Protect Your Cruise
We strongly recommend that every traveler consider purchasing travel insurance for this trip.
A cruise is a significant financial commitment, and unexpected events can happen before or during travel. Depending on the policy selected, travel insurance may provide protection for certain covered circumstances such as:
- Illness or injury that prevents you from traveling
- Emergency medical treatment while traveling
- Emergency medical evacuation from the ship or a destination
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Flight delays or cancellations that cause you to miss the ship
- Missed cruise connections
- Lost, delayed, or damaged baggage
- Certain weather-related or other covered travel disruptions
Without travel insurance, you may be personally responsible for these expenses and may lose some or all of the money you have paid toward your trip if you are unable to travel.
Please remember that cruise line cancellation policies become increasingly restrictive as the sailing date approaches. An illness, family emergency, transportation problem, or other unexpected situation does not automatically entitle a traveler to a refund.
Medical emergencies can also be particularly expensive while cruising. Your regular health insurance may provide limited or no coverage outside the United States, and emergency transportation or evacuation from a ship or foreign destination can result in substantial out-of-pocket expenses.
Purchase Early
Some travel insurance benefits are time-sensitive. Depending on the policy, purchasing coverage shortly after making your initial trip deposit may be required to qualify for certain benefits, such as a waiver of the pre-existing medical condition exclusion or optional Cancel For Any Reason coverage.
Waiting until later may mean that some coverage options are no longer available.
Important
Travel insurance is optional, and the decision whether to purchase coverage is yours. We cannot guarantee that any particular circumstance will be covered. Benefits, exclusions, limits, eligibility requirements, and covered reasons vary by insurance policy.
Please carefully review the insurance policy and coverage details before purchasing.
If You Choose Not to Purchase Travel Insurance
By declining travel insurance, you acknowledge that you understand the financial risks of traveling without coverage, including the possibility that you may lose prepaid or non-refundable trip expenses and may be personally responsible for expenses resulting from medical emergencies, evacuation, delays, interruptions, missed connections, or other unexpected circumstances.
I understand that travel insurance has been recommended to me, and if I voluntarily choose to decline coverage I accept the financial risks associated with traveling without travel insurance.
