We are Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel and we are excited to help you with your travel. The following terms & conditions (the "Agreement") describe what you can expect from us. The terms "we", "us", "Agency" and "our" refer to Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel and the term "you", "my", and "client" refers to the individual who signs this agreement.
Documentation: Travel documentation appropriate for entry to your itinerary destinations, such as passports, visas & inoculation certificates, remain each traveler’s responsibility. It is each traveler’s responsibility to make certain that they have proper immunizations before travel - please see your health provider for advice. Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel may advise required documentation but travelers who do not meet advised requirements will be denied boarding. Valid passports are required for all international destinations. If a passport is required to travel, the expiration date must be at least six (6) months following the return date of the planned travel. Each foreign country holds different views of past criminal offenses - if you have a current or past offense, please contact that country directly for entry and exit requirements. Travelers with DWI or DUI records should check whether current rules exclude admission to foreign destinations. Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel feels it is an invasion of privacy for members of our staff to make such an inquiry and these requirements remain the traveler’s responsibility. The client understands that it is his/her responsibility to check the latest travel advisories for the destination they intend on traveling to with the U.S. State Department. Travel.state.gov
Pricing: Price quotes are applicable to the date and time at which they are requested. Quotes in foreign currency are subject to fluctuations in exchange rates and international credit card issuer fees. Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel is not responsible for any increases due to fuel surcharges, government-imposed taxes/fees, or supplier-imposed increases. Please note that per our supplier contracts, we cannot offer a breakdown of pricing.
Checkin & Departure Responsibilities: It is strongly recommended that you check in a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to scheduled departure for international flights. *It is the traveler’s responsibility to reconfirm flight times at least 24-72 hours prior to scheduled flights. Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel will not assume responsibility for any air or schedule changes. Certain countries require departure taxes that require payment in cash. *Recommended check-in times are subject to change without notification. It is the traveler’s responsibility to remain abreast of changes in condition or airport rules that might require earlier arrival times. This information can be found when entering your confirmation number on the airline website.
Travel Protection/Insurance: Travel protection and insurance are strongly recommended to protect your investment. Unless specifically noted, travel insurance is not included in the cost of the client’s itinerary. Information for travel insurance will be sent to you upon request. The client understands that it is his/her responsibility to have travel insurance to ensure they have coverage for all medical needs and trip cancellation, but understands that concerns or fear of travel is not a covered reason for cancellation relating to the Coronavirus/ Covid-19 and will be denied. The client holds Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel harmless for his or her election to not purchase travel insurance or any denial of claim by travel insurer as it relates to Covid-19 or any other claim under the policy. Travel insurance generally only covers unforeseen events. Most insurers classified COVID-19 as a "known event" as of January 2020. Please note that most policies have a specific clause stating they do not cover epidemics and pandemics, especially when travel warnings are in place. The client understands that he/she is bound by the terms of the insurance policy as it relates to Coronavirus/Covid-19.
Payment Policy: Final balances are typically due 60 days prior to the first day of service booked. If travel is within 60 days, full payment is required at time of booking. Failure to complete payment on time will result in the cancellation of services. Payments will be auto-drafted on your initial payment method on your final payment date. You will receive an alert about the upcoming payment prior to allow for any adjustments to your payment method to be made. No accommodation or other service will be held or booked until payment is received. All itineraries are subject to availability. In the event that any portion of the proposed is unavailable at time of booking, Jet Set Geaux will make comparable alternative arrangements.
The bulk of our business is conducted via credit or debit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. The client is required to provide authorization to apply funds to arrangements in your name for every transaction for your trip. The authorization, be it in the full formal authorization or the shortened text version of authorizations a binding agreement for us to charge your card and as such, you waive any right to chargeback in the case of cancellationfor any cause (except fraud), including a force majeure event, and agree to the refund policies dictated by the travel supplier. In the event a client attempts a chargeback, reverse, or recollect a payment already made without our express written consent, we reserve the right to collect all additional costs, fees, and expenses associated with such chargeback, reversal, or recollection including, without limitation, attorney fees and Agency's rate of $50.00 per hour.
Cancellation: All cancellations must be made in writing to Jet Set Geaux. The penalty timeline is based on the time we receive your request in writing and are able to make the needed actions within operating business hours of our office and those of our partners.
