Deposit & Refund Policy
All initial deposits made to Original Platinum Travels Co. are non-refundable, except where expressly stated otherwise by the supplier or our agency.
Research Fees: Applied toward your final group payment, not the initial deposit. In the event of cancellation, research fees remain nonrefundable and serve to compensate for our time and expertise in crafting your trip.
Additional payments made directly to suppliers that are refundable will be administered according to the supplier’s policies and the terms of your selected travel insurance. Without travel insurance, refunds may be nonrefundable and subject to forfeiture at the time of cancellation.
Research Fees by Group Size
Up to 10 rooms: $50 deposit
11 to 30 rooms: $100 deposit
31 to 99 rooms: $200 deposit
Over 100 rooms: Customized based on level of work required
Traveler Information Required
For up to 10 rooms, all lead traveler names and emails per room must be provided upon official request and research fee submission.
Larger groups must provide points of contact, including full names and emails, when the invoice is paid. These are the individuals authorized to make final trip arrangements and approve changes.
This information is necessary for accurate pricing and seamless organization.
Group Booking Process
A bespoke group booking page will be provided for each group, shareable with all attendees.
Our concierge team handles payment collection and organizes rooming arrangements unless instructed otherwise by your group.
Individual invoices will be issued to each traveler, with minors (21 and under) traveling with adults merged onto joint invoices.
Speculative Trips
No research fees are applied to trips already planned by our agency unless significant changes to the proposed itinerary are requested (such as revised dates, hotel/cruise line, or excursions). Airport location modifications do not incur fees, as flights are rarely included in packages.
Agency Rationale
These policies protect our agency against unpaid requests and complimentary quotes that result in lost time and revenue, ensuring every experience is curated with the highest level of care and resources.
Client Certification
By submitting payment, you certify that you are an authorized point of contact for your group and agree not to dispute valid research charges consistent with the invoice terms. Prompt payment is required to initiate the booking process.
