Day 1 - Your Cruisetour begins in Fairbanks, where you’ll check in at your downtown hotel and meet your dedicated Tour Director, who will guide you through the exciting journey ahead. Fairbanks—known as Alaska’s “Golden Heart”—is a vibrant city blending frontier history with modern culture and serves as a gateway to the Arctic.

Day 2 - Step back in time aboard the iconic Riverboat Discovery, cruising the Chena and Tanana Rivers (lunch included). Continue your journey into Alaska’s Gold Rush history with a visit to Gold Dredge 8, where you’ll try your hand at gold panning. Denali National Park & Preserve

Day 3 - Travel south to Denali National Park for a two-night stay surrounded by pristine wilderness. Visit Denali Square™, the heart of the Holland America Denali Lodge, featuring dining, shopping, entertainment, and breathtaking views across the Nenana River.

Day 4 - Today features the unforgettable Tundra Wilderness Tour, a fully narrated 6–8 hour excursion deep into Denali National Park (snack included). This tour offers the best opportunity to spot Alaska’s “Big Five”—grizzly bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and wolves—while taking in views of Denali, North America’s tallest peak at 20,310 feet.

Day 6 - After a morning at leisure in Anchorage, travel to Alyeska Resort, stopping en route at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Alyeska is your five-star base camp, offering fine dining, luxurious spa services, and optional outdoor excursions.

Day 7 - Enjoy a full day at leisure in Alyeska. Take the aerial tram up Mount Alyeska, rising 2,300 feet for breathtaking alpine views, or explore hiking, fishing, and scenic trails throughout the Girdwood Valley. Alyeska is an outdoor lover’s paradise and a peaceful retreat before your ocean voyage begins.

Day 8 – After a relaxed morning at the resort, transfer to Whittier to board your ship. This small coastal town is surrounded by glaciers and wildlife and serves as the gateway to your Alaska cruise.

Day 9 – Spend the day scenic cruising to Hubbard Glacier, North America’s longest tidewater glacier. Nicknamed the “Galloping Glacier,” Hubbard is one of the few advancing glaciers in Alaska, known for dramatic ice calving and massive blue ice formations towering above the water.

Day 10 – Cruise the ice-filled fjords of Glacier Bay for a full eight hours as National Park Service Rangers and Huna Tlingit cultural guides provide expert narration. Watch for calving glaciers, breaching whales, soaring eagles, and coastal brown bears in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  Holland America Line’s cancellation policy varies based on timing: cancellations on or after March 16, 2027, incur a $600 per person fee; cancellations on or after March 23, 2027, are 50% of the gross fare; and cancellations on or after April 29, 2027, are 100% of the gross fare. For added peace of mind, the Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) allows you to cancel for any reason. The CPP Standard plan provides an 80% refund of eligible amounts paid if canceled up to 24 hours before your trip. U.S. residents (except New York and Puerto Rico) can choose CPP Platinum for a 90% refund plus additional travel insurance benefits underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company.
