St. Thomas Highlights with Magen’s Bay

Our driver/tour guide will take you to various lookout sites, including Raphune Hill and Beacons Point, which provides a spectacular view of St. Thomas. The next stop will be Skyline Drive, overlooking the downtown area and Charlotte Amalie Harbor. Upon leaving Skyline Drive, we'll travel to the Botanical Gardens at St. Peter Great House. Next, on to Magens Bay Beach, rated as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic. Enjoy two hours of peaceful serenity by swimming, relaxing, or walking along the shore. Upon leaving the beach, you'll be dropped off in downtown Charlotte Amalie to enjoy shopping at your own leisure or you may choose to go back to the ship. 4.75 hours


Amber Cove - Beach Escape with City Highlights
After your departure from the cruise pier, your informative driver will introduce you to the bustling city of Puerto Plata. Drawn to its natural port, Puerto Plata was discovered by Christopher Columbus in the late 1490's. Your guide will fill you in on many more interesting details about this city, including photo stops at several famous and historic locations. Now it's on to the beach...white sand, gentle breezes, brilliant shades of turquoise water! Upon you arrival, you will be greeted with a complimentary "specialty of the house" beverage and shown to your complimentary lounger. It's time to spend the next couple hours doing whatever you desire, swimming, frolicking in the surf, sunbathing, strolling along the beach or maybe even taking a nap. This is the perfect day in a tropical paradise.


Grand Turk - Beautiful Beach Day
This small, intimate resort is the only property on Grand Turk that is able to deliver a quiet and calming experience. We discovered this property after scouring the island and therefore developed this opportunity which allows you time to enjoy this resort as if you were overnight guests. Just arrive at your own pace by taxi, not included, and check-in. From that moment till you leave, the time table is yours to determine for the day. Select a beach chair, included in the cost, at the edge of the blue water. Or find some shade in the multiple palm-lined quiet corners where you can relax with a rum punch or chill out in a hammock. The service is excellent and the best of Grand Turk is before you - the aqua water framed by white sand. If you're hungry, you've come to the right place! Pick and choose what you like from our sampler lunch of conch, fish, lobster, chicken, and yummy side dishes (depending on availability). Plenty of sides round out the plate. Additional beverages are available for purchase from the bar. If you wish you can opt for more, snorkeling (gear is additional $20 per person), kayaks ($20 for 2 hours), as well as other activities available for rental onsite. To keep the calm demeanor of this property we suggest you book early as there is a limited number of spaces available each day.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations may be made before the final payment on 10/04/2020 11:59 EST and passengers are entitled to a full refund.  Any cancellations made after 10/05/2020 will be subject to the following penalty fee and schedule; any remaining balance will become a Future Cruise Credit towards the first

client’s payment. 

Cancellations made after 10/06/2020 - $250 per person penalty assessed.

Cancellations made on or after 11/09/2020 – 50% total fare penalty assessed.

Cancellations made on or after 12/05/2020 – 75% total fare penalty assessed.

Cancellations made on 12/20/2020 – 100% total fare penalty assessed.


CRUISE CANCELLATION

If a cruise is canceled, guests will have the option to receive either a cash refund or a future cruise credit.

ITINERARY CHANGE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE:

If Carnival has adequate notice prior to sailing that a vessel will deviate from the published itinerary it will promptly – upon making the itinerary change -- notify guests of the change through their travel agents or directly, in the case of a direct guest booking.

If the itinerary change is for reasons within Carnival’s exclusive control, guests will have the opportunity to cancel their booking without penalty prior to sailing and within 24 hours of the guest notification, and in such an instance, guests will have the option to receive either a cash refund or a future cruise credit. In the event a guest does not cancel the cruise on a timely basis, no refund of any kind will be available.