Revisions: If you would like to change any details of your booking after it has been confirmed, more than 30 days prior to travel, we will do our best to accommodate. There is a review fee of $100. Within 30 days of travel, there is a revision fee of $100 for each individual reservation. Once travel has begun, any en-route change requests will be subject to a revision fee of $150 for each individual reservation that is requested. Please note that Jet Set Geaux cannot guarantee that such alterations will be possible. The customer is responsible for any and all costs associated with any changes.
Responsibility: Jet Set Geaux and our partners do not own or operate any property or entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, local ground operators, etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. Jet Set Geaux does not accept any liability for any loss, claim damages (direct or indirect, incidental, special or consequential, including but not limited to lost profit or lost savings), accident, delay, omission or act whether negligent or otherwise on the part of a supplier of facilities for travel or any representative, employee, agent or servant of a supplier of facilities for travel.
Additional Disclosure: Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel is not the source or supplier of the travel services requested and acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal supplier cruise lines, hotels, airlines, ground transportation, and other companies providing accommodations, transportation, and/or other services. Each of these suppliers is an independent entity with its own management and is not subject to the control of Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel. Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel shall not be liable for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to the client or to those traveling with the client in connection with any travel services we have booked, including but not limited to acts of God, weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, strikes, epidemics, acts of terrorism, breakdown in the equipment, theft, delay, fuel increases or cancelation or change in intermarrying or schedules. I acknowledge and accept that there are cancelation policies, change fees, and penalties that apply to my travel plans and services as set by travel suppliers. If for any reason my credit card charges are later declined, reversed, or Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel is unable to receive payment for the travel plans and services, I acknowledge that this is a binding contract and Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel will be entitled to recovery, including reasonable attorneys’ fees in connection with the collection.
As the Lead Client on this reservation, you have discussed the above with your travel companion(s) and acknowledge that you are signing on their behalf.
Coronavirus COVID-19: The 2019 Novel Coronavirus* (COVID-19, “Coronavirus”) is a known and rapidly evolving pandemic that is affecting travel worldwide, with continued spread and impacts expected. The client is fully aware of the current global Coronavirus COVID-19 virus outbreak, the current travel restrictions, and inherent risks involved if choosing to travel. The client understands that it is his/her responsibility to check the latest travel information regarding this virus outbreak with the CDC.
The client acknowledges that the pandemic remains ongoing at this time and that for this reason, and other reasons not reasonably foreseeable at this time, these travel plans may be interrupted or canceled but the supplier that is providing them, a government entity, or other third-party over which we have no control. The client further acknowledges that the supplier's own cancellation, rebooking, and refund policies, subject to any applicable law that is now or later may be in effect, will govern the client's rights and remedies, including the right to a refund, in such an event. Moreover, the client understands that should the client elect to purchase travel insurance, the terms of the policy will dictate whether, and to what extent, coverage for any financial loss may exist under the circumstances. By signing below, the client agrees to hold Jet Set Geaux harmless and release it from any and all liability for any damages, including but not limited to monetary losses, the client may incur as a result of such interruption or cancellation of these travel plans.
The client is aware of the travel warnings, travel restrictions, and rules and understands the risks. The client is accepting of these and holds Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel harmless for any travel restrictions, death, illness, cancellations by suppliers, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour agencies, or any other travel provider, financial loss, quarantining rules or measures put in place at airports or destinations you are traveling through. The client further agrees to hold Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel harmless for any financial penalties or fees imposed by suppliers, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour agencies, or any other travel provider due to cancellations or postponements due to Covid 19 and agrees not to institute a credit card dispute or “charge back” to Jet Set Geaux Luxury Travel for said penalties or fees.
The client is aware that additional screening procedures and restrictions may take place at airports and in public areas. The client is aware that these restrictions may include mandatory face coverings and/or temperature checks in airports, hotels, cruise ships, trains, or other means of transport. The client is aware that Immigration restrictions may be put in place before or during your travels that may impede your ability to enter or exit your destination as planned. The client is aware that it is his/her personal decision to travel and is doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions and takes full responsibility for his/her actions with regard to this.
The current travel environment is changing rapidly. Agency has provided you with the latest information at their disposal regarding the policies related to the destination entry requirements well as policies related to each travel component booked through Agency. You agree to hold Agency harmless if any changes occur between notice given and time of travel. Agency recommends each traveler register with the www.travel.us.goc/STEP program. It is your responsibility to register independently as this is a government locator program designed to track US travelers abroad.
