Travel Insurance

Alabote can be found on pontoon K at the ‘Pêro de Teive’ Marina in Ponta Delgada, Island of S. Miguel, Azores – 37º 74´952” N 025º 65´210” W. The boat usually leaves the marina at 8:30 AM in accordance with clients. Yet, departure times may also be advised to change due to the bite of the fish to improve even more our chances of catching fish.
Charter reservations will be confirmed on the receipt, by email of the signed contract and after the receipt of a 40%, minimum deposit for all of the charter days. The remaining balance of the charter fee will be due on the first day of charter.
Fishing tackle, lunch, snacks, and drinks (water, beer, wine and soft drinks) are supplied on board and are included in the daily charter fee. For half day charters, lunch is not provided. In any case, please let us know if you have any food allergies.
Max. persons advised on board: 4 fishermens plus 2 observers. Prices are for the entire boat, not per person.
In accordance with local legislation and with regard to ‘personal accident’, responsibility for clients / guest aboard the charter vessel “Alabote” is guaranteed by an insurance policy with the Insurance company “MÚTUA de SEGUROS CRL”.
What to wear
Light clothing as shorts and t-shirts are perfect during the summer months. In spring just add a lightweight raincoat in case of some rain appear. In winter, make sure to bring a lightweight raincoat and light clothing that you can layer for cooler days. Even in cloudy days, please be careful and protect yourself from sunburn by using a cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Also, good and comfortable shoes will make your fishing trip safer and easier.

Sunset Boat Tour to the Sea Caves
Discover São Miguel’s north coast on a unique late-afternoon experience, when the Atlantic transforms into a golden and silent landscape.
Departing from the traditional fishing village of Rabo de Peixe, we sail along the Ribeira Grande coastline, passing striking coastal formations such as Ponta do Ermo and Ponta do Cintrão.
The highlight of the experience takes place in Cintrão Bay, where we explore volcanic sea caves and cliffs illuminated by the warm sunset light. When sea conditions allow, we safely enter the caves, creating an intimate and immersive connection with nature.
On the return, we cross open ocean towards the horizon, watching the sun set over the Atlantic as the island turns into shades of gold and orange - one of the most magical moments of the day in the Azores.