Due to the nature of a cruise vacation, itinerary changes sometimes become necessary for safety, weather or other reasons beyond the control of Carnival. If the itinerary change is for reasons beyond Carnival’s exclusive control, including but not limited to safety, security, weather, strikes, tides, hostilities, civil unrest, port closings, emergency debarkations of guests or crew, late air, sea, car or motor coach departures or arrivals, mechanical breakdowns or problems not known to Carnival, itinerary changes consistent with U.S. State Department travel warnings / advisories or other applicable US or foreign governmental advisories, guests will not be provided any compensation. Guests electing to cancel will be subject to the standard cancellation terms.             

ITINERARY CHANGE AFTER DEPARTURE:
In the event an itinerary change becomes necessary while the ship is at sea or when notice prior to sailing is not feasible, Carnival and/or the Master will attempt to substitute an alternative port. Carnival and/or the Master may, in their discretion and for any purpose, deviate in any direction or for any purpose from the direct or usual course, and omit or change any or all ports of calls, arrival or departure times, with or without notice, for any reason whatsoever, all such deviations being considered as forming part of and included in the proposed voyage. Carnival shall have no liability for any refund or other damages in such circumstances.

REFUND OF TAXES, FEES AND PORT EXPENSES:
If a port is canceled from the scheduled itinerary, a refund of the taxes, fees and port expenses for the canceled port will be provided via a shipboard credit.

THIRD-PARTY COSTS RESULTING FROM CRUISE CANCELLATIONS OR ITINERARY CHANGES:
Carnival shall not be liable to guests for any charges, fees or expenses paid or owed to third parties by guests (such as air travel booked by a guest directly with an airline) in connection with a canceled cruise or an itinerary change for any reason.

VACATION GUARANTEE:
Nothing herein shall affect the guest's ability to exercise the Vacation Guarantee on sailings where it applies.

    Damajagua or "27 Charcos" (Charco translates as "pool" and refers to the natural swimming pools of the falls) as the locals call it, is one exhilarating eco-adventure not to be missed in the Dominican Republic. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Northern Corridor mountain range and behind the long stalks of sugar cane lays a treasure you won't find anywhere else in the world.

    Your adventure begins at the main gates of the Amber Cove Cruise Center where you're welcomed and greeted by the friendly staff who will be escorting you on the tour. A narrated, countryside drive will take you to the Damajagua "base camp" located within a tropical forest. Immersed in the beautiful landscape of the "Cordillera Central" (mountain range), the "Salto de la Damajagua" and its 27 lagoons are part of the system of a protected area of the Dominican Republic. This natural monument of the Damajagua River is composed of 27 bodies of water of various sizes.

    Here you will have time to use the facilities before hearing important rules and safety instructions and receiving your helmet, life-jacket, and bottle of water. Then you are on your way up-hill for approximately 30-minutes to the first waterfall. Official park guides are located at each fall, slide, or jump and climb. Although this tour does include jumps of up to 25 feet, there are paths at some of the highest jumps where you can choose to walk around.

    Your return to base camp is by jumping and sliding down 12 of the natural waterslides carved from centuries of rushing water. After your adventure, you will have a chance to change into dry clothing.

    On your return to the cruise center, you will enjoy lively, typical music as you sip on your rum punch and enjoy a snack provided by your guide.

    Exclusive Supreme Snorkeling in Grand Turk

    This 3.5-hour Grand Turk excursion is a must-do for ocean lovers! The excitement starts as you board a boat for a ride through Grand Turk's beautiful turquoise waters to Coral Gardens Reef.

    This shallow reef contains numerous soft and hard coral and an abundance of colorful fish. If the weather permits you might even get to pet or kiss one of the resident nurse sharks!

    From there you will travel to the Amazing Wall, a coral shelf internationally famous with divers due to its dramatic shelf drops. The wall begins in the shallows at 20 feet, then drops to 70 feet, then 700 feet and finally to a depth of 7,000 feet and beyond.

    During this Grand Turk tour you will snorkel along the shallow shelf and watch as fish dart in and out of the dozens of species of dancing coral and sea fans. This magical undersea world is also home to numerous sea life including manta rays, sea turtles and an assortment of beautiful reef fish. While here, swim to the shelf's edge to see divers disappearing into the blue as they descend lower and lower down the wall.
