Virgin Voyages require Sailors to have a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months after the voyage end date.
Additionally, depending on your country of citizenship, certain ports may also require a visa for entry.
However, it is understood that spontaneous getaways sometimes occur without sufficient time for passport arrangements. If you fall into this category and you are sailing out of Miami, on an eligible closed-loop voyage, and are a United States citizen, we can make an exception to the passport requirement. In such cases, you will need to present one of the following documents:
• Original valid US Passport
• Original valid US Passport Card
• Original valid Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, FAST)
OR ONE OF THE BELOW COMBINATIONS OF DOCUMENTS:
• Original or copy of your state-issued birth certificate AND a physical Government-issued photo ID
• Puerto Rico birth certificates issued prior to July 1, 2010 are not acceptable
• Hospital-issued birth certificates are not acceptable
• Original Consular Report of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State AND a physical Government-issued photo ID
• Original Certificate of Naturalization issued by US Citizenship and Immigration Services AND a physical Government-issued photo ID
In the unlikely event of a medical emergency or unexpected departure from the vessel, a passport will be necessary. Please keep in mind, the above guidelines are based on government regulations, which are subject to change at any time.

What's a cruise without a few choice cocktails? Your sailing includes essential drinks and, while Virgin Voyages does NOT have traditional packages, their drink offerings are very reasonably priced. If you're looking to set aside some loot for premium beverages, Sailors can also purchase Bar Tab before setting sail.
WHAT IS A BAR TAB?
The Bar Tab can only be used on drink purchases to be consumed onboard or at The Beach Club at Bimini. It may not be transferred to pay for other experiences such as Spa, shore excursions, etc…. Any unused Bar Tab credit is nonrefundable and may not be redeemed for cash. It may also not be transferred to another user (though one may purchase bar drinks for another Sailor).
Sailor Loot is the same as on board credit. It is basically “Use it or Lose it” money that you can use on the ship. Sailor Loot can be used for Spa Services, Bar Drinks, Food Upgrades, Haircuts & Styles, Shopping On Board, Casino Gameplay, Shore Things Booked on Board, Bingo Cards for Bingos with a Diva, Horse Race Bids, or to get a new tattoo at the on board Tattoo Parlor.

If you bring any specialty liquors from a port of call on board, as you board, the security team will hold them until your final night.
IF I’M 18, CAN I BRING ALCOHOL ON BOARD?
While 18+ Sailors can enjoy alcoholic beverages at sea, it’s illegal for 18-20 year olds to possess alcohol in Florida. So the short answer is, NO.
CAN I BRING WATER OR SOFT DRINKS ON BOARD?
Small quantities of water, protein based drinks, non-alcoholic beer, or soft drinks in boxes and cans are permitted in hand luggage only. Drinks in bottles (glass or plastic) are NOT permitted. A small quantity is considered a maximum of twelve (12) sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.
CAN I CHOOSE A SPECIFIC CABIN?
NO. Virgin Voyages’ web-based booking system allows Sailors to only choose a cabin category. Virgin Voyages will then assign the best cabin available based on the selected criteria.
