TY’S TRAVEL ADVENTURES TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Ty’s Travel Adventures!

I’m honored to partner with you in planning an incredible travel experience. Please review the following Terms & Conditions, which outline our professional services and mutual responsibilities to ensure a seamless, transparent process from start to finish.

 

1. Professional Planning Fee

  • Ty’s Travel Adventures requires a non-refundable, non-transferable Professional Planning Fee of $150 for all new trip requests.
  • This fee covers the time, expertise, research, itinerary design, supplier communication, and concierge-level service provided on your behalf. The fee is compensation for professional services and is not applied toward the cost of travel.
  • No planning, research, or reservations will begin until this fee is paid in full through TravelJoy.

 

2. Booking & Payments

  • A supplier-required deposit is necessary to secure any reservation. Deposit amounts and due dates will be outlined in your proposal.
  • Final payment must be received by the supplier’s deadline. Failure to pay on time may result in automatic cancellation without refund.
  • Any changes made after deposit—including name corrections, date changes, or resort modifications—will incur a $50 agency modification fee, in addition to any supplier-imposed fees.
  • Clients are responsible for reviewing all names, dates, and booking details for accuracy prior to submitting payment.

 

3. Consultation & Communication

Once your consultation is scheduled, you will receive:

  • A confirmation email and/or text with call details
  • A post-consultation recap outlining recommendations and next steps
  • A payment link for the Professional Planning Fee

Planning services begin only after the Professional Planning Fee has been received.

 

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@tystraveladventures.com.
  • A $100 per person agency cancellation fee will apply, in addition to any supplier penalties.
  • Refunds, if applicable, are governed solely by the policies of the airlines, resorts, cruise lines, or other suppliers.
  • The Professional Planning Fee remains non-refundable under all circumstances.

 

5. Travel Protection

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your investment from cancellations, medical emergencies, travel delays, and lost baggage.

  • Clients who decline travel insurance must sign a Travel Protection Waiver acknowledging financial responsibility for any losses.
  • Insurance premiums are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued.

 

6. Passports & Documentation

Each traveler is solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining valid passports, visas, and required entry documents
  • Ensuring passports are valid for at least six (6) months beyond travel dates
  • Compliance with all airline and destination entry requirements

Ty’s Travel Adventures is not liable for denied boarding, missed flights, or disruptions caused by improper documentation or traveler error.

 

7. Changes to Itinerary

Suppliers may modify schedules due to weather, safety concerns, or operational needs. Ty’s Travel Adventures will advocate on your behalf and provide alternatives when available but cannot guarantee identical replacements.

 

8. Special Requests

Special requests (room location, bedding, dietary needs, accessibility accommodations, etc.) must be communicated at the time of booking. Ty’s Travel Adventures will submit all requests to suppliers; however, fulfillment cannot be guaranteed.

 

9. Client Conduct & Right to Terminate

Ty’s Travel Adventures reserves the right to terminate the client relationship if a client:

  • Uses abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language
  • Refuses to honor payment terms
  • Fails to respond in a timely manner
  • Engages in behavior that makes the working relationship unproductive or uncomfortable

If the relationship is terminated by either party after work has begun, all planning fees and time invested remain non-refundable.

 

Travelers are expected to behave respectfully while traveling. Inappropriate conduct that results in removal from a trip will be without refund.

 

10. Airfare Policy

To protect your overall travel experience, Ty’s Travel Adventures does not book basic economy or ultra-low-cost carriers (such as Spirit Airlines or Frontier Airlines). Clients who wish to utilize these fares may book them independently.

 

11. Health & Entry Requirements

Clients are responsible for meeting all destination health and entry requirements, including any vaccination, testing, or quarantine rules. Ty’s Travel Adventures is not liable for losses or disruptions related to changes in government regulations.

 

12. Payment Processing & Security

Payments for travel reservations are processed directly by the travel supplier (including airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, or resorts). Ty’s Travel Adventures is not the merchant of record for supplier transactions.

 

Credit card information may be collected securely through TravelJoy for authorization purposes and transmitted to the supplier for payment. Ty’s Travel Adventures does not store credit card details and will never request payment via unsecured platforms such as CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle.

 

13. Chargebacks & Disputes

By authorizing payment to a travel supplier or to Ty’s Travel Adventures for professional services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Clients agree to contact Ty’s Travel Adventures first to resolve any concerns prior to initiating a chargeback or dispute.

 

Improper chargebacks may result in termination of services, forfeiture of active bookings, and pursuit of reimbursement for losses, including administrative and legal fees as permitted by law.

 

14. Agency Role & Liability

Ty’s Travel Adventures acts solely as an independent intermediary between clients and travel suppliers. The agency is not responsible for acts, errors, omissions, schedule changes, cancellations, supplier service failures, weather events, natural disasters, pandemics, or any circumstances beyond our control.

 

15. Gratuities

Gratuities are not included unless specifically stated. It is customary to tip drivers, guides, and hotel staff. Bringing small bills for gratuities is recommended.

 

16. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas. Any disputes arising from or related to services provided by Ty’s Travel Adventures shall be resolved in the courts located in the county in which Ty’s Travel Adventures is based.

 

17. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting your Professional Planning Fee, deposit, or any payment toward your trip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all Terms & Conditions set forth by Ty’s Travel Adventures.
