Working Agreement
This short agreement explains how Sun Sand Slope Vacations LLC ("SSS") works with you. Our promise: we plan, you play. Below are the basics of how that works in practice. Trip-specific terms (cancellation policies, insurance details, payment schedules) will be provided with each proposal before any booking is confirmed.
1. What I do.
SSS provides travel planning, advisory, and coordination services. I listen to what you want, build options that fit, and handle the booking and logistics.
2. How trips get booked.
Two structures, disclosed in writing before any payment:
(a) Travel Advisor Booking - booked through my host agency, A.S.A.P. Cruises, Inc. d/b/a OutsideAgents (operating under Cruises & Tours Unlimited). Payments typically go directly to suppliers; supplier terms apply.
(b) SSS-Direct Booking - used for some group trips and packaged itineraries. SSS collects payment through TravelJoy and remits to suppliers on your behalf.
3. How I get paid.
I'm typically compensated through commissions paid by suppliers, usually no separate fee to you. If a service fee ever applies (rare, complex itineraries), I'll disclose it in writing in advance.
4. Planning is not a reservation.
Quotes, proposals, and itineraries don't hold space or lock in pricing. A booking exists only after you accept a proposal, agree to applicable terms, and receive my written confirmation.
5. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Travel involves real risk: cancellation, medical events, weather, supplier failure. I'll present insurance options with each proposal, and you'll confirm your coverage decision in writing before booking. If you decline insurance, that decline will be documented in writing, and you accept full financial responsibility for any losses, medical events, or cancellations that insurance would have covered.
6. Suppliers are independent.
Airlines, hotels, resorts, dive operators, and tour operators are independent third parties. SSS does not control them and is not responsible for their cancellations, delays, errors, or losses. All travel is subject to supplier terms.
7. Limit on liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SSS's liability for its own services is limited to fees paid directly to SSS for the trip in question. SSS is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for issues caused by third-party suppliers.
8. New Jersey law.
This agreement is governed by New Jersey law. SSS LLC is an NJ limited liability company; New Jersey does not maintain a Seller of Travel registration program. 9. Events beyond our control.
SSS is not liable for delays, cancellations, or losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, government actions, public health events, supplier insolvency or shutdowns, labor disputes, or other force majeure events. In such cases, your remedies depend on the policies of the relevant suppliers and any travel insurance you have purchased. This is another reason I strongly recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
10. Group trips.
For group travel, you may designate a primary contact authorized to make booking decisions, approve changes, and receive trip documents on behalf of the group. The primary contact's written approval (including by email) is binding on the group for booking and change matters, unless otherwise specified in writing. Individual travelers remain personally responsible for their own payments, document compliance, and insurance decisions.
11. Travel Terms also apply.
These terms supplement the SSS Travel Terms posted at sunsandslope.com/travel-terms, which provide additional general terms applicable to all interactions with SSS. Where these terms and the Travel Terms conflict, this Working Agreement controls.
Acceptance
By signing below, you authorize SSS to begin work on your trip and agree to the terms above. Trip-specific terms will be provided with your proposal/booking.
