conclusion of the cruise. If you want to remove them, please reach out to Crayton World Travel directly via email.

If you are opting to select the beverage and/or dining option with the “free at sea promotion” there are additional gratuities associated with those amenities. Those gratuities must be paid before you board the ship.  The cost is included in the total rate of the cruise.

Can I assign my cabin?

Cabin assignment is not available at this time, however we do our very best to chose the best of the selection. This includes choosing port side cabins with unobstructed views when available.

Can I add more time to my vacation at the beginning or end of the cruise?

Yes. We will be happy to arrange a pre or post cruise stay in places not limited to Venice. Please reach out to us directly after your cruise is booked. Pre and post night availability booked through Norwegian will become available 6-9 months before the cruise departs. Pre or post night hotel stays not booked through Norwegian will be available up to one year prior to sail.

If I book pre or post hotel stays, can I still use the promotional airfare through Norwegian?

Yes, a long as those pre or post night stays are in Venice. Norwegian allows airfare to accommodate up to two pre or post nights. You can book two pre nights and two post nights totaling a total of 4 nights if wish.  You do not have to book your hotel stay through Norwegian (provided that you are landing and departing from Venice) to use the promotional airfare for pre or post nights. Just keep in mind that transfers will not be provided to or from those hotels to the cruise port or airport.

How do the “free at sea promotions work"?

The free at sea promotions are a series of amenities offered by Norwegian. The amenities include:

Open Bar- spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, non alcoholic beverages. There are some restrictions on bottles of wine, certain specialty cocktails, and certain premium spirits.

Specialty Dining- There are some specialty restaurants on board that are not included with the regular dining package and have additional costs. The specialty dining amenity allows you to enjoy up to TWO dinners in any of the specialty restaurants on board at no additional cost.

Wifi- 250 minutes per cabin

Shore Excursion Credit- $50 credit per port, per cabin

If you are selecting an ocean view cabin, you can select two options. If you have a balcony you get all four options. The specialty dining and open bar amenities have additional gratuities associated with them. Please review the options in the cart.

The included meet-up is not mandatory, however there is no price difference if you choose not to attend. The "All white meet up" is a themed event where all white attire is requested but not mandatory. However, there may be a photo shoot and for certain pictures (not all) only those in the themed attire will be allowed to be in certain photos. All White means majority white attire, you may accent and accessorize your clothing with other coordinating colors.

What if I want a cabin with more than 2 people?

Cabins rates listed are based on double occupancy. Any cabins that require more than 2 people must be booked at the current ship rate. Please reach out to us directly for more information. Cabins that are more than double occupancy will have specialty dining and “open bar” amenities for the first two guest listed on the reservation. An additional fee will be applied for third and fourth guests for the open bar package. The specialty dining amenity is NOT available for the third and fourth guest. Pricing at specialty restaurants usually starts at $40 additional per meal. Although the promotion does not apply to third and fourth guests, you are permitted to eat together at these restaurants.

What if my cabinmate cancels after final payment?

If one cruiser cancels after final payment, and the other cruiser wants go, the remaining cruiser will have to find a cabin mate who is willing to pay the full amount plus and change fees to continue the sail. If the remaining cruise chooses to cruise solo, they will be responsible for the additional cost of the cruise. Crayton World Travel will do their best to try to find you a roommate ask another cabin if they would be willing to take a third guest. 

Are children allowed on this cruise?

The cruise is family friendly, however the "All White" Meet Up on board is for guests 21 and over only!

What is the legal drinking age for Europe?

The legal drinking age in most European countries is 18. Some countries allow 16 year old children to consume alcohol, other countries have NO legal drinking age. It is not uncommon for young children to be seen consuming wine in Italy or Spain while dining alone or with their parents. However, Norwegian cruise lines will only allow the "open bar free at sea promotion" to be applied to guests 21 and over. If a person over 18 is traveling with their PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN, and the parent wishes to allow their minor child to consume alcohol while on board, the parent will have to sign a waiver for the minor, and the minor will only be allowed to purchase beer or wine by the glass while on board. It is important for parents to be informed that the restrictive drinking policy is only effective  while ON BOARD the Norwegian Ship. Norwegian does not have any control over alcohol sales while dining in restaurants while the ship is docked, and the minor can legally purchase and consume alcohol while they visiting the cities and ports. 

Why is $50 of my deposit non refundable if I cancel before final payment date even due to Covid?

This fee is implemented for two reasons. One, to allow the on board cocktail meet up to take place. If the group falls below the capacity for the cocktail event, the price per person increases. It is unfair for those who chose to stick with the cruise to ask them to pay more money and/or cancel the event. $25 of the non refundable deposit will go towards the amenities of the cocktail party. The other $25 will be kept as an administrative fee to Crayton World Travel as time and effort was put in to booking, servicing and canceling the trip.

Does Crayton World Travel service other trips besides this cruise and other cruises for future travel endeavors?

Yes we do. Crayton World Travel is a full service travel agency that is experienced and reliable for all booking needs including individual travelers as well as groups. We appreciate all referrals. We even offer a $25 referral to you if you refer a traveling passenger (provided that they are booking air and land for at least 3 nights) and $50 for all groups over 10 people. (referrals gifts are paid after the traveler has departed for their trip) Referral gifts are only for new clients on new bookings, and the person making the referral cannot be attending the trip!
