Terms & Conditions

We are  Andrea Hermann with Breakthrough Travel and are excited to help you with your travel. The following terms & conditions (the "Agreement") describe what you can expect from us. The terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to Breakthrough Travel and the term "you" refers to the individual who signs this agreement.

 

1. Scope of Services

I provide professional travel planning and booking services, which may include (but are not limited to):

 

• Vacation consultation and itinerary design

• Booking of flights, accommodations, cruises, tours, transportation, and travel protection

• Destination guidance and supplier coordination

• Ongoing support before and during travel

 

Services are complimentary to the client unless otherwise stated. Compensation is typically paid by travel suppliers in the form of commission.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

 

• Provide accurate traveler information (legal names, dates of birth, passport details, etc.)

• Review all invoices, confirmations, and documents for accuracy upon receipt

• Comply with all supplier terms, conditions, and deadlines

• Maintain valid travel documents (passport, visas, vaccinations, etc.)

 

Failure to provide accurate information may result in supplier penalties for which the client is responsible.

3. Payments, Pricing & Fees

• All pricing is subject to availability and supplier terms at the time of booking.

• Prices may change until a deposit or full payment is applied.

• Deposits and final payments are governed by individual supplier policies.

• Some suppliers may charge additional service, resort, or fuel fees beyond quoted pricing.

 

Any planning or service fees (if applicable) will be disclosed in advance and are non-refundable.

4. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

 

• All cancellations, changes, and refunds are subject to the terms and penalties imposed by travel suppliers.

• I do not control supplier policies and cannot waive penalties.

• Refund timelines are determined by the supplier and may take several weeks or longer.

• Travel protection is strongly recommended to protect your investment.

5. Travel Protection Recommendation

I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance or protection to cover trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, and supplier default.

If travel protection is declined, the client assumes full financial responsibility for any losses due to cancellations, delays, medical issues, or unforeseen events.

6. Supplier Responsibility & Force Majeure

I act solely as an intermediary between clients and travel suppliers and am not responsible for:

 

• Acts or omissions of airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, or other suppliers

• Weather, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, or other force majeure events

• Changes to itineraries, schedules, or accommodations made by suppliers

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for:

 

• Injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or expense arising from travel

• Financial losses due to supplier insolvency or service disruptions

• Missed flights, connections, or vacation time due to traveler error or third-party actions

8. Passports, Visas & Health Requirements

Clients are responsible for ensuring they meet all travel entry requirements, including:

 

• Passport validity (often 6 months beyond travel dates)

• Required visas

• Vaccinations or health documentation

Entry requirements vary by destination and are subject to change.

9. Communication & Documentation

Electronic communication (email, text, or digital invoice/authorization) is considered valid and binding. Clients agree that approval via electronic means constitutes acceptance of terms and authorization to book travel services.

10. Independent Contractor Status

I operate as an independent travel advisor and am not an employee or agent of any travel supplier. Supplier terms and conditions apply in addition to this agreement.

11. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Agreement Acceptance

By submitting payment, authorizing a booking, or engaging my services, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
